In love with this spot! I went there with my husband for a little coffee break and we were not disappointed. The owner is such a sweetheart, very helpful and kind! The coffee was sooo tasty and the brownie was absolutely delicious! Bonus points for the cat!

Expert roaster and coffee shop owner gave me a brief of coffee industry in Istanbul. He told me about his story and his passion in coffee. It’s hard to find such knowledgeable professionals nowadays, that’s why I highly respect this coffee shop. I picked up a medium roast Ethiopian bag recently roasted to brew in V60. I liked it so much. High Quality %100 Arabica beans, and reasonably priced. The shop is one of a kind in Istanbul. Wish it was near my house. Overall score 4.7/5 for a Specialty Coffee Shop

I am on a long term stay in Istanbul, and it's not my first time in the city. So i was a little shocked when i had to pay 240 lira for a coffee + a slice of cheesecake. Felt a bit like a tourist price, and there was no menu to check the price against to make sure it's correct and i felt a little uncomfortable to question it. Please can you make your menu publicly available to avoid any confusions? Other than that cheesecake was delicious and interior cosy. But didn't feel very nice afterwards because i felt overcharged. (However if that's really your official price, then apologies).

Lovely coffee shop, visited it a few mornings while staying in Balat and always had a great cappuccino. Friendly service, good atmosphere and music in a nice street. I will miss it.

As a self proclaimed coffee connoisseur, I recently had the pleasure of visiting a cafe that truly impressed me. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The decor was a blend of modern and rustic, with natural wood accents and comfortable seating areas that invited me to sit down and enjoy my coffee. The cafe had an extensive menu of coffee drinks, and the owner/operator is most knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. I was impressed by the attention to detail in the preparation of each drink, from the perfectly pulled espresso shots to the carefully steamed milk. I ordered a cortado and was blown away by the rich, velvety texture and perfect balance of espresso and milk. What really set this cafe apart, however, was the quality of the coffee itself. The beans were clearly carefully sourced and expertly roasted, resulting in a flavor profile that was complex and nuanced, with notes of chocolate, caramel, and a hint of fruitiness. I was thrilled to learn that the cafe offers a variety of house roasted beans for sale. Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to any coffee lover looking for a truly exceptional coffee experience. From the quality of the coffee to the location and ambiance, every aspect of this cafe was top-notch. Out of the probably 100+ cafes to choose from in Balat area this has quickly become my go to spot.

The coffeehouse is located just opposite the largest Synagogue of Istanbul, namely Ahrida Synagogue. Ahrida is deriving from the word of Ohrid in Northern Macedonia. In the past Jewish people from Ohrid came and settled down here. While drinking your coffee in this highly comfortable coffeehouse which is decorated with turquoise (Turkish blue) chairs, I suggest you also read history of Jewish people in Balat area. There are books written by tourguides in the coffeehouse but unfortunately most in Turkish language. I frequently go to that place with my guests in my walking tours around Balat and the owner always welcomes us wholeheartedly. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

A very interesting cafe. Super friendly, bit eccentric owner who adds to the experience. I'd recommend the macchiato. You can buy your coffee beans here too. Perhaps not the most comfortable of places to sit, it's fine for a chat. Bit pricier than some other cafes in the area. Definitely worth coming to if visiting the area.

Best cafe in Balat! The owner is really friendly and welcoming, and the desserts and drinks are really great. The chai latte is the best! Must visit if you’re in the neighbourhood.
