Except good location and the fact that we could leave our luggage there, everything else was a disaster! First, no real windows in some of the rooms. Bugs in the bed, which made us sleep in the sleeping bags. The only night in India. The worst part were dogs that were barking the whole night, i managed 2.5 hours sleep. Lousy breakfast. And what is really annoying, i've tried to get some refund from them, Booking says the owner does not reply. Run from it. Whatever issue you'll have, he sill just ignore it.

Fisrt time we stayed in a "Home stay", but host was unaware of How to treat a Guest. He never came out as a welcome gesture. Felt like, we were Intruders rather than a Guest.

This is a fantastic home stay. Located on the edge of the lake and very easily accessible. The backdoor opens to the promenade overlooking the lake. There are 2 wonderful and friendly dogs here. 3 rooms available for rental which are huge in size. The owners family stays on the same premises and are very very helpful regards planning trip, etc. Definitely worth a stay when in Bhopal.

A beautiful peaceful place to stay away from the Chaos of the city. The owner is a very decent gentleman with a very friendly approach to the guests. Location right by the lake.. You can access lakeside from the lounge area and is excellent for a walk down the lake.

Host is not good... We felt like we are not welcomed there. Better book a hotel... You will get better comfort

Perfect home stay. Cleanliness is top notch. The view is amazing. Hosts are also good. Food quality is also amazing. Will definitely plan a longer stay here soon.

There is no reason not to book this place if you are going to Bhopal we stayed there only for 1 night but we loved the place the owner Rishi bhai is very welcoming, the staff is helpful. you get homemade food here which is great.

I stayed at Lagovilla for two weeks and had a very good experience. Location 5/5 Rooms 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Service 5/5 The staff is very courteous and helpful. The rooms are super spacious. The house is very artistically decorated, and has a very warm homely feel to it. The little garden in the backyard is the best spot to chill at all day since it's the hub for squirrels and a variety of bird species. With the upper lake right in front, the place is super breezy and cool through the day. Definitely recommend it to anyone travelling to Bhopal and wants to be centrally located.

Lago villa is nice stay with great and mesmerizing location. Almost I had wonderful experience with our stay. Concerning with dogs, they were friendly but dog care taker should be there . Owner was friendly and helping .

Although there are many positives of this place, the best part is the location -- it's just opposite to the lake, with a personal walkway (from 19:30 to 06:00 -- other time, it's for outsiders too). The sunset view at lake, from the house lawn, with a cup of tea/coffee is amazing. We went with family -- however, this can be a great place for newly married couples -- even two/three families will be great. Inside the city, still very quiet and nature friendly. The service person, Mr. Sunil is very cordial -- and house owner Mr. Rishi is very caring about his boarders -- met us every evening to have friendly chat and at the same time. provided us ideas about tours. You can order foods through Swiggy -- you also can have home cooked foods -- Sunil is an excellent cook. Overall, great experience -- home away from home.

Beautiful location in front of the Upper Lake with a cute little garden overlooking the promenade. We got the Lake Facing room, frankly you must make sure that you have that one. The mine host is chatty, warm, informative and friendly. The two big dogs Tiger and Bullet are cuddle joys if you are a DL. Big and clean rooms, very well appointed and tastefully furnished.

This homestay has great locational advantage - it is right on the Upper Lake, which is a sight to enjoy, the air is so fresh. The back gate opens right on the lake which one can enjoy for a morning walk, a lazy stroll or a boat ride. Several spots one may enjoy are very close to the homestay - the forest reserve, the tribal habitat, the museums, and art space. The homestay also has two cycles for any guests who would like to explore the city on cycle. The room and bathroom is well-equipped and clean - however, it could have been much more cosier. It’s alright for those travelling for work. On a holiday though, one would prefer a much more relaxed room ambience. The breakfast at the homestay is really nice. The staff service is slow but manageable.

I am Posting this review a bit late, apologies to Mr Khattar. We enjoyed a delightful stay at their place in Feb 2020, just before the pandemic. We booked the large room with a double bed and two twin beds, and the room was spacious and comfy to boot. The bathroom was spotless, with daily housekeeping and change of sheets. What no one has mentioned us that they have a fully equipped kitchen with a well stocked refrigerator, which is super convenient. No issues with bringing outside food, and using cutlery. The caretaker couple are a gem, cook a superb breakfast (included in a very reasonable tariff), and will provide simple homely food on prior notice. Twice they packed an early and hearty breakfast for us. and . I met people from Mumbai, banglore and even a local couple, who had happily chosen lago villa for their frequent visits. Believe me, u will miss the place when u return home. Thank you mr khattar and your mom (please convey my regards) for sharing your home. Places like yours keep the travel bug Alive and kicking!

A wonderful home stay. The owner Rishi is a very helpful person. The rooms are big and very clean. The location is fabulous, facing the lake. They have an entrance through the villa on to the promenade along the lake which is really worth every penny.

3 Room Home stay. Very helpful and polite staff. The owners who live upstairs are very cooperative. Room overlooking the lake has a small verandah and a cute lawn attached to it. Breakfast is fresh and delightful. Spotlessly clean and large room with reasonable amenities. The location is at a walkable distance to most of the historic sites and Bharat bhavan. Night view of the lake from the room lawn is a memorable one.

The place is right next to the lake (Badi Jheel) and its amazing. The backyard opens directly in the public garden/walkway. The rooms are very very spacious, 4 people can easily accomodate in the rooms. The bathrooms are huge as well. The food and the service was quite decent and you won't regret choosing this place.

A HOME away from HOME..............I am short of words to appreciate the hospitality received at Lago Villa. Its overwhelming and eternal. Thank you Mr. Rishi for making our stay flawless, comfortable and cherish able. The ambience as mentioned is adorable. The maintenance is meticulous. The Aunty is so generous and concerned about our stay that we never felt away from home. The cleanliness and interior is stunning. Every door you open, you find a table with a sanitizer. The hygiene is always been kept foremost after the covid waves. The view of बड़ा तालाब from the backside lawn is just not scenic but peaceful. The food being served is homemade with a touch of love and affection, as it is from my own kitchen. Rooms are exceptionally large, even the bathroom too. Enough parking place for four cars. The two pets, Tiger & Bullet were also so homely and lovable. I wish GLV all the very best and prosperity in future.
