This lake is probably least known for people, One of the most peaceful and calm places in chennai.You can get a great view of Vandalur Mountain and this massive lake ahead of it! Its located beside the Exit Lane on the way towards vandaloor via Outer Ring Road. Many people stop here for some rest and photography. Even this place can be improved and renovated for visitors and public. It's a great pleasure to be here at Mornings and Evenings! Nice and calm ambience with fresh and chill breeze! No parking available, so you have to park your vehicle by the road side with parking lights ON that's it.

Surrounding is good but water is very dirty. You can experience cold breeze of air during evening.

Very good place and its nature's gift. However panchayat is dumping garbages on the east side of this lake. Very sad to see this beautiful lake is dumped with garbages

The lake is almost full with recent rains in the catchment areas of the lake supplying abundant water. The underground water has been greatly improved by the almost full lake helping residents in the nearby localities of vandalur mudichur Lakshmi Nagar mannivakkam etc . The cattle from these areas are greatly benefitted by this lake. After Dec 2015 now the lake is almost full now.

Large lake in SRM campus. Provides cool relief while walking around. At the moment closed down. There are boats parked near entrance but entry is closed. May be soon the boating starts and little bit if maintenance will bring back the glory of the lake.

Close to srm University

The lake is located at the entrance of the University. Though from away it looks scenic but on coming closer one can easily smell the dirty water. There is a broken boat, I don't know what they do with it but I saw people rowing in the lake. Instead of dirty water, the greenery around the lake provides a feast to the eyes. It is a good place for clicking pictures especially during sunrise, sunset and when there are clouds. Sometimes it is the coolest place, especially in the evening.
