A wonderful site to visit at morning or evening. It's width is small but very deep when the time we visited. It has a great potential for becoming a tourist spot if it is maintained well. The water is contaminated. Even villagers won't take bath or enter into lake. We can take some good scenic snap. Village Roads also not bad except few speedbump, can easily cruse at 70-80kmph.

A great spot in a reserve forest area. Reasonably clean due to the efforts of Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI) led by Arun Krishnamurthi. In fact it’s cleaner than earlier. Not safe after dark though, and cars have to be parked at the edge of the road. Come at sundown to hear the screeching of Peacocks! Sometimes people drink here and strew things around, which is bad.

Best place for an early morning visit for chennai people. Easily accessible and google maps takes you to this place correctly. Lotus filled Lake with peacocks and other birds around. Wonderful to hear birds chirping. Also there are some water snakes around. One part was covered with trees for shade.

A very beautiful and silent place. Bus transport is available to reach here. We went here through bike. From chromepet it took around 40 minutes to reach the lake. Proper roads are available and we can enjoy the nature on both the sides while we drive. Lake view are too good and can enjoy sometime being there. We can see lot of peacock here. Near to this lake, we can also visit lord Shiva temple and its been considered as one of the oldest temple. Places are surrounded by hills and pollution free area.

A beautiful lake went in the month of September. Would have been even better if there were more water in the lake. Saw a local person using an innovative form of fishing. Saw some peacocks from far away. Truly a great experience.

This lake is tucked away in a serene environment inside a reserve forest. Located 7km off Vandalur-Kelambakkam road, this lake is surrounded by a small hill and lot of trees. Road that lead to this place is in good shape. So, it's good to come here by car too. Mornings are the best time to visit.

One of the best underrated and hidden location near Chennai. It’s a must visit for adventurers and explorers. Beautiful scenic views and the shady places under the trees give a beautiful and pleasant feel. No tickets or bookings required, it’s safe for girls and families. But car parking is not available as the road is very narrow and if someone travels in car they should park it in road only.

A local attraction for Chennaites. A soothing and silent place to get away from the noisy streets, to just have a peaceful napπŸ˜‚... Make sure not to litter

It makes a nice trip (you can spend a max of 3 to 4 hours hardly) with friends, just for the photoshoot this place is good, not for any other enjoyments. There is a small hill you can trek some half, here are some pictures, so you can have a look at it

A good place for family picnic. Very calm and serene. Not much shops near by, so get what you want. Please stay away from poluting this place and say no to plastics here. Cattle around here come for water so please keep this place clean

We took a drive from tambaram. The road was good. You can reach till the lake in car as the thar road is newly laid. When we went , we were the only people in Lake. There is a shiva temple near to the lake.

A scenic and calm location close to the city. Not many places to visit. There is a lake and a couple of very old Shiva temples. The drive to reach this place would be nice.
