I m writing this review after visiting this place for a couple of times. So trust me, when i say this place is too good to chill with friends, enjoying the sea breeze and also the food is awesome . There is also indoor seating in this place but I highly recommend you to sit facing the beach. The place is also crowded always so expect waiting to get a place . We ordered pizza and prawn and chicken starters . Service is bit slow but the rest is great .

It’s one of the overrated place .. the food quality and taste were way below average . The garlic bread cheese was bland without salt (mozzarella needs a hint of salt usually) and pepper chicken pieces was made from pre prepared flour coated Chinese chicken .. totally contradictory .. also the prawn Chettinad was nowhere close to South Indian cuisine , and expired prawn was used which made the food stink . Desserts were good luckily since the chef doesn’t have to prepare them and was outsourced . Also any restaurant should have the option of normal RO water and not force the client to buy bottled water . The ambience was cool and nice interior and the owner of that place has got some real good taste of interiors but the staffs were below average . Management should recruit some good staffs with good hospitality.

A good place to hangover with your friends. The food is more influenced by the western palate, quite understandable since most of footfalls here are foreigners. Place itself is awesome with the beach view from the balcony and the sound of waves crashing into eachother is soothing to hear and makes you feel relaxed. This place is dog friendly. If you are planning to come here do order your food before since they take lot of time to bring the food to your table. The staff's are friendly too.

The food and ambience were excellent. It's bliss and peaceful over here when you have drinks with good food and a view of the Samuthuram ( Sea ). All the dishes prices are over priced because of the location. The best time to visit would be around 4 to 5 pm since the sun would be down and it would be just great. You have to park your car some 100 meters away as the road gets narrow towards the restaurant. No specific parking for the restaurant, you have to park in the empty space available. Don't be fooled by the pictures. The place is below average and definitely not for a decent couple and family stay. The beach was dirty and the entrance to the place was through a slum area. There were no tables setup outside as shown in the pictures. We left the place as soon as we reached and saw the condition. Hopefully this review will make them better the place.

Poor service. Untidy rooms. Dirty toilets with free 🪳 , very dirty linen. No coffee shop, Morning tea After 11:40am 😣 Manager tone very rude and rough when asked. Had received bill for checkout late night at 11pm, as manager will come late in Morning. Overall not worth the money. Zero stars if possible.

The entry was very dirty and unhygienic. When we ordered kingfisher premium beer, they gave in a steel glass instead of the bottle, which is very fishy behaviour. The tawa calamari that we ordered was tasty but expensive as hell.

Amazing view from the cafe. It is just next to the beach really peaceful. Service is really wonderful and staff is really good. We ordered tandoori fish and tandoori prawns too. Fish was really fresh and nice. We enjoyed our meal as well as the view. Car parking is bit difficult. As the roads are bit smaller to reach. From one end you can see the shore temple too. It’s was worth going.

Good food and nice service. Good for groups or couples ,not a family spot. The restaurant is less than 1km walk from the parking spot. Advice women or girls not to go alone in the night. The way to the restaurant felt a little creepy. Other than that all is well. Thank you Kalos.

First off. Good Luck finding the place! Its almost hidden and you have to walk a good distance to find the place. There are signboards here and there so you should be fine. Dont go here expecting fancy ambience or air conditioning. There is neither. The staff are courteous and new. They are friendly and accommodating. We went on the weekend and it was super crowded. Best to visit during the night. Food was yummy and did not have a commercial vibe to it. It gave a clean and freshly prepared vibe. Do beware however that the food is a bit on the more expensive side. But I reckon, if you took the time to ride out your vehicle all the way from Chennai to find this pretty obscure but nice place, you wouldnt mind spending a pretty penny anyway. 😜 The Calzone Pizza was super good and soft. Prawns were super spicy and amazing!

Marketed as multiple cuisines available ! The maintenance and hygiene is very average! The dishes are below average! If you'd like to booze with some beach breeze it might attract you! But there are many other options available nearby at a low price with the same features!

Good for a small getto for boys. Wave sound lingering all the time. Nice non veg food but breakfast is not available as standard. Room AC, restroom facilities are good. TV entertainment not great.

What should I talk about Kalos there’s nothing to talk just go and enjoy the food that’s how tasty they make the food!! Great views with sea breeze. Awesome seafood. They serve super fresh catch. Highly recommend the fish and prawn dishes.

A cozy place with fantastic view to spend time with your loved ones. They offer a variety of sea foods which are fresh and delicious.You have to park your cars somewhere nearby as the lanes to reach this place is narrow. However, you can park your bikes in the adjacent streets of this restaurant.

The parking is about 100 metwrs away and the approach to this place is misleading as the restaurant overlooks the sea and provides a view to.die for. You can also see the famed Mahabalipuram Shore Temple from the restaurant. They serve fresh catch and it is delicious. The food served is very tasty. The service is scratchy. You would feel it if you are in a hurry. But if you are this is perhaps not the place you would visit. If you are in a mood to spend an afternoon or an evening soaking in the view of the sea and the temple (from afar) while enjoying good food and drinks, head over to Kalos!

Food was amazing! Kalamari rings were a hit with the kids. The pizza was amazing with its thin crust and yummy toppings. The tawa prawns were good and the spice levels were enjoyable! All of the yummy food plus the sound of the waves and the sight of the beach in the moon light makes this a foodie’s fantasy out of a fairy tale! Must go if you are in Chennai and need to try a great eat out.

Location is good and facing the sea. Food taste is a hit and a miss. Soup I ordered was below average but Tawa mushroom was pretty good in taste and prepared well. Wooden chairs and tables with sea view. Some menu items were not available which was a bummer. Music would have been great but it was missing! Service wasn't up to the mark - staff seemed a bit clueless and uninterested.

We had corn cheese pizza which was really good. Chicken wings and tawa calamari tasted really good too. Cheese garlic bread was stuffed with mushrooms which was average. Blueberry cheesecake was yummy. Chicken lollipop wasn't that good, I personally don't recommend. Otherwise the place and their service was nice.. But cars can't go near the restaurant cz its like a narrow street. We have to park it somewhere on the roadside and go by walk.

Worst experience we had here. Try to avoid if you planning to nice food and experience. The servers are the lazy peoples after ordering they ll not give your orders on time n keep on telling 2 minutes but it never comes. Sea food cost is too high not worth

Very quite and secluded place. Need to park upfront and walk inside village streets for 1 min. But, it's lighted and has people outside their houses. The View of the ocean was breathtaking. Reserve for tables near the Seaview side. Ideal for a peaceful dinner by oneself or a romantic couple's date or happy friends get together. Food was very tasty. Trained Pets are allowed. We ordered fish fingers, Butter garlic prawns, masala fries and Calzone pizza. Everything was tasty. The prawns are a must try feature. Super yummy.

Wonderful view.. very less number of seats.. a lot of varieties in the menu. We tried corn cheese pizza , fish finger, pasta, chicken fried rice and calamari fish.. Everything tasted good.. fish finger was very fresh and nice. We chose a fish and asked for a prep with traditional taste.. it lacked salt and was with heavy masala. Though we paid 1000 Rs for that one dish alone, we didn't like it.. Definitely worth a visit...

Pros; OMG what is this place ♥️ can't able to describe the view in words 🙂Must visit spot in Chennai . We have ordered Calamari , Tawa chicken, Buffalo wings 💯👌🏻all three dishes where epic ♥️ . There is no compromise for the money you pay 💯. Cons; Only issues I have faced they allow smoking and outside liquor. The cigarette smoke comes throughout all the tables except the first corner table ,so make your plan accordingly and book that table .

Best place to be, great ambience and fresh sea food. Lobster was cooked two way, the best I have had. It's a must try. They also have huge crabs and other exotic seafood options. Happy tummy ☺️

Wonderful place to stay at! Our room directly faced the beach and it was well-maintained and clean! They have wonderful staff and a manager who makes sure the guests are comfortable and safe. It is completely safe for women! The cafe above serves delicious food with quick service.

I really enjoyed my stay at Kalo's. Rooms were small, decent and good service was provided during our stay. It's kinda interior from the main roads as it's beach facing. It's better if you have a car or bike when you visit this place. If you want to sleep to the sounds of waves, wake up to the beach with affordable prices, this is the place for you. Do not expect too much. It's simple and neat if you go with the right group.

Located on the mahabs, one of the beach shacks where you can get a view of entire beach from your dining table. Brilliant view and simple setup. We just went there for food and not for stay. Though the entrance of this place and roads are not fancy, but the dining area is place to chill. Located near to shore temple, this place offers liquor and food. Coming to food, the price is on the higher side but no complaints on the taste and quality of the food. Beers are not served on bottle and even in the bill, they don't mention it as beer or liquor. Maybe because they don't have license to sell liquor. Liquors are double to charge. 150 inr beer is 300 inr which we felt is unfair. Have only one washbasin and one toilet. A good place to hangout on a weekday noon or evening because weekends will be full.

Firstly Not so Super Clean & Hygiene Place, and the restaurant charges literally double the rate for any item. And pricing for accommodation could be better,the Corridors and stairs lobby are to untidy. The pictures are good because of the camera and the lighting.

Best Service. Good place to spend time with friends for a drink and munch good food. Chesecake 5/5
