A lovely cafe that serves food mostly grown in their farm. Everything is so healthy and tasty. Mainly it comes with a beautiful view of the farm lands in the area. They also have a lovely store that sells their farm products.

Such a nice and natural ambience with awesome food. Go experience and you will never forget. Pls do book in advance. Loved their policy of not wasting food, no excess cooking. Way to go.

Uniquely designed Organic Food. Locally grown in their Farms. Well cut vegetables. Tried appetizers, entrees and desserts. Scrumptious. Healthy. Tried a few items as “Family get out” in a weekend. Would strongly recommend for folks who just want tasty, healthy food choices. Downside : They don’t have AC or sit-outs in a room. Might be hot during summer.

The place is beautiful, authentic and everything. But when it comes to the food part, it's mixed for us. We went there from Adyar (52kms) seeing all the reviews and was expecting a tasty, content food. First we had a mini Seasonal Veg Platter - liked the freshly yield vegetables, but the quantity is too less for what we paid. Next we had Mixed Veg Pizza - it was okay. Then we had Kimchi Fried Rice - it didn't work for us, the egg topped on it didn't go well with the seeraga Samba rice and it's too costly for that quantity. At last we had a Roselle cheese cake - man it was too candy flavour-ish and that's it. We paid like ₹1,200 for this.

Had a wonderful time at Idler's Farm. I'm very happy that they've been able to open back up again. Owners Anne and David have truly created something marvelous. It was fabulous to witness two people who are so passionate about cultivation, quality ingredients, sustainability, and supporting fellow humans to live out their full potential.

A real hidden gem. If you are in Mahabalipuram, you must eat here. The ravioli and pizza were amazing. They made a vegetarian starters platter which was so tasty and unique! And the kulfi was to die for. It’s a zero waste cafe and a real farm to table experience. Don’t miss this place

One of the best places to bring family for an out of the ordinary experience. It’s well placed a little far away from everywhere, but not so far that it’s difficult to get to. The host is an amazing person and the work being done to educate and inculcate the staff who run the show is nothing but commendable. The food is awesome, the seasonal salad platter is a must have. The different items on the platter are each so simple yet so differently full of flavour. Every dish is made then and there with locally sourced ingredients many from their own farm and the freshness shows in the lip smacking food flavours. Anyone looking for a simple meal with full of flavours, but different at that must try this place, and oh so for the ambience as well. 100% must visit place. I for will be coming back here for sure, time and again.

Quite a treasure in the outskirts of Mahabalipuram main road to Chengalpet. Humble staff serving pure farm fresh hand made food. The natural ambiance, healthy food choices and the serenity makes it more vibrant for commuters to pause and relish. A must visit if you are around the vicinity. Also a cool place for kids and family hangout. Please note they open at 8 am and wrap up around 4 pm. Mostly they serve for breakfast , brunch and lunch !

Went for a relaxing home cooked lunch and got something better ... fresh ingredients, innovative menu and the right proportions. Limited number of seats, so book before you go. The wooden seats are not so comfortable..

Feel away from the city for a while and enjoy the homegrown food. You can indulge in the typical agricultural environment. Peaceful and meaningful place.

A lovely cafe situated amongst some fields and in a beautiful location. We visited the cafe already few times with our riding group, and every time it has been wonderful service by Ann and her team of beautiful ladies who serve with a smile. The menu is very limited to their farm grown items and its absolutely beautiful they present their food. If you want some laid back time, to chill out with friends and look for not so crowded places, this is the place to be. I would personally suggest this place during monsoon as everything around you is so fresh and beautiful

"Your diet is a bank account. Good food choices are a good investment". Planning to visit Mahabalipuram plz do add the Idlers Farm as a must visit place for healthy food. Around 8.5 km from the Shore temple is Idlers Farm shop and Cafe, Straight from the farm, cooked with love and served with care. The vegetable platter is nothing less than a MasterChef creation. Don't forget the thali and the drinks, very refreshing. The surrounding is beautiful, calm and quiet and the fresh air to beat the heat. The food is light of the stomach to get you going to check the next touristy place but your mind may want you to hang on a little longer. Don't forget to get a reservation as the food is cooked fresh. Anne is a down to earth host and so is her staff.

The location and ambience is good. The place has a rustic charm and the menu looked interesting. But the service was extremely slow and the portion was very small for the price they are charging. I would go there for a cup of tea/slice of cake, but nothing more
