One of the most underrated outlets serving pure vegetarian fare should be The Plate, located on the ground floor, far end of Express Avenue Mall Chennai. Unassuming, clean and minimalistic and also sparsely staffed. The food was delish and neat. The ambience is so calm and hushed you could distinctly hear your clanks and chomps in tandem. They offer a cool menu of single course, one plate meal and what caught my attention was - bisibele with potato fry, curd rice with pickle and Thai green curry with flavoured rice. One yummy fare!!

Loved the ambience very much. December Christmas decorations are simply good. Went for late dinner, and the staff there answered politely. Had a tasty dinner. Very friendly staff. One entrance from Pattulaus Road and another from inside the mall. Wheel chair accessible entrance. Also there is a Wheel chair accessible restroom.

Absolutely finger licking, freshly prepared food. One Star deducted due to the long wait after ordering our food. But no complaints since the food was superb. Must try is their Paneer butter masala. Nothing much to say about the ambience but well maintained and clean. Friendly staff. Will definitely visit again.
