There are many temples like Veeranarayana temple, Trikuteshwara temple, Tontadarya math, Gavayi math (great legends like Pandit Panchakshari gavai and puttaraj gavayi resided here) to visit....You can also visit kappatagiri which is an awesome place to fill our hearts with the lush green nature... Lakkundi is another historical place located very near to gadag... Venkatapura temple of Lord Venkataramana, Beladadi temple of lord Rama, another extremely divine places also situated in Gadag district.... Gadag is extremely famous for Girmit and badnikai bhaji (brinjal pakoda), if u are in gadag, you must taste this.... Also Deepa idli vada available here is the best in the world.... Betageri poori chatni is also very tasty.... Uttara karnataka special jolada rotti palya and all are available in all the khanavalis... Also mirchi bhaji (chilli pakoda) will be the best in gadag..... There a zoo 🐘🐼🐯 and Salumarada timmakka garden at binkadakatti, which is also a good place to visit

Good place for hiking

Gadag is the best of all places I've seen. It has the most silent areas. It has the least air polution. You'll find trees taller than building unlike big cities. Traffic is very less. The cost of living is reasonable. You get many north Karnataka food restaurants in almost every area. You'll find people who are very kind and talk kindly. Coming to a few problems, I could not find internet broadband provides in all the area(Hoping Airtel Xtreme and jio fibre to expand soon). Few of the roads are in bad condition. The road below railway bridge (near hockey ground) isn't repaired from years.

Gadag was nice city in uttar karnatak and it was famous for books printing soo that was also known as mudrana kashi of Golden karnatak but one disappointment is that 70 percentage of roads were not good in gadag what ever I really hate to ride bike and traveling in city buses of gadag because of bad roads thier is mata of thontadarya mta and puutaraj gavayigalu famous musician and singer of olden days I like to visit gadag

Gadag district is famous for mirchi and bajji. You get mouth watering snacks and chats in mulgund naka road. Must visit basweshwara moorty. You can go boating there. In summer it reaches 39 degree. For hikers must visit kappata gudda which is a heaven in earth. Its house for many medical plants.
