VA Tallahassee Outpatient Clinic

Medical clinic Veterans hospital

😠 I went to my Primary Care appointment, and everything's good with my blood test. I just think my VA should be doing more to check my health. Maybe I should go to a local doctor, or try to find other alternatives. I seriously doubt the VA cares much about it's vets. People often mention care, staff,

There aren't enough services available. Referrals to Gainesville or community care take months. There isn't enough medical staff to support the community. The VA is relying too much on nurses and phone consults. It's like pulling teeth to get anyone to read your medical records. The gaslighting is real simply because they don't have the services and are trying to stall. Overall poor service.

This VA facility can't help you with any serious medical problems. They will send you to Lake City or Gainesville. They are only good for blood work. It should be shut down and let veterans go to urgent care or hospital.

Beautiful building terrible care. The psychiatrists here are awful. There’s zero continuity of care and there’s barely any doctors available for consistent appointments. I wish o could give this place zero stars.

This is the worst VA clinic ever. My doctor discriminates and refuse to give me proper medicine and treatment and I wonder is it because I am black. Three months and no male harmones.

I lost one of my hearing aids while traveling. I called the audiology department and was connected to a very friendly service rep. She took my information and told me she'd place an order for a replacement, and said it would take a few weeks. In about 3 weeks I received a call that the replacement aids arrived, and I was scheduled for a fitting. The staff were very friendly and professional, including the woman in a different department who assisted me with getting to the right area within the building. The audiology staff were prepared for me. In fact, the wait time was so short I couldn't start a new game on my phone! They had all the materials ready to go, and and I was on my way in about 45 minutes. Very pleasant and professional staff who know what they're doing!

If you need mental health care for ongoing conditions, the lack of permanent on-site professionals in this area has been a huge problem in the last few years. For people who need this kind of care it's important to have doctors who see them regularly and who are well-acquainted with their treatment history and needs. This facility has not been able to provide this lately.

I have been a patient at the VA OPC since around 1992. Everyone there has provided outstanding medical care, and are very pleasant to deal with. They truly care about my health and well-being. Wish I could rate more stars.

Best health care facility I have dealt with. The lady at the door who went out of her way to help find my 214 after she overheard my dilemma; the pleasant, competently staffed lab; and Dr. Saunders and his awesome staff spoke to me like family, thoroughly explaining everything. Everyone I've encountered- even security and ground's keeping - seem to take pride in quality care.

This VA branch in Tallahassee fl is great!! Full of people that are caring and my Doctors are the best.I don't know what that 2 star post was or came from!! Dr Kaun keeps me updated on my health and I could not ask for a better Doctor or primary Team!! Dr Widerman keeps my eyes 20/20 and really cares about my eye pressures.

Unless you're elderly and look like you're actively dying the staff do not take any pain or injury seriously. I wish I could see a Dr. that cared that I'm in constant pain.

Day 1.Walked in, needed to transfer care, VA worker gives me a form, tells me to wait 30 minutes until they come back from lunch. At least 3 other people walk by me and don't care to ask if I need help. Day 1 impressions not so good.

Staff were polite and helpful. Received proper care. Always things to improve anywhere, but all my visits have and hopefully will continue to be good. I thank all those that I have come in contact with for there services.

I don’t like giving negative reviews but feel duty bound in this particular area of my life that I wish was a bit more up to speed . It’s at least a 30 minute wait every time I have ever gone to this VA pharmacy clinic in Tallahassee . Have filed complaints with the patient advocates and gotten results that same day , but here I’m again racked again with infection in my body waiting over 45 minutes and still no results at the Tallahassee VA pharmacy.

I just moved here from Detroit, I only give a 3 star for now , until I've been seen a few more times. It will be a challenge to see if it compares to the Ann Arbor VA or Detroit ,I went to both. So far I'm satisfied, no complaints. Very friendly staff and helpfull. I will be giving another rating in the future. Until then. ROGER OUT !

Always don't have a long wait. They go above and beyond to help you.

This VA clinic lacks effective Continuum of care and patient centered care is not focused. The Lab, Optometry, Physical therapy and Radiology departments function exceptionally well. However, other areas such as the CAU, Pharmacy and especially the negative attitudes and unwillingness of the employees to provide effective assistance to veterans must be addressed. I had to transfer my care from this clinic to the Lake City VAMC, because my medical needs were neglected! Since transferring care, I’ve received superior care from the Lake City VAMC in conjunction with UF Shands.

Absolutely the worst VA I’ve been to. The primary care physicians are garbage and so are the veterans advocates. Tried to switch PC and was told I’d receive a packet next day….3 weeks later and still haven’t received anything. Call the VA and they don’t have records of the request….

As of March 14, 2022, the VA Critical Assessment Unit is open on Saturday 10-2. I received excellent care from the Saturday staff and I'm glad they were open. The website programmers need to change the time as it still shows closed on Saturdays as of April 2nd, 2022.
