Dr. Joey has been the most unexpected gift in my family’s life this year. He gives new meaning to family medicine. He is knowledgeable and compassionate, and just a really good human being who cares about his patients and what’s best for them. He takes the time to listen and understand, offering a variety of treatment options, which I really appreciate. So much of medical care now makes you feel like cattle, being pushed along for the next patient or offered a cookie cutter treatment plan. Never once have we felt that way under Dr. Joey’s care, no matter the concern or need. I read a lot of reviews before our first visit and could tell his practice was different. A mix of all the best things. He’s exceeded every hope I had for a family doctor and I’m so glad he’s in our corner.

First met Dr.Joey through sesame care a few years ago, really nice guy as well as a very knowledgeable physician, he really takes the time to listen, unfortunately for me he no longer is practicing telehealth in my state, hopefully he will again soon. Physicians like him are few and far between

I had been looking for a doctor with whom I could feel comfortable talking about both physical problems and mental/emotional issues after experiencing how closely they interact with each other. Also a doctor who could discuss the challenges of aging. As soon as I saw Dr. Nichols’ website where he writes about helping people work from their center, I thought maybe he was the right doctor for me and once I spoke to him in an introductory phone call I was ready to go ahead with setting up an appointment. Dr. Nichols makes time to talk, I never felt rushed, I felt heard, and that Dr. Nichols could see me as a whole person, not just a patient with a list of symptoms. He helped me understand my test results, affirmed decisions I’d made about treatments and also suggested other medications that could be helpful. He was warm and caring and I look forward to working with him again.

I just moved to the DC area and I was searching for a doctor to transfer my treatment plan. The first doctor that came up was Dr. Nichols, and I made the call. He immediately answered and talked to me about setting an appointment online for the next day. He was very easy to talk to and explained to me what are the next steps to transfer my treatment. It takes me a long time to trust a new doctor, but Dr. Nichols just has this great way of communicating that makes you feel very comfortable. Did I mention that his office is nothing like a dull doctor offices. He actually has a comfortable room with very nice pictures everywhere! This was my first meeting with Dr. Nichols and it certainly won't be the last. He is very attentive and will try to get to the root problem and work with you in whatever way that makes you feel comfortable. Great doctor and great atmosphere, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We found Dr Joey to be very warm and approachable. After asking thoughtful questions and listening carefully to my son’s history, Dr Joey took time to explain what the treatment was about, how it would work, and what to expect. I appreciated his holistic approach.
