I've only called on Dars once, but it was a really good experience. The technician was smart, friendly and very knowledgeable. Watching him make the diagnosis and repair made me glad I hadn't tried to do the job myself - if I had, my dishwasher would still be lying disassembled! I will call them again without hesitation.

Great experience. Tech called 10 minutes before he arrived, diagnosed the problem with my oven quickly, quoted me a fair price, and when we agreed on doing the work he was able to complete everything in about 30 minutes. He was polite and cleaned up the area he worked in after. I’d happily recommend to my friends and family.

Skilled and honest. Diagnosed problem and recommended we contact the manufacturer as opposed to paying him to repair, because the technician believed the part was under the original manufacturers warranty. The refrigerator was nearly 10 years old, and he was right, saving us the expense of replacing the compressor. Well worth the $69 diagnostic fee.

Our old, but high priced dishwasher had a couple of problems and we were trying to repair instead of replacing. Dars appliance repair was amazing! The technician diagnosed and fixed the problem at a reasonable price, helped us with additional questions we had on our “old appliance” so that we could use the dishwasher’s full functionality, and surprised us with his vast knowledge. I have no idea why this business has 4.8 stars. Extremely expensive. We paid $423 to have our fridge fixed. We could’ve almost bought a new fridge for that amount. They charged $194 for a part selling on Amazon for $50 (as looked up by a member of the household). That’s a 288% mark-up. Oh Dars ‘graciously’ waived the labor. Further, they delayed one appointment, which inconvenienced everyone because we made arrangements out of our schedules to be available at the time we booked. And then the technician was supposed to return on Monday, but he didn’t have the part yet, so they pushed it a day. When the technician arrived on Wednesday, he was rushed and unfriendly, but I don’t blame him; usually management overbooks jobs to squeeze in extra revenue, at the expense of the technician. Also, any business that asks for a review (before the job is even finished, mind you) is—well, here’s your review.

They came and looked at our fridge which he stopped cooling. Fortunately our tech from DARS was very knowledgeable. He recognized that the fridge issue was something that was under an extended warranty due to a class action law suit against LG. So instead of recommending and charging us for a job they could have done and made money on, they told us to call the company to get it done under warrant. We only paid the diagnostic which was reasonable! We will use them again.

A technician indeed was a high profile professional, with minimum time spent on troubleshooting. He honestly offered 2 options for my fridge, which did not hold temperature: either to replace old Freon and likely extend its life for some years OR trash it and buy new one. So a repair was chosen. We had been having trouble with our washing machine. The sensor light kept indicating that the washer was not draining, yet it was. We had had two repair people come out to look at it, but within a week, the same issue would start again. Dars came out, took a look, ran some tests, and we have had no trouble since. We used them again when our refrigerator went on the fritz. They replaced one of the computer boards, and we were up and running again! Very knowledgeable and versatile staff!

My washer’s intake valves leaked and because the washer and dryer were stacked in a small closet space, I had to call quite a few places before Dars agreed to service it. Everything worked out fine and the price was reasonable. Would definitely use them again if needed!

Okay so I was very skeptical because I had never used an appliance repair company before. However we did not have the budget to go out and buy a new dishwasher so I figured let's give them a try and see what happens. I'm pleased to say that the whole experience from beginning to end was great. The person that I talked to on the phone was very courteous and handled the appointment well, the technician arrived on time and you were to look for and diagnose the problem correctly, and the repair was performed correctly the first time. I ended up spending a third of what I would have spent if I had gone out and bought a new. I know for a fact that if I ever need an appliance repair in the future I will be calling Dars Appliance Repair. I highly recommend them to anyone that needs an appliance that needs to be repaired.

*Update: The technician called me to reschedule and fixed the problem, the service was very good when they got here. I was stood up 3 times in a row, the first because I didn't text back immediately when they texted to say they were on their way, to an appointment I had scheduled in advance (I was there waiting), the 2nd time because they mixed me up with someone else, and the 3rd time, no reason given, they just didn't show up. Wasted much of my day.

I was pleased with their work. We have an older washer that had been discontinued and it did take a bit longer to find the part to correct the issue, but they found it and came out to complete the repair. Their prices seem reasonable - they charge a modest service call fee to diagnose but then that figure is deducted from the total bill if you use them for the fix. I'd use them again for another appliance repair.

My 15-year-old fridge recently stopped working. Having resolved myself with the possibility of buying a new one, I nevertheless called to have a repairman look at it. Dars appliance repair responded to my request quickly and Yousef was able to get it repaired same day for a very fair price. Moreover, he was able to recommend a way I could inexpensively further extend the life of my fridge, an appliance I was getting ready to replace for far more money just hours before. My Response to Dar appliances.-- I'm not going to call you because I'm positive this is the correct business. I'm located in Maryland this is the same business profile that I got your information from when I made the original appointment. This happened last year, check your records. I stand firm in my review I'm positive this is the same company. ---Aug 8th 2022---- DAR appliance came to fix my oven, they did partially fix the probem but created another. Long story short after going back amd forth with them over the phone they sent the "manager" (one of there employees told me that it was not a manager just another employee) to see what the issue was. He talked over me the entire time he was there. I tried to be respectful but he was so rude, it ended up in a yelling match in my home. After he left I was so disgusted over the entire ordeal but hopeful the problem had been fixed and I would never have to see them again. Unfortunately the oven problem continued. when I called back they said I need a new motherboard (the 2nd gentleman pulled it out for no reason). I called a REAL repair company who came and fixed it in 1 shot for under $150, I spent over $375 for Dar appliances to make the issue worse, be rude and disrespectful AND YELL AT ME IN MY HOME! They have no respect for women and horrible customer service and are not very knowledgeable since they never fix the problem, just made things worse. Save your money and find a real repair company.

Absolute worst customer service I have ever received. Came in at 11am as the “first customer” of the day. “Fixed” the agitator problem on my washer and showed me it was working. Upon washing a load of laundry at 2pm and watching it, it indeed did not agitate. I called them back and tried to get them to come back out and they said “they have other jobs today and can’t make it out but can come back out Monday.” After about a hour of arguing that it is bad business because this job isn’t done they still refused to try to get anyone out today. When I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, I was told I can not and that they aren’t available and I can’t talk to them. I asked for a refund then and they refused stating “the diagnostic fee is non refundable.” Yet the job isn’t done and you’re not sending anyone else out here to fix because of “other jobs.” I had some choice word which I shouldn’t have but still hot able horrible business practice and ethic. Will never use again
