Perfect restaurant in every sense. Great location. Good food. Amazing service. It’s located in a period building with amazing interiors. The views from inside the restaurant are great from anywhere. The price is reasonable for the food and venue. It’s a great place for a nice relaxed evening dinner with friends or family. Also perfect for a date night ;)

Alex Restaurant is a very good restaurant in Galati. The food is very tasty and well prepared, the drinks selection is generous, and the service efficient and very helpful. Large and nice terrace with wide tables and comfortable armchairs offer excellent comfort. There is enough space between tables, so you'll get not too intimate with the neighbours; highly apreciate this! Bonus - you get a nice view over Danube. At least in weekend the place seems to be pretty crowded, so a reservation would be a good idea in order to secure your table and enjoy a pleasant lunch/dinner. Music was a little bit too loud - but I guess that's typical for a restaurant in Romania...

The restaurant has a great view over the Danube and it relaxing on a sunny day especially. The menu is very diversified and while through the butchery background that is their main strong point, they have also fish, pasta, pizza. We waited 10 mins to get the order taken, too much. The wait for food was around 50 minutes, which was aggravated by the fact that the Open terrace was not heated in our area by heaters, they had only a few. The food was fantastic : burger and particularly the lamb tagine with 4 cutlets and its tasty grains. Portions very large a d prices aligned to quality and quantity.

Very great and delicious red tuna fish with black rice, wasabi, spicy sweet and soy sauce. Together with a good glass white wine. For dessert a Dolce Alex with a good espresso.

Location above expectations: great looking, great food and drinks quality. I've passed through Galati and took lunch there on a Fridayafternoon and it looked overwhelmed but staff and managed the situation and food has arrived fast.

Some of the best ciorbă and meats around Galați, not to mention the view. Highly recommend giving them a try!

Cannot say enough good things about it. The view from the patio is GORGEOUS! The food is incredibly good and the staff very attentive and very professional. You have to try their house dessert

What a great place for a dinner with family. I have eat one of the best steak. Serving was generous and staff was absolutely nice.

We had a great meal here, "Platoul Macelarului" is one of the best grill I've ever tasted (17 € for 2 people is fair). The location is beautiful, good light, friendly staff and superb view over Danube. A bit pricy but it's worth the money, I can recommend this place because is half-way home from seaside to Iasi.

Cannot recommend this place enough. The bartender even made sure I got to my bus on time! Amazing food and drinks and cheap in comparison.

Wonderfull atmosphere, polite staff, clean and meticulously decorated. The food selection was impressive, and so was the drinks menu. Everything looked picture perfect. The taste, however was not quite at the same level, it was good enough don't get me wrong, but I definitely expected more.

I came here because of a Birthday dinner, last Saturday night. The location is beautiful, eating on the terrace with view on the river is really enjoyable. Service is good and fast. I had some Lemonade and Rice with Shrimps. Unfortunately, the rice was not really tasty as I was expecting. Probably I will come here again to try other dishes, because the location is really nice!

One waiteress from the restaurant was absolutly rude as she did not want to show us the menu unless we sat down. We told her that we just needed to see if there is some interesting for a vegeterian but she rolled her eyes. We were out of there as soon as possible and found a much friendlier pizza place around the corner.

The food was quite nice, however I did find a bit of plastic in my dish. Probably from a sausage. The wait to even get a menu was awful, probably because I was sitting by myself so I was not a priority customer. Very hectic place but the view of the river was amazing.

Prices like in UK, and staff house rude. My last experience. I have booked a table to celebrate my wife birthday and when i come in they didn't know/ they forgot to book our table it was so embarrassing, i was with our baby and they advised us to go on terrace but it was smokking area. Food was tasy no complain for the chef but the way is the service from the front of house is letting the kitchen down.

The worst experience ever I came here 15 years ago was wow, best service best food... 15 years later nobody to greet you at the door we go seat down nobody on site for like 10 min, then there she come with an attitude that the table is reserved and we have to leave even do the reservation was 1 h later, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TRY TO AVOID THIS PLACE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE

Overall, it was a good experience, but I did find the grilled meat overcooked, and the service was slow. I hope for a better experience next time.
