The food is terrible and it totalyruins the experience at Nic Nic. The service is extremely slow and certainly can be improved. The location is good and the restaurant interior is fairly nice and decently clean, but all is put in a shadow by thebadfood and slugish service. The prices are quite high, considering what is being offered. Avoid and go to other place in the same area.

Great food, great service, amazing view of the Danube river. I had dinner on the terrace. I ordered the Mittitei with Mamaliguta (corn meal boiled in water) and the Grilled fish.

Overall, poor. While the food wasn't bad, it wasn't good either. Not only did it about an hour to get it, it was far from a complicated dish. For a couple portions of frozen fries along with grilled cheese that is unacceptable. Moreover, one portion arrived before the other, with the waiter saying they do not have enough cheese for a second portion and that it would be smaller or we would have to let it go. Having chosen the smaller portion, it arrived after another short delay, except the cheese was regular size however with different fries. Add to that the fact that the drinks took half an hour to show up and you can get the image. Can't complain about the waiter as bar and kitchen seem to carry most blame, but if it weren't for the location itself and view I would go down to one star.

Their 'fresh' pizza tastes like frozen Doctor Oetker pizza. French fries are also frozen.

Nic Nic restaurant in Galati We ordered 2 portions of chicken snitzel and fries. Dry snitzel, tasteless fries. Simple dish yet the chef not up to scratch. My son had to ask for ketchup as everything was just so dry. Nice location and decor but the food tasteless. I have 3 stars because of location and the waiters who were better than in other places. I cannot understand why restaurants in Romania are not able to do a simple dish like chicken snitzel or grilled chicken moist and easy to chew. I can do both so much better and I am not a chef in a restaurant. Pity. The owner should be more interested on how the good us cooked and perhaps train the chef better

Prices are ok, food is ok, what is not ok is the waiting time. Between 15 and 20 min to get a waiter's attention and between 30 and 45 min to get the food. Dirty tables everywhere, nobody is cleaning the tables and we saw a lot of people doing exactly what we did : getting beer directly from the bar. Considering the top position on the shore of the Danube a little investment in more qualified personnel would be nice

Lovely Location but food was not nice at all. Probably only drink and chill place.

the food was ok, the wait time was pretty long and the toppings on the pizza just fell off the slice and the bread was very oily, other than that the service was decent, the drinks were good.

Visited the restaurant three times. The first time the food was lacking in taste as needed more salt and condiments. Food presentation needed improving. The second time we visited the service was good and food appeared more presentable. The third time the entire food order was wrong and the restaurant could not accommodate tomato ketchup for the children with the reason of the kitchen being closed. Very small menu option. Overall low average experience.
