Recommend a stay there for everyone who would love to listen to stories of people around the world doing some fascinating things. If you stay long you will definitely end up going to a party or two to some of the very good cafes around. Most comfortable and chilled out stay place.

A homey, peaceful nicest hostel in Unawatuna. I've been there for 5 nights, having an amazing experience with Judith and the family, learned to cook local food- hoppers! And much more, in the funniest cooking class (in a very nice price)! And just had such a pleasant time there. Definitely come back one day. And you have the most beautiful sunset spot 5 minutes walk. And the beach !

From the moment you arrive, Judith, the owner, will try to make you feel at home. She likes to socialize and organize events. We had for example a BBQ night and hummus night. It was so good! She really knows how to cook. Also the free breakfast in the morning is amazing (bread and eggs). There's a relaxed atmosphere and it's easy to make friends here. Bathroom is clean and can be cleaned more often if you prefer, they're very helpful. Beds are comfy and have musquito nets. Easy less than 5 min walk to the Unawatuna beach. OH yeah and there's their 2 yo son running around that is absolutely adorable! I just kept extending my stay I would definitely come back to this place!

Absolute highlight of my Sri Lanka trip. Judith, Isuru and Leor (their adorable child) make sure you feel at home the moment you set foot in the door. Super friendly, helpful and just happy and lovely people to have around. They organize day trips (surfing), cook the best Sri Lankan diner, chat with every guest and make morning coffee (Italian!). But at the same time they let you be if you wanna chill. Highly recommended!! You can check-out any time, but you can never really leave.

I fell in love with this amazing hostel. I stayed at singha lounge on two occasions. First i was there for three nights before i left for another hotel. But after a few days i missed singha lounge so much that i came back! The family that runs the hostel is very welcoming and makes you feel like you are home. Isuru always has a smile on his face and likes to take the guests surfing or just to chill. Judit is the greatest host you will ever meet and makes you feel included. Shes also a great cook and offers cooking classes for sri lankan cousine. The hostel is located at the best spot in unawatuna, its a quite area close to the beach. There are restaurants and stores close by. I highly recommend this hostel for solo travelers or a group of friends!

The best hostel in all Sri Lanka. The owners take care of you as your family. The time spend there was so worth it, beyond expectations. I can only highly recommend staying there. You will come back there as soon as possible. Sending love to those kind souls.

It's a great place to stay. I wish, I'd have had more time at this amazing hostel! The host are so lovely, helpful and open and I felt home from the first minute! You can do a lot of things in the hostel (e.g.cooking class) and the surrounding! The hosts do their best to make you a pleasant stay and they were for sure successful :-) I also recommande the house made food - it is amazing!!

With my wife, we really enjoy staying in that lovely place. An owner is a great person - you will feel like at home. Hotel is located in a calm area, not so far from the beach. Rooms are cozy, clean and spacious. Breakfast is delicious ;)

Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. The owners have created a family atmosphere and the second time I returned after being around Sri Lanka it truly felt like coming home again. Really chill out place with a great location.

Easy going hosts who make you feel instantly welcomed! Comfortable beds in a budget friendly dorm. If you're in unawatuna, you should definitely spend a night (which will inevitably turn into 4)

I had the best time staying here with Judith, Isuru, Leo & Levi! They immediately make you feel at home and part of the family. They went out of their way to make sure you have a great stay with loads of great recommendations, family dinner and wonderful conversation. I booked for one night but extended and didn’t want to leave. A must visit for solo travelers or groups wanting to meet wonderful people.

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Extended my stay there twice because it’s just a lovely place, the bed is big and comfy, the room just big enough and super clean (you can get it cleaned whenever you want) and the shared kitchen is also super practically. πŸ‘ Great service, good place. Cheap as well. Breakfast was large enough. Value for money. But it would have been a bit more cleaner, specially the bath rooms. Given it is about 16$ a night, with no aircon, cleanliness would have made this place great. But hey its good for back packing as well.
