A very lovely place to get coffee or food. We came twice and tried the brownie with ice cream (it was succulent) ! The second time we got lunch and ordered two of their bowls, they were both incredible. I would in a heartbeat if I could !

Perfect for breakfast or a light brunch. Also, there is a variety of juices and cocktails. The ambience and interior of the places are unique as well. However, I won't have dinner here; it would be great if some dinner options were added

This is such a nice chilled cafe with great food and really lovely staff! I’ve been here a lot working on my laptop and it’s always such a nice vibe. Clean toilets and great location too! More recently I had a problem outside the venue and the workers couldn’t do enough to help me. Perfect place if you’re looking for a chilled nomad vibe and great food!

great atmosphere, clean, spacious place with good music. Smiling staff. We ordered food and a fruit cocktail, off the menu. Everything was delicious, and those sweet potato fries = heaven. I thought I was already in heaven and nothing could make me feel better... and the waiter came, smiled and asked if we wanted dessert? we asked for ice cream, although there was no such item in the menu= no problem, and they have French press coffee, delicious. Due to the baby who travels with us, we always look for places that are friendly for her. low sofas, simply on the floor, it's full of comfort. Bravo for a job well done. You want to live when you visit such places.

The place has a very cool and relaxed vibe. It was also the only restaurant in the area which was full of people which shows it is popular. They have 4 items on the menu which were vegetarian and all were very good. Would definitely recommend it. The service was great as well.

The highlight of our stay in Sri Lanka! Myself and my boyfriend loved this cafe during our stay in Unawatuna. It has a really relaxed atmosphere with wonderful coffee and drinks, along with excellent sharing plates and also main courses. We spent hours here on rainy days reading our books and relaxing, and the hours passed quickly! The staff are extremely friendly and laid back. Everywhere we went after Unawatuna we were always looking for somewhere similar to Koha Cafe, but no where lived up to it! It is a must stop for your trip to Unawatuna.

Great atmosphere, great food and service. After a week of struggle with food in other local places we found this gem. Tasty food finally prepared with a quality oil and fresh ingredients. My wife doesn’t like palm oil and she would give 4* for that, but I’m lenient. We had beef burger, humus and falafels, humus platter and tuna steaks. For desert a tai mango sticky rice.

Our group of about 10 people liked this place so much while we were visiting the area that we came back 2-3x within 2 weeks. Everything on the menu was super delicious, the staff were always friendly and attentive to our requests and the whole vibe & atmosphere of the place was so warm and welcoming. We also all found the prices to be very reasonable priced for the value that we were getting. I’m still thinking about the amazing vegan burger I had there and next time I’m there I’ll 100% go there to dine.

<cash only as most places here> This place has a nice vibe, good food and friendly staff. We had grilled prawns and lemon batter prawns with mango salad - both tasted very good. The peanut butter cup is really just a small cup, but rather dense and sweet, while the coconut mango is just like in Thailand. The spiced ice tea was also really nice, while the french press coffee was OK as well. I really liked how everyone nicely treated the dog - it tells a lot.

One of the nicest restaurants we’ve been to in Sri Lanka. The food was fresh and very tasty. I ordered the prawn veggie bawl (Koha Passion) because I wasn’t that hungry and the portion was very big so I ended up having half for breakfast also 😅 I also got some extra soy sauce which went together with the sweetness of the bowl. It’s the kind of salad that has soo much contents (avocado, mango, passion fruit, prawns) that you end up needing more salad to make up for all the flavour. They really don’t hold back on the ingredients! My boyfriend got a tuna steak which was grilled medium to his liking. The staff was very attentive even though they had a restaurant full of people and they made sure that we were moved to a table with a better view of the World Cup match 😁 The prices are very reasonable for such a hip place with Western fusion options, big portions and great ingredients.

Wow!! Fantastic place in all aspects! Great, tasty food with good portions, friendly staff, good music. We had the tuna filet and veggie burger; highly recommended. Prices are reasonable for what they offer, no doubt. Very fair! Oh and the place has a great vibe!

Claire and me had a really nice dinner here at Koha! Staff was very friendly, drinks were good, food was good, dessert (peanut butter cups) were incredibly indulgent 🤩 the vibe is a bit more bar-like with the music being a bit louder (a little bit too loud for my liking) but all in all have to give 5 stars.

Very good food and relaxed atmosphere with nice and chilling music in the background. When the restaurant gets packed in the evenings it could be difficult to grab a spot but it’s worth the wait. Negative points: smoking is allowed, waiting times for the food can be a bit too long and inside it is really warm so get a seat with some access to outside air.

It's the best restaurant ever in the Unawatuna! Decided to get lunch there with tuna and prawns. Tuna (medium grilled) was so delicious and the salad with mango and cucumber really matched with it. Also we ordered cocktails: one with banana and nuts and other one with mango - tasty 👌 Deserts are really small but so yummy 😋 "Peanut butter cup" must to try! Thank u for so beautiful place! Level of eatings and service really better than in other places❤️

A beautiful cafe with delicious food and beautiful presentation. I ate fried tuna here, it is served with small young potatoes and a salad of mango and cucumbers. the staff are friendly and welcoming. Surfers-style cafe.

they go above and beyond to meet your dietary needs and make you feel at home. You can sit there for hours and won’t get tired of the lovely vibe. Especially great in the evenings as there are pretty chill out areas

If you are looking for a stylish, modern restaurant with good food and tasty drinks, you have to go to Koha. Good food and short waiting times. You can sit totally comfy and it feels like in your own living room with great atmosphere and relaxed music in the background. In my opinion definetely the best cafe / restaurant all over Unawatuna. Will come back for sure!

when I first entered here, it was a pleasant feeling, a perfect mix between a calm tropical atmosphere and a sparkling feeling of life. I’m very critical when it’s about gastronomy and I thought that if the food is good this will be my favorite place. I wasn’t disappointed, fantastic food, quality, fresh ingredients, great, friendly service. TOP place, I like to come back again and again

Food was good (not the best). Staff was friendly. Atmosphere was fantastic. Now.. the prices are way above the value, there is also a surcharge for paying with card. It was a good experience but would not repeat again, there are many options around cheaper and better quality food.

The place is comfy and cozy, there are seats on the sofas with pillows or regular tables. I would discribe it as a hipster style cafe. The staff is friendly. Tuna wrap was tasty.
