My visit here was so incredibly pleasant! They have many vegan options which is a very nice touch. After 3 months of being in Sri Lanka, I was able to enjoy my first cappuccino here. ☕️ The owner explained to me they have a proper coffee machine, they use vegan hot chocolate etc. Sri Lanka is typically known for its tea, not coffee so it’s more rare to find a well poured coffee :) 🙏 The interior is very nice and calming, they have a massive board to write a message, I was the first Welsh person to visit! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 The owner and her family is what makes the place so special, truly so kind and caring. The biggest smiles and warmest personalities, they have owned the place for 7 years and really go out their way to make the customer happy. I sat to enjoy my coffee while on my laptop, I didn’t see a power outlet during my stay. If you’re visiting galle fort, please stop here, say hello and enjoy the warm hospitality and coffee. As far as I remember my taste, it's the best ice cream I ever ate. We randomly went to this place searching for a career and we went out after 1h and 4 icecreams. The owner says she is using only natural stuff and no sugar! In addition she is a very kind hearted woman who's always full of smiles and joy. Maybe because she's such a sweet woman she doesn't need to use any additional sweeteners. 😀

The place is really cool! It was recommended by our friends and we didn’t regret to go there. The ice cream was delicious and a bit fat because it was made of coconut milk. But we liked it a lot)) Definitely recommend to take a coconut ice cream and mixed berries. A Lady-owner and her son are so welcoming and friendly, they speak English very good and can advise you whatever you want. We also tried Sri-Lanka coffee with ginger, it was refreshing and very aromatic.

Try their coconut flavour which is a hit but my favourite was the cinnamon one! Me and my friends were roaming around Galle Fort and came across this cute little ice-cream shop. It was the best vegan ice-cream I have ever tasted. We all took dark chocolate ice-creams and there were chocolate pieces to bring extra joy. The portion was really good and was worth every bit of money we spent. While I was walking in Church Street in Galle, I came across with this cute little shop and was greeted by the most lovely woman in Galle, Hirza. 😍 She is very friendly, we chatted for about 5 minutes, the next day, before going back to Colombo, after my lunch, even if it’s raining, I had to make sure to come back to her shop, it’s a very lovely home with an area for her guests. 🏠 Her homemade ice cream is amazing and I had to try Masala Chai. ☕️ I’m surely going to visit her again if I’ll be back in Galle, thanks for the hospitality Madame Hirza. 🩷🩷🩷

A very warm and welcoming place for homemade ice-cream. I had three helpings of it. The soursop ice-cream is exotic and highly recommended. You can lounge about in the sofa, sit outside or take one of the whimsical unicycle seats. I will definitely come back to Galle and this lovely joint.

Absolutely love this little gem to have ice cream in Galle.. we arrived almost 22pm but the owner was so happy to have us, and shown in the picture is a passion fruit branch with leaves to share its nutritional benefits! We ordered coconut and passion fruit, each had perfect amount of flavors and not too sweet! Would tiredly come back to Sri Lanka for just this ~ She loves what she does and it shows in her personality and the ice cream, my husband has never enjoyed vegan ice cream until our visit here!! Simply amazing. We had the coconut ice cream and iced coffee (both medium and strong) and everything was superb. The ice cream is made by the owners (really friendly) from fresh ingredients and I never had better. Would come back any time.

To be honest, I was expecting ordinary ice cream but it was actually DELICIOUS and very reasonably priced. The Ceylon milk tea I had there is the best I’ve sampled so far. The lady working there clearly cares about her shop— she is diligent, running around to make sure items get delivered to her clients promptly. She also offered toys to small kids and afforded the kindest help. This is my second time in Galle and I will surely come back to this place if I return to Galle.

The hostess is incredibly kind and hospitable, and the atmosphere inside (along with the ceiling fans) provided a relaxing and welcome respite from the heat outdoors. And the ice cream itself.... i was honestly at a loss for words when i took the first bite. My friend and i both got the coconut ice cream (each was 300 LKR / about 1.60 USD), and it was *so* creamy, *so* delicious, and *so* refreshing — we immediately started talking about getting seconds 😂 We’ll probably come back by here later in the day to try their cinnamon ice cream, and if you ever find yourself in the Galle fort area (especially on a hot, sunny day), you owe it to yourself to visit Cafe 82 and try their amazing ice cream 😊🍦
