Beautiful beach, peaceful lagoon protected by a reef with turtles and thousands of fish all in fairly shallow water, for those who don't like not being able to touch the floor. The water is crystal and perfect. Spectacular sunsets! And fantastic food! Great and friendly service. And parking outside for cars and scooters. The only downside are some of the tourists overcrowding and invading the turtles personal space. Can have amazing sightings when people keep back and allow nature to do its thing.

would actually be quite cool there, only some people unfortunately forget that the ocean is the habitat of animals that also swim around there. i saw a huge turtle there today, which was touched by all the tourists, circled, so that it could not escape. that really spoiled my stay, i prefer to enjoy my beach day somewhere where people do not torture animals! to all tourists: keep your hands off wild animals, you do not want to be groped by strangers continuously, right?

The restaurant is right next to the beach and enclosed from the road side. The place small but they do have really good food. We tried the wooden oven pizzas which was tasty especially the bacon and mushroom pizza. They do serve a wasabi as well on request which pairs unimaginable well with the pizzas. The service is really fast and value for money is high. Parking is along the roadside. All in all really good pizza!

I love this place! The food is great. Its freshly made and is prepared quite speedily. I would recommend the pizza or the curries. It's so relaxing to sip on a king coconut on watch the sea and turtles.

Great place! Service was very quick and friendly. We really enjoyed the bacon and mushroom pizza, it was big and flavorful. Cocktails were also very good, The daiquiri especially was really nice. Everything was also priced reasonably. Might go back to try other dishes they have, but for now it is highly recommended for pizza and cocktails.

Great place to go to spend the day on the beach and swim with the turtles. The pizzas and seafood risotto and sashimi are recommended. Best time to travel here is during the season December to April where you will see turtles swimming in the area.

It’s a pity that such a good place turned into a turtle business. Seaweed sellers are unfriendly and dishonest, tourists encountering the turtles always scream and yell, kids torture poor animals. The beach is not relaxing, you’ll feel like a tortured turtle there

Great place to visit if your looking for chilled out spot in the area with ample space by the side of the beach. The restaurant is opened up to the beach and a great place for turtle watching as well. Because most of the time, turtles are around this spot. Lovely food and ambience is just great. Best is to have a chilled beer by the beach at Wijaya beach. The staff are friendly and helpful and serves to all your needs. if your in for a sea bath too, you can definitely have dip in the sea here. Changing room facilities are also available here

Amazing place to watch the sunset. You can order everything at the bar. I loved the Vanille milkshake. The pizza was okay. The edges were a bit black and the dough was not completle baked. But it is a lovely spot for the sunset.

Nice location right in front of the sea, but the staff were horrible. They didn't want to be bothered by any customers. We left the place just after a drink due to that reason.

Went for dinner. We ordered pizza, appetizer and cocktails. The pizzas were good, wood fire thin crust pizza! THE POTATO WEDGES ARE WORTH THE PRICE WHEN COMPARED TO PORTION SIZE !

Love this place already for 10 years. Never changed their menu cause it's great. The location is unique. At a bay that is mind blowing when low tide. Be one of the lucky ones to swim with huge turtles. Please do not touch them.

The ambience with the beach and the surrounding would be the primary reason to visit the place and in that aspect it is well worth it. The restaurant is designed with the architectural cues from an era before and it suits the overall vibe. The beach and the sea beyond provides enough and more space for a swim, sunbathing and strolls. The food was decent but the place was very crowded and for anybody who has concerns about COVID-19 regulations, almost none of the staff and the patrons had face masks on, and temperature checks are not at all required upon entry.

We are very pleased with the restaurant. We visit it every day when we go to the beach. Every day we eat different dishes and each time they are uniquely delicious. Thanks to the team. P.S. and we think that this is the best beach in Sri Lanka for families with small children and not only… :)

They are know for their pizza and it actually tests amazing. The dinning area is a compact space and the sea shore is close to the restaurant where the water comes close to your feet. Gives very chill vibes.

Beautiful sandy beaches a chilled beer and a warm pizza. This is a slice of heaven. One of the must-go places if you are around Unawatuna, Galle. They've got good thin crust pizza. Seats by the beach and beer. The beach is safe, and not overly crowded too.

We ate here twice. Pizza from the wood fired oven was excellent and very quick service. We had prawn curry and a prawn and salad meal the second occasion. We also tried the cheese cake on both occasions which was excellent and good value for money. The only down side is the drinks are slightly more expensive than some places. Would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Situated overlooking the ocean, the location is wonderful and the restaurant itself well-appointed and comfortable. The food is delicious, and the menu inclusive. The cheesecake in particular is outstanding. Service is efficient and polite.The staff seem a little jaded though. I realise the restaurant gets very busy, and the waiters have become accustomed to working in such a beautiful environment, but it would be nice to see more than the occasional smile.

The only time I had Western food during our time in Sri Lanka and it was fantastic! Went for the anchovie pizza, so good that we returned the next day to try some curry seafood which was even better. The staff is friendly, and you can swim with turtles right outside which is an incredible experience

We literally go here every chance we get. The pizzas are out of this world and perfect after hours in the water. The location is spectacular, the quintessential beach experience,great music, great food and stunning beach with amazing snorkeling.

Great place for drinks, pizza is good too. Sometimes u see turtles coming to the beach to lay eggs. Had some good nights there..service could be a bit quicker,when full

Wijaya beach offers some of the best pizzas I've ever had. Additionally, there's a beautiful beach for swimming, where you can also swim with turtles. It's an ideal spot for watching the sunset as well.

Consistent delicious food .. they no longer have the four cheese in case you are wondering... but the pizza they still serve is delicious... lovely ambience and one of the best places to chill down south.

Wijaya beach is a hidden gem in Unawatuna. Don't be fooled by the small entrance the restaurant is amazing. Their specialty is thin crust pizzas which are excellent. The staff are super friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant with the amazing sea view makes this an awesome experience.

Delicious pizzas. Thin and crispy A little burnt on the crusts and quite heavy on the cheese. Speedy service. Beautiful beach but crowded and rocky in parts. In August- sea is very forceful- 30ft waves but broken by the rocks, so you can swim at low tide.

Amazing swim with the turtles you are mostly lucky to find them coming to you with the waves. Tranquil lagoon makes your sunset all the more beautiful

We went there for dinner because everything else was closed and were pleasantly surprised. Pizza was nice, nothing too special though. Beach view was very nice.

WE WERE CATCALLED They may treat the foreigners well, but not us Sri Lankans. It was very crowded when we get there. We asked them to arrange us a table and they didn't even care. Very unprofessional staff. They were taking care of all the foreigners and completely neglected us. The staff was made of bunch of guys and were very unprofessional. We had four girls in our group and we were all being catcalled the whole time. It's just they don't do that to the foreigners but us. We did not have the ability to change our plans at that moment so we had to dine there anyways. Pizza was okay, a very thin crust but it's okay. Tasted good. But I personally would not recommend the place to anyone because above all, they do not know how to respect people.

Good food good times.! Even though we found there no more varieties of food to select we we’re really happy with the order we had. Super tasty.! Good service and recommend for dinner and day time as well. It’s famous for see the turtles during the day time. If you go in the evening better go early to take a good spot

Fantastic location on one of the best beaches in the area, calm waters in front of the reef, turtles visit regularly. Great place to hang out and watch the day go by and enjoy freshly cooked pizza from the pizza oven, delicious salads, mango and tomato salsas and more.

Food is good! First time here! Staff is not that friendly, mainly they focusing on the people they know. Had to wait so long to order our food. Other than that. Love the place! Such a lovely view.

The only thing special about the place is the beach and the surrounding. Food is bad except for their pizza. Pizza is somewhat ok and tasty. Food is overpriced and they're showing in USD($) and they have a daily USD to LKR conversion of their own. A pizza is about LKR 2100 at this time of writing. A fresh juice is about LKR 900. I had a tasteless risotto for LKR 2700. Had a free breakfast with old toast and had no juice, sausages or anything. Accommodation is ok but you don't feel safe with the staff. They are not professionals or trained. Don't expect to get the same customer service you get when you check in to a Hotel or a Motel. They don't bother to greet you or kindly talk to you, except for some of them (there was a couple of staff member who passed the good vibe check) but overall they looks like they're just angry that we came to stay 🤔 In order to book a room, you have to call/whatsapp the number on their IG/website. Prices on the website are wrong/not have been updated. You have to deposit the full amount they say into their bank account in order for them to make a room reservation for you. Rooms are good in condition but you don't get anything extra, it's just the room. No telephone, no room service, not even soap. There was a liquid somewhat like shower gel, that was it. No coffee, milk (only some tea bags and sugar) Best time to visit is November to April (this is when the sea is calm and steady. Turtles can be seen here very often. Unlike the restaurant, the beach is super good and worth a visit. Wijaya Beach is I'm afraid not recommended and I will not stay again.

Such a horrendous experience I had with my friends during our lunch on a Sunday .. I ordered seafood risotto and instead got served with “Samba Rice” prepared in risotto style and was served with a side of green salad 😂 ( funny, not funny ) 2 of my friends ordered Sri Lankan Prawn and fish curry with rice . Instead they got served with Thai White curry loaded with Maggie coconut powder which was absolutely a nightmare in a dish for someone with an average palatable taste buds even … Upon brining up the matter the staff, they said the Manger would be arriving in 5 minutes and he never did. Later on they said that’s how their curries are prepared and the person taking the order should have informed us of the same. As per the risotto , they acknowledge the attempt to hoodwink by serving Samba rice and waved the charges off for the dish while my 2 friends literally swallowed the plain white rice with so badly prepared “kirihondi” with boiled seafood dumped in it. Our objective was to be served with a decent meal not to receive excuse or discounts. FYI for the Manger who never turned up !!!

After trying their pizzas, I understand the mixed reviews. They are ok to eat if you are hungry, but honestly as a Western European they are really flat. I don't expect them to use oregano like we do as it's not common in Asia, but for that price a bit of garlicky taste or some chili would have been appreciated. Moreover the pizza was thin and crusty but like too thin and dry. They should call it "rotti pizza" rather than pizza because the base seems closer to that of rotti, no moist in the middle and some burnt. The ambience of the place was nice and it felt that was what I was paying for. One of the worst fooding experiences so far in Sri Lanka.

They have a great selection of pizzas and tastes so good. Nice cocktails but pricy. The place is in a nice location by the beach.

I've been up and down the island and I have never tasted pizza as good Wijaya Beach. Absolutely delicious pizza accompanied by a generous dollop of chili oil. 100/100

Nice place to hang out, overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean. We have been there couple of times in different times of the year and we saw at-least one turtle swimming in the shallow waters. There's collection of wood fried pizzas , local beers and cocktails available

Great beach for family's with children. There Is possibility to watch sea turtle. If you have sea weed you can feed them. Near this place there are some cosy cafe with a view tables.

Lovely place. The sea is amazing due to the natural reef.

We've ordered a seafood pizza and a lemon and ginger calamari. And they were tasty. The restaurant terrace is a picturesque viewpoint, need to mention. Recommend this place.
