The place is in galleface fort overlooking the ocean. If you like to enjoy the sea breeze while having your meals I would say that this is a great place to be. Gets easily crowded and therefore would recommend to go at a odd time than the usual lunch dinner times. Reasonably good food but personally feel it is kind of overpriced for the basic dishes and drinks. Friendly staff and the restaurant has a nice ambiance.

A nice restaurant situated at “Dutch Hospital Shopping mall” in Galle Fort. The restaurant is in first flow facing to the see. You can dine in with a breathtaking scenery. They serve a nice, decent food. Prices are average.

I came here several times before c0vid and this is my final assessment after c0vid... No improvement from them, this place is famous for dish that doesn't match the description... So before you order a food, it's better to take a photo of the description from the menu, sometimes the menu that comes doesn't match the description, something is missing, for example, there are no toppings and others... The last menu I ordered from here was seafood fried rice... The price is quite expensive, with minimal seafood, also not too tasteful... I can get the same menu for half the price at Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel, it's delicious... They say this place only sells views... For the view I better go to Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel lol not too mention I can swim there as well with just lunch in the restaurant!!! There's one comment from someone here that made me laugh when he said, they never say 'CAN'T' hahaha for that if you're there, ask Wi-Fi and Coffee I want to know what their answer is ROFL 🤣

Excellent location above the wall surrounding the Galle peninsula. Shaded terrace with a little wind during a hot day. Staff is not so quick and apparently prejudiced since Indian people who came after us got their drinks way ahead of us. We ordered the Tuktuk mafia chicken and the Tandoori chicken wrap, which were good. But the french fries were way too salty as can be seen on a attached picture. Why put a salt and pepper set on the table than? Would stil recommend this restaurant, but be forewarned.

Our decision to try this place, suggested online during our day trip, didn't meet expectations. We arrived to find no host, making it hard to get seated. After a staff member initially refused, we spotted an empty table ourselves. The service was slow, and the food options were limited and mostly unavailable. We had to take the initiative to call the waiter for our order. Despite these hiccups, the only positive was the beautiful location by the ocean, where we managed to enjoy our meal. Overall, the experience fell short due to the service and availability issues, even though the view added a pleasant touch to our visit.

Located in the Dutch Hospital, Galle Fort. Food is very tasty especially the melted tuna course and seer fish main course. Drinks are awesome and you may try a range of mocktails as well, while you feel the sea breeze and enjoying the view of Galle Beach.

We came here for quick beer and we were not disappointed. Staff was really friendly and the service was excellent.

The restaurant is located with a scenic view, anyone who loves the ocean should not miss a meal here. The menu has a large range of food however only a selected set of meals are available( on the day we went). The meals were delicious. I tried the bread with beef curry which tasted great. All the other meals ordered were great as well. The portion sizes were quite big. The drinks as good as well. The value for money is high. Parking is available as well.

An excellent spot for a cool beer with a sea view . Their calamari twist was delicious. Fast assistance. One drawback is that their high chairs can be somewhat uncomfortable when sitting for extended periods of time. Can be recommended this place quick bite.

Visited for a quick lunch on the way to Hikka. Located in the old dutch hospital precinct at the Galle Fort. Seating area was very impressive and relaxing with a lovely view of the southern sea. Food was pretty ordinary nothing special and took longer than expected to serve.

Everything was perfect. Nice and clean place, helpful staff and tasty food. Every meal was really delicious, from apetizer to dessert. Eranda was our waiter, two days in a row, and we could not wish for a better waiter.

Slow service, great views, good drinks and very good food. We had the devilled chicken, which was well made (and huge portions!) , and a prawn curry that was out of this world! Loved the vibe and the food. The service is slow/slightly forgetful due to language barriers, throughout the south, so I don't blame them.

Restaurant with amazing sea views. Limited menu but held the quality over the last several years. Service is ok and food comes in less than 10 minutes most of the time. It's the best view point in galle Dutch hospital complex. Amazing atmosphere and view. Price definitely towards the high side usually costing over Rs 3000 / per person on average without special orders or sides.

Beautiful view and good food. A bunch of things on the menu were not available but what we finally ended up getting was good. My friend ordered the chardonnay which stank so perhaps stay away from the wine. Over all, recommended and would go there again.

Had a good start but it went nowhere. I had to wait for 70 mins for my food. I tried to order drinks while I was waiting for the food but each time I had to go up to the bar to order food because no one ever come to check if I had receive an order already. I ordered a prawn curry but when the food arrive it turned out to be a cocktail-shrimp, frozen shrimp. 🍤 When I wanted to pay I had to waited for over 15 mins to get my bill. I had to ask for it four times. What a disappointment. Such a shame. It had great views but I’d never recommend anyone to come and get here. Sorry.

During my recent visit to Tuk Tuk, the restaurant by the sea, I was extremely disappointed with the overall experience. The service was poor, with unfriendly staff and a long wait time of over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. My wife ordered the dhal curry and brinjal moju, but even those dishes were not up to par with our expectations. The roti that came with the dhal curry was undercooked, and the salad I ordered tasted terrible and was not worth the price. To make matters worse, the restaurant was not clean, with dirty floors and tables, and an overall lack of hygiene. It was clear that the establishment was not being properly maintained. But what bothered me the most was the discriminatory treatment of locals compared to foreigners. This is an issue that has been mentioned in other reviews as well, and it's unacceptable for any restaurant to treat their customers differently based on their nationality.

Lovely place for a meal by the sea side. Had their srilankan crab curry which was really tasty and prawn rice which was a bit bland. If you are wandering around Galle Fort, this place is worth a visit.

Oh man, let me tell you about this absolute gem. I mean, I could practically live off their carbonara alone. It's just so creamy and delicious. Every single bite is a heavenly experience. But it's not just the food that makes this place so incredible. it's the whole package. The service is top notch, always friendly and attentive without being overbearing. And don't even get me started on the view. The ocean and the boats and the salty air. It creates the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the meal. Trust me when I say, this place is an absolute gem. We had an amazing lobster with beautiful night sea view. Staff were very nice and friendly and modified the food exactly as we wanted. The lobster were fresh and delicious and also comparing to other places in Galle the price was cheaper ❤️

Superbly located with a view to die for. Their drinks were flavourful and the service was decent. The food left more to be desired however. Perhaps it was our selection. Worth a try though. They have a BYOB policy and their staff were courteous and friendly.

It has the best ocean view and well maintained restaurant. I recommend the day time view. We ordered chocolate milkshakes,and I would say that the presentation, quantity and quality were good. Why 2 Stars??- We payed Rs 530/= per milkshake.If its this expensive the customer service should be exceptional. Staff was not welcoming, though they saw us didn’t even care to take the order.Seems like they are not respecting customers. To owner- If you are trying to apply michelin star prices, as customers we also expect professional level of customer service

Nice place and setting on the Galle Fort overlooking the clear blue waters. Enjoyed the the Chilli Chilli Pork served with steamed rice and other dishes were also great, the crab and the prawn. Super service!

Had the black pork curry and the chicken paan with some beers and mojitos - really great location and very well priced all things considered. Service was good too and we were very glad to eat here for our final night in Galle!

Can't beat seaside location. Crab curry ended up with half a tasty crab plus the empty claws and shell of another that had died and turned watery before being frozen, thawed, cooked and served--luckily we didn't get sick. Arrabiata pasta sauce was sweet, not savory nor spicy. Rest of food was alright.

Had a wonderful time for dinner here the Sri Lankan dishes were on point also the beef burger and even the fried rice had its own twist and was really nice. The service from Chamal (I hope I got the name correct) was really nice, he took time to listen and adjust the dishes according to what we liked for example godamber instead of rice. Was a good night even though it was raining and we had to move a little because it was too windy we had a good time.

The best food we had in Sri Lanka so far! The waiter Jamal was extremely kind to us and even spoke a little German! Everything we had was soo delicious we couldn‘t stop eating even though it was a little spicy. I can really recommend this place!

Well decorated sea front restaurant in Galle fort. Food is great, good view of the bay but poor service. They tool more than 45 min to serve two dishes and the fish I ordered was overcooked. Don't go there if you are hungry.

Honestly I am giving a five star rating for the wonderful view. It was an afternoon and I enjoyed the view and the sea breeze more than the food. When it comes to food it’s average with respect to their price and the portion. Place is clean and well maintained. Since this is located in the Dutch Hospital building, you can park your vehicle there and the parking is visible to the restaurant if your seating is arranged in the corner.

Absolutely, without doubt, the best curry dish I have eaten in my 5 visits to Sri Lanka. Coupled with superb customer service, I went to bed very full and extremely satisfied. Thank you, A Minute By TukTuk!

Did not have around half of the meals offered in the menu and the coffee machine was off. We still decided to eat there and had the worst food we got in Sri Lanka. Totally overcooked tuna steak, super dry calamari and one dish came like half an hour after the others. As the view is nice, you might want to have a drink here, but do not eat here!

Restaurant in the iconic Galle Fort. The view is fantastic and the service is also really great. The restaurant ambience and the theme matches to its surrounding and one can enjoy their meals freely. Only Downside is that their menu is limited in terms of choices and the portions are for single person only. They have used quality ingredients in their menu but lacks flavour in some of the dishes. Personally recommend chilli chilli bang bang, and seafood fries rice.

Ordered portion of chicken spring rolls. Not worth for the money. It has the best view. I guess they have added that value for foods. We could have get it from a 5star half the price with better taste. Drinks were okay but they didn’t have coffee and hot chocolate.

The view from the restaurant is great. But the manager/caption of the restaurant is rude. As soon as he saw Asian(we) the behaviour changed. He kept ignoring us. White people for him seems to be like God. He even did not greet us properly. Food was good. Prices are hyped. Water bottle is priced double of MRP. If questioned why so? No answer.

Nice seaview from their balcony. The tuna steak was well prepared. The same goes for the vegetables (carrot and cauliflower) and the mashed potatoes.

Went there with family for lunch and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The view from the dining area is superb. The staff were friendly. The food was good and portion size was generous. Tried out their signature prawn curry with toasted bread and it was exceptional.
