it was a rather quick decision to go on this trip. it was the first time we were here and it was a good stay. we did have a small issue with a room smell due to previous visitors negligence with seafood, but the staff was nice enough to give us anoter room to switch, which was great. the hotel is on landside but has a great view of the ocean opposite. they also do have steps to goto the beach and it seemed on so deep if you are planning on going for a dip. food was good, we had breakfast and some bites and lunch. i would.recomend going and chilling near the pool area which was very nice and fun for us. we endedup having a pool day. the prices for rooms and food was very reasonable and comparatively cheap given the demand for accommodation during the period we travelled. PS : you can also plan sometime at the beach or even going for a spend the day at Angel Beach which is right around the corner from this hotel.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone unless you want to sleep in a dirty, mouldy, insect infested room. We booked 4 rooms altogether, and in the duration of 2 nights we have to change rooms twice, the first room stunk of cigarette smell, the second time our air on started pouring out water. Our rooms never got cleaned during the day, meaning we had to ask for towels. The towels, bedsheets and curtains are all dirty, had stains and smelt of mould. The food options are horrible, oily and dry. The pool has that many mosquitoes around it you can’t swim. Don’t get started on the poor electrical work, at any moment it can start a fire. The only positive thing about the entire place is the workers who serve you food and take your bags to the room. How this hotel has such a good rating is beyond me. I don’t recommend at all.

Not only room we had pool access free and amazing beach front see view. Rooms also fully equipped with mini bar, tea bag kettle, tv, Clean beds, bathrooms, balcony. Friendly staff. Rooms bit old. But not a issue

We stayed this hotel for one night. The experience is awesome. The staff is very friendly and always come for your help. The highlighting factor is food. Food are really tasty. Rooms need to be better than this. They have a beachfront and it is a safe place to have a sea bath. Overall experience is awesome and recommend for others.

Hotel isn't in the center of Unawatuna life, but near the sea in calm area. Has 2 buildings: the one of them is located beside beach. Rooms in this part have fantastic view. There is good breakfast in the hotel, but not various. Swimming pool in the territory satisfy everyone who want to swim in windy day.

There was our wedding party last month. We had been discussed with its manager Mr. Priyantha for the 2500 / - per plate for the wedding. But in the end he charged us Rs. 2950 / - per a plate. We talked at that time but it was useless. It was not the face that was there when the hall was booked for the ceremony that was later. After all, we paid more because of their mistake. But hall was fine food is good.

My recent stay at this hotel near the beach was a wonderful experience! The hotel's location couldn't be better - just steps away from the sandy shores and offering mesmerizing beach views from the rooms. Beach is near but it’s too deep and high tide. We need to walk a bit to access the beach with less water. The rooms, while not extravagant, were comfortable and had all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The highlight was undoubtedly the balcony overlooking the beach. Each morning, I woke up to the sound of crashing waves and the sight of a breathtaking sunrise. It was truly a rejuvenating experience. The hotel's cleanness was impressive. The staff members were polite and helpful throughout our stay. While the hotel's facilities were not lavish, it's important to note that the main attraction here is the proximity to the beach and the amazing views. It's the perfect spot for those seeking a relaxing getaway with direct access to the coast. If I were to provide a suggestion for improvement, it would be to update the decor in the rooms and common areas to enhance the overall ambiance. Nonetheless, the hotel's reasonable pricing and the mesmerizing beachfront location make it a solid choice for a memorable beach vacation.

Great service. Close by natural sea bay . Safe to have a sea bath. Ample parking. Pool with a deep end.

No room service. Primitive dining area. Local food ( Rice and curry, String hoppers) was very good and tasty.

Stayed here with family in 2 rooms for almost 3 weeks, very good value for the price if booked offline. The host is so welcoming, and all of the staff were super kind, enjoyed it a lot. Also it is close to all the good beaches and cafes around, a 5-15 min tuk tuk drive will get you everywhere. Huge pool is nice to chill at! They make okay cocktails at the bar, and amazing tomato soup! Will come back again for sure! Good times

Stayed there for 02 nights and it was really awesome! The rooms were spacious and the meals were good and was able to select any from the menu. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Good place for a short stay.rooms are big and clean. Foods are ok, but one portion Is not enough for a person. pool is bit unclean. Insect bit my hand while swimming. It was painful. friendly staff.

Staff is friendly and nice even to locals. Rooms and hotel was clean and neat. Pool was bigger than expected with small Jacuzzi type area. Food wasnt that great. Garden view and Pool view rooms on the same floor balconies weren't separated. Pool view is better. Overall great value for money!

Great location with most services to fit a travelers needs. Be prepared to climb flights of stairs to your room. Breakfast was plentiful with options for western tastes and curries to satisfy your curry addiction.

Over charged at bar, not organized at all for customer service, hotel didn't have dinner available and made a big issue when I ordered pizza as they made it a point not to allow my team to consume in the dining area. Highly over rated.

I went to a wedding function held at the hotel. Staff was very friendly. Location was perfect. To me feel like the place wasnt clean enough. Juat like everything is a mess. But i gave 4 stars coz when i compare all together the negative things i meantioned are very little.

Stayed there with my parents and it was good. Reception staff is very friendly and supportive although the others aren't much willing to walk the extra mile. Room was clean but slightly congested with the dressing table and the TV stand. There was no tea making facilities in the room but when requested they provided morning bed tea. Didn't order any food from the restaurant but attended a wedding there which was the reason for our stay and the food was superb. Nicely layed out buffet was available with not so common set of desserts. Everything was presented well and the food tasted great.

We booked 2 tripel room.water not available in bath room until night. Kids goes to bed without shower.food also not special.

we did a wedding at Sunmira hotel. we had a lot of bad experiences. we order breakfast at 7.00 am but they didn't serve it until 7.45 am. we have to order and wait around 10mins. the same thing happened with the lunch. they delay it by 1 hour. (it affected our schedule. due to this delay, we were very embarrassed) The manager was very aggressive. zero support for customs. he scolds to the hotel staff at the wedding event. one of AC wasn't working. when I told him, he showed me the control panel and said " this is work. I have nothing to do". at least he didn't come to check AC. We were embarrassed by his bad behavior on several occasions. not only us people that came for other events had the same experience. but other staff are ok. they supported us. food and service are not at a standard level. breakfast was very small. Poor hospitality. hotel rooms and tables were dirty.
