Cheater waiters and cashier...! I went to this restaurant for the first time with my girlfriend for lunch and we had a quite good dine. The bill was also fair. However, when I alone went to the same restaurant just two days later for lunch, the same waiter served me and I ordered only Chicken Fried noodles, one mixed fruit juice and a water bottle. When I finished my lunch, I asked for the bill from the waiter and before getting the bill for me from the cashier, he said it's Rs. 1,500/- . I knew it cannot be the price, but since I was in a hurry to catch the train, I gave him the money and asked for the bill. Then this waiter said he's busy settling other customers' bills, and embarrassed me with the question "Do you really want a bill?". I said yes, and followed him to the cashier. I saw him uttering something to the cashier with a cunning smile and the cashier printed the attached bill. The prices of the fruit juice and the water bottle were made-up, and adjusted to match Rs. 1,500/-...!! As I can remember, the price of the fruit juice in the menu was around Rs. 300/- to Rs. 400/- and definitely a bottle of water does not cost Rs. 149/- , the price they made up in my bill...!! However I had just five minutes for the train, so I could not go complaining. I returned with the loss for myself instead, advising myself that I will never step into this restaurant again.

This is a good restaurant with a very nice staff. Their card terminal has issues but besides that I can recommend this place

Terrible service and poor meal! We went here for lunch. We ordered the burger and soda special. When our chicken burgers arrived they looked good, but when we saw the burger patty we were shocked! I'm not sure if it was even chicken. It was a tiny ham like slice. By far the most miserable excuse for a burger I have ever come across! The fries and salad were good, but on a whole the meal lacked the essential chicken! The service was feeble. The waiters were lurking near the window constantly looking at us. It was very uncomfortable! Once I had paid I proceeded to the door. The manager was standing in the doorway. I tapped him on the shoulder and said "excuse me" twice and he still did not not move. I had to squeeze passed him! He did not even bother to apologize or attempt to move out of the way. Sri Lanka has pretty shocking service, even in the more expensive restaurants, and this restaurant is no different. Probably even worse than the vast majority.

Sri Lankan buffet served upstairs is ok..nothing great. Their menu looks promising though.

Though the atmosphere there was nice the staff should trained a little bit more... The boy who served us given an full attention though he seems to be less experienced... About food.....- we ordered Avocado juice which they served without chilled. So we had to ask for ice cubes. 🤦🏻‍♂️🥤❄️

The Kamu is an average restaurant chain, managed by people may have good business knowledge, but without an understanding of their customer or the market they are catering. My recent visit for a meal to Kamu was a disaster, this happened to me once in another shop of their chain. The cook don't know the balance of a food mix or don't want learn, one of the basics in cooking.

Highly recommended for tourists looking for tasty Sri Lankan food, the extensive buffet at R1200 per pax is very much worth it - recommended by my villa manager as a place to go for local food - they definitely get the thumbs up for presentation and taste. Having gone around Sri Lanka searching for 'clean places to eat with my young kids' it's nice to eat hot food rather than wondering if the food is going to cause you a stomach ache because it's been sitting there. Great friendly service and the western dishes (you may need to wait) are good too. Kids had the chicken burgers, the marinara that we ordered came out as a carbonara so prob a mix up but still tasted good. I would happily go again and recommend this place to friends

Spacious and Clean – Tasty Sri-Lankan cum Eastern Food My wife and stopped here for lunch on 30th October 2019 while we were in the Heritage Galle Dutch Fort. The restaurant is located near the old lighthouse overlooking the sea. We were welcomed at entry and requested to choose a table as there were not many diners at the time. There were a few tables outside by the roadside, with a spacious dining room within. We seated ourselves at a convenient spot overlooking the dining room. We chose to serve ourselves from the buffet available. It was a mixture of Sri Lankan dishes as well as Eastern dishes. There was different types of rice with dhal, chicken, fish, salads, soup etc. The dessert was Ice-cream with fruit salad. I took some photographs after asking permission from the manager. I told him that I would post them on the internet. The dining room filled up with diners while we were having our lunch. We spent about an hour at the restaurant and enjoyed our meal.

Had a delicious sandwich and luckily we were able to leave our backpacks for an hour to view Galle. Great restaurant!

Terrible. First of all, food took so long to come. Then the portions were really small. Totally not worth it. The food had so much of salt. Staff needs to improve their service since they didn't even bother to give a spoon to eat the rice. Only good thing here is the A/C!

Very disapointed in this place! Ordered food and drinks both were disgusting and the service was Bad! No taste and no love in the food! You Can get Amazing traditional Sri lankan food for half the Price! Also when i told the waiter it tastes no good ( we left the table with almost full plates) he told me he knew it was Bad food! I ve worked in a restaurant and i Can tell you this is a horrendous place never go! Its just a dumb tourist Trap!

Despite power cut during our visit, indian food was delicious and prices affordable.

We really liked the food and the kind staff. Buffet was superb. We ordered Shrimps and chicken dishes separately. Chicken dish was nice but not great. But overall a great experience.
