A nice place to enjoy authentic Italian pasta in Galle. I tried ravioli , pasta and coffee latte as a hot beverage and Ice Moka as a cold beverage. The meals were so yummy 🤤. They have a home made pasta and a home made sauce and that combination is great. The staff is very friendly and serves the order as soon a they can. It may take some time to prepare them because they start prepare the meals after we place the order. At the day I visited there (2022-11-05) cards wasn’t accepted by them. Only cash. The price is something expensive but it is worthy because it is authentic Italian and the unique taste of the meals. As an Italian myself, I found this restaurant to be 100% authentic Italian (you can read different opinions from non Italian people but they don't have a clue what they're talking about). Not only the food is amazing, with the typical elegant simplicity of the dishes that makes it special, but also the vibe inside the restaurant and elements of the furniture are really authentic. After eating local Sri Lankan specialties for almost 2 weeks, it's been a great break form the flavorful curries and it's been nice to find a corner of Italy this far from home.

Had high expectations for the Ravioli but was not that good in my opinion, maybe it was because of the spinach. Tagliatelle was good. Cookie cream milkshake was delicious as well. The vibe of the resturant is really good.

A place you should try if you are in Galle Fort. Run by an Italian Lady Paula makes her own pastas and that's where the name came from. Quite cozy place with matching interiors. Food is amazing and tasty. Recommended to try..

Omg what a meal. Delicious food!! Loved the Ravoli. Best Italian i have ever had, and a great price also. Hope to come back. Loved the building in was in too, was very nice and clean. Best part was that our meals were from handmade pasta, nice and fresh.

Ok. First off the reviews is exact. You can bring in beer or wine here also but make sure you bring your receipts. The place has a nice vibe but the food is so delicious. We ordered so much. Everything is perfect. They should sell some of their merchandise that has the pasta factory written on it. The service is one of the best around. Asking for more bread is also available for free.

The atmosphere was really eye catching. Nicely decorated. Had a great vibe. Tagliatelle and Cookie cream milkshake were delicious. But Ravioli was not much good.

We loved the 4 pasta dishes we had here. All was cooked Al dente and the gnocchi was amazing. We also appreciated the complimentary garlic bread they brought out for us as it kept the kids happy until the pasta came out, which wasn’t very long at all. The price is on the higher end which is understandable and my only complaint would be that the ravioli serving could have been bigger for the price.

As Italians living abroad, we were craving pasta and were so happy to bump into this authentic Italian restaurant. Charming Osteria vibes, excellent service and yummy home-made pasta that truly tasted like home! 100% recommended 🇮🇹

If this is seriously the best Italian food in the city, then please close down all other places. This is so far from real Italian food. My carbonara was just a disgrace and any proper real Italian chef could easily agree on it. Everyone thinks Italian food is easy and that's why they start cooking it. Pls go back to basics and do not disgrace Italian food and proper cheese (topping) like this. Should also make an effort and play some nice suited music for the food you serve. Pricey on top of that. Real waste of money.

The place is really nice mostly in the night. Well decorated. Their staff is friendly and think it's owned by an italian. Food is great and prices are reasonable. Should try the Strawberry cheese cake and the Carbonara there

This is the real deal people! Whatever that you select from the menu would not disappoint you! Food and the service was amazing. We met the owner lady (I think) and she is really nice too. Asked us if the food was okay or we'd need anything else and whatnot. She was feeding her kid there.. so I'm pretty sure the food was clean too. I think there is no better way to set an example on location! Loved the food, Loved the service! Price is pretty reasonable too. Ambiance was pretty nice too.

Great food. Ordered a hot chocolate and it was the same thick hot chocolate that I had when I visited Italy. Ordered many other dishes as well and it was all amazing. Atmosphere is great too. Prices are really reasonable as well not at all expensive.

If I would say I have never eaten such a good pasta in my life that would be absolutely right. Sadly I didn't take a photo of my dish just trust me. Carbonara was unbelievable. Atmosphere like in Europe. Once during our lunch experience I forgot that I'm in Sri Lanka. The only thing I want to mention that coffee didn't meet my expectations. Cappuccino wasn't really good. The ambiente is very italian even with italien music. My Tortellini were good, yet it is a very small portion for the price. I say that it is only 85% worth it. Apart from that everything was very much to my liking.

Had high expectations from this place. The spaghetti was good but the bruschetta was far from italian. Prices are high but portion served should be increased frankly. Just for the confirmation of the owner I gave my honest feedback to waiter who gave the bill.I sadly had to leave and go to other place to eat food. We love love their pasta here! It’s the best pasta we had in Galle fort. We had the fresh pasta pesto and aglio e olio. Too bad they were close on Mondays coz we wanted to go there again.

Such a unique spot and hands down the best Italian restaurant in the country. Amazing food. All pasta is handmade and tastes divine. You can't go wrong with your pasta dishes here. Its worth travelling all the way to Galle just to have their food. The place is owned by an Italian lady, so there is no doubt about the authenticity and quality. She's following in her grandmas footsteps with the handmade pastas and that is the highlight of the place. Highly recommended.

I had mixed experience in the restaurant - ordered pumpkin ravioli, asked if it contained onion\garlic, they said no but I found a chunk of onion inside which the waiter guy told is ginger. I'm not allergic to ginger and it was visibly an onion piece so despite arguing with me the waiter changed the dish. Spinach ravioli had pretty dry filling but was okay. Apart from us only one table was occupied but we repeatedly had to wait super long time till someone comes to us. When we asked for the bill and paid the guy just did not return the change took the money and went to serve other people. We waited for 10 minutes and decided to just leave since we were fed up with this place.

Being Italian really doesn't mean you can cook. Worst food we had. Inedible. The spinach and ricotta ravioli was so thick, the filling tasted really bad with a strong earth tasting local srilankan spinach. The texture and dough the ravioli was made from was super thick and it was chewy and left a rubber texture. We wouldn't finish. The Gorgonzola gnocchi with walnuts tasted rotten. The aglio e olio tasted bitter. No proper seasoning in any of the dishes. Gnocchi was also chewy and had a raw texture to it.

Absolute amazing staff and really nice Italian lady owner. I really longed for an authentic Italian meal and that is exactly what I found here. Very delicious home made pasta and delicious sauce at an affordable price. I can really recommend this restaurant if you want to step out of the local food for a night and indulge yourself in an authentic Italian restaurant.

Great little place with authentic Italian food. The ravioli is to die for. We met the owner and she’s lovely and very welcoming as well. They even let you bring your own bottle of wine. We had a lovely dinner and would recommend this restaurant.

Lovely homemade Italian pasta with beautiful flavor and a host that took good care of us. Ice for the water, aperitif and a lovely atmosphere. We will very much recommend a lunch or dinner stop here if you visit galle fort :)

This is it. This is the most authentic italian restaurant you will find in galle and probably Sri Lanka. The deco give the atmosphere a very homely and genuine feel, which complements their food. The tantalising tagliatelle bolognese which I got was definitely home made and taste great! Vegetable soup was the blended kind, which was amazing. Will definitely visit again

It’s a beautiful little place with quite an authentic menu, run by an Italian family(the lady also speaks French 😉). So let me put pointers- Food genre- Italian Ambience - nice and chic with a half open kitchen almost and nice patisserie on display. I tried - Salmon Raviolli in yummy sauce , Vegetarian Tagliatelle again in yummy sauce and a super soft and delicious yoghurt and cream cheese cake 🍰😋😋 Note - no alcohol served Service - very kind and friendly staff and Bon appetito saying owner Price - it’s on the good range of Galle restaurants. Our food cost is 5000 LLR Let downs - no let downs as such, apart from no alcohol service ( for some it’s necessary 😉) You can bring your own wine though on the plus side - how kind of them
