Utterly disappointed with the service. Called multiple times to make a reservation, no call back, sent a WhatsApp message, sent a reminder on top of the message still not bothered even to read and acknowledge the reservation. Highly disappointed.

Great place with a superb view over the sea. you have direct access to the beach and the beach is not crowded at all.Love there pool as it looks like a naturalpool with cool water. With the coconut trees the pool is protected with direct sun lightand you can enjoya nice swim. Staff is super friendly and they value your privacy. Rooms are extra large than any other place. And most of the rooms have a good collection of books for you to read.all rooms have a separate living area inside the room apart from bed room Wash rooms a clean and tidy. Food is tasty and you can customise the menu as per you need after discussing with the manager. Love there traditional lunch menu. They have adequate parking space and security for your vehicles. Highly recommended.

Great boutique hotel in thalpe sri lanka, food is delicious and staff is very friendly and helpful. They only have 7 rooms where 22 people can fit. Lot of places yku can visit from here, thalpe natural pools, madolduwa, martin wickramasingha folk museum, galle dutch fort etc. Apa villa is good hotel to bring your family ones. You can book total facility if you want.

Had an amazing stay at Apa villa with a couple of my friends recently. The place is ideal for family or a small group of friends who are looking to spend a nice vacation in a secluded yet comfortable boutique hotel. The food was very good and the staff was very attentive and extended a very friendly service overall as well. The property is also a beach front villa which adds to the overall value of the experience.

The place and the atmosphere is very relaxing, and the setup is so calming and beautiful. We had an absolutely stunning view of the pool and the sea beyond, from our suite (Cardamom Suite) and you can have your meals and relax, enjoying the astonishing scenery. Everyone enjoyed the pool pretty much every day, twice a day, morning and evening. Have NO complains on the hospitality and the staff is very friendly and helpful. However, the food was not upto the expectations, especially at the premium prices charged. The menu choices were quite limited and since we were there for 2 days, this was evident very much. Especially the desserts. We were offered more or less the same dessert for majority of the meals. The rice ‘options’ which were offered, and the taste of it was not upto the standard, especially when you think that you will have better meals at home. And the ‘All-day menu of range of light meals…’ for lunch, as mentioned in their website is quite misleading, as you think this is something you get at hotels like Hotel Riu or Uga hotels, but there is nothing as such. You have to pay for everything you order during the day, except for the lunch you order as any other meal. But the pasta and spaghetti dishes were so delicious and the little one also loved it. During this time of the year (I believe), sea is somewhat rough and did not find much choices for sea bathing, except at the Thalpe sea bathing area. All in all, the place and the atmosphere is superb for a relaxing getaway, but I would not recommend the place if you are particular about your food.

Fantastic location you have your own little paradise overlooking the Indian Ocean. If you need to call your self and only to listen to ocean this is the place to be. You have your own private beach. Echo friendly cottages bend with the natural harmony. It was great relaxing experience.

Location is beautiful. Room is average. Service is ok. Food is the disaster! Not worth for the money at all. We had to buy the dental kits from outside even after we paid FB 60K+ for a triple room.

A great place for a family stay. The beach is just a few steps from the room. Very friendly staff. We were on half board. Breakfast and dinner were great. A great place to relax with family!

Probably one of the cheapest quality places I have been to. However, the property is very close to the beach. You literally step out to the sea. There are a lot of bugs and insects/ants in the room. Dead cockroaches were in the bathroom. Service - Staff are very friendly and helpful. However, there is no room service. You need to step out of the room and ring a bell and wait till they come if you need anything. Upon checking said we have a private butler but you need to search him. There’s no dental kits available in the hotel. We have to pay and send butler for buying toothpaste & brush. Food - Not tasty at all with average portions other than breakfast which were very small. English breakfast had two tiny keells sausages and teaspoon of tiny pieces of potatoes with eggs. No filling at all. Pathetic food for luxury as described. Improvements - Need to add room service and rethink their meals. Personally feel that it's not worth the money.

Need a little maintenance but I guess there was a shortage of staff after the pandemic and economic crisis.

Charming ambiance! Outstanding location. The rooms are Large and are beautiful furnished, it feels very luxurious. The quality and variety of food and drinks on offer was amazing.

This is built of a series of villas, most of which are sea-facing. We enjoyed the long strolls on the serene beach of white sand. Apart from this, you get a lot of activities around like snorkeling, surfing, etc. The food served was delicious and the staff members were courteous. Our stay was very relaxing and this place should be called a travelers' paradise.

Excellent boutique hotel in a wonderful location. The room had a sea view. The room was air conditioned, spacious, clean and very well and nicely furnished. The bed was comfortable with mosquito nets. The room had a fridge, safe and tea / coffee making facilities. Ample bottles of water were provided. The beach was only a few yards away, through a well tended grassy lawn planted with coconut trees. There was also a pool. The food was tasty and substantial in quantity. The food was served on the verandah in front of the room itself. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Ideal for a relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

The villa was great, the pool was amazing it was always warm enough to swim in, even during the rain, the staff were very helpful and considerate. But the food is only ok at best and sub par at worst. Overall I would stay again.

This is one of the best place at Srilankan southern beach to have a good sea view. It has a natural pool under the shade of a bunch of coconut trees. Food is tasty and staff is very friendly. They are following all the Covid 19 health guide lines.

This is the worst place to go-to in downsouth. This place would've been good sometime ago but presently it's the worst place to go. The Villa isn't maintened at all and rooms are not clean or does the A/C's work well. We booked the entire villa including all the rooms in the villa but they did not have enough food for all and staff was bothering always to finish eating when they wanted and the dirtiest pool I have ever been too as there was seaweed on the walls of the pool and floor. The water in the pool was green in colour, it's better to go take a dip in the canal than get into their pool. Food was not great. It's not worth for the price you pay. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!!

Apa Villa Illuketia is a magical place.It is an extraordinary property, huge garden with an Colonia Villa and pondhouses. Very good food, super Rice and Curry.

VERY BAD, definitely NOT WORTHY : cockroachs in the room when we arrived we had to insist the 2nd days to remove them (they didn’t clean the room, change the towels and bring water), the first night we didn’t have hot water, the service is bad ( at breakfast they told us to in the morning we should have asked for a special meal/options the day before but they had told us nothing the day before), food is bad, we asked them to book a taxi from thalpe to waduwa they told us 60$ which is X2 the price and pretended they didn’t know it was too expensive. The manager kept saying « it’s not me it’s my colleague » when we told them about the many many issues… Definitely not understand the reviews below…

Nice place to relax with large villas, large garden, swimming pool and the nice beach. Friendly staff and clean tidy rooms with all the amenities. Children can enjoy the safe surroundings all over the place. Food is tasty. However the varieties available during the Covid period was average. Well worth for the money considering the relaxing environment with beach.

A perfect getaway with family. The Villas are constructed beautifully and the pool, the beach and the location is really nice. Very friendly staff and 3 meals served right to your door step. There are minor improvements to be made when it comes to basic needs. Soap, body wash, toothpaste. Other than that, a perfect place for a holiday. Will recommend for both local and foreign fellow travellers.
