It was like a kitchen nightmare episode, took too much time to make our food. Other customers left their tables. Food is okay but it is expensive. You can cook better by yourself.

Sun and Sea This restaurant was close to our apartment and we enjoyed eating here on three occasions. It is at the far south end of the beach with wonderful views and open windows so that you can hear the sound of the waves. Service was good with friendly waiting staff although on one occasion (strangely the quietest night) the food took a long time and my dish arrived ten minutes before my husband's. Highlights were the fried calimari, felafel and vegetable salad. The curry and rice was not very spicy, fine if you like it mild. We also tried devilled tiger prawn, chicken kebab and a chicken dish on bread. On each occasion we had a bottle of red wine and a beer. We also had espresso once. The bill for 2 ranged from 9350—12000 rupees. There is no service charge and they accept cards. Recommended

We stopped here for a beer whilst out walking and decided to eat. It has a very special feel and when you read the plaque on the wall about the woman who built this place it made it all thr more interesting to me. Muharam Perara was such a strong woman. We spoke to her daughter who now owns the hotel and restaurant and lives in Kent UK but waas here for a fortnight checking up on things. It was a pleaseure to stand and spend a few very informative minutes with her. The food was outstanding, we had the King prawn curry with rice and the traditional Sri Lankan curry made to the hotel/restaurants own recipe, it was very fresh. The service was also perfect. The ambience was lovely as you look across the ocean towards Unawatuna Bay. Definitely try this place.

We stayed at the hotel and also ate at the restaurant. The rooms are not spacious but very clean. The building itself is nicely decorated and the staff is really friendly. We particularly enjoyed the ocean views from the balcony. The location is an extra bonus: right at the beach but away from the crowds. Additionally, food was delicious!

My partner and I ate at this restaurant nearly everyday during out stay in sri lanka and we loved it! The staff are so welcoming and the view from your chair is right on thr ocean. Also the pizzas are the best! Highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed my short stay at this hotel. Nearby supermarket , massages and more restaurant options. Staff are very friendly and helpful. My room lock had problems and they got it changed within hours and assured me that I will be safe. Reception also helped me with my transport arrangements. You can exit the hotel from some steps down to a quiet part of the beach with good water for swimming. Recommended !

Great location, decent food. That's on the positive side. Dirty and stained bedsheets, bugs, lizards, spiders and spider webs in the room, including in the bathroom. We stayed around 1 hour in the room, while I took the fastest shower of my life, constantly checking if the lizard who disappeared somewhere in the walls would decide to return. Mould on the bathroom walls and the towels had a funky smell. We left for another hotel and we paid 4000 lkr for that 1 hour we spent in the room.

Amazing view of the sea and beach, great iced coffee and chocolate brownies. Pizza is also very very good. We had curries another night which were delicious. Great any time of day

I stayed at the hotel for 5 days in february and loved every minute of it. The room was clean, had mosquito net around the bed, warm water shower ( not all places have that) AC that worked really well, and tables and chairs outside to enjoy a late night drink. The hotel is located directly on the beach. Very convenient. The staff was very smiling and friendly and efficient. Very helpful. Their kitchen is staffed with highly trained personel. The food they make is 1st class. They had a nice variety of traditional Sri lankan food as well as european. And they have vegitarian and vegan options. Breakfast was a fruit platter, sri lankan toast with jam and butter, coffee or tea and a choice of eggs, curd, french toast, pancakes, roti & dhal. Their coffee was probably the best coffee i had in all of sri lanka, as it is not "coffee country" most other coffee was not so great. They have a pizza oven and make very good pizza ( for when you get tired of the curry :) ) The hotel is not really geared towards children which suited me perfectly. I whole heartedly recomend this hotel. The price is excellent for what you get for your money.

A beautiful place to stay at unuwatuna beach area of Galle. The property is very close to the sea. I enjoyed the sea and the sunset from my balcony. Have restaurant and bar. Staff are very supportive. Amazing stay.

The food is very delicious. Tuna is the best in Unawatuna. Service is nice and fast - just 15 minutes to wait for a grill. My favorite place for lunch here

Now days very random service, you don't even get all food you did order. Food still good if you get what you did order. This place was much better quality 4-5 years ago and before that. So now difficult to say is it worth the hassle or not.

Delicious cafe with great ocean views. The portions are large. In my presence, a group of local guys and girls celebrated their birthday. liked the spaghetti and salad.
