Just had a lovely cup of tea and scone with strawberry jam and clotted cream. The staff were welcoming, very attentive and making us feel special. We sat on the veranda and enjoyed watching the World go by.

One of the most magical nights. The private dining experience is out of this world, the best I have ever had! The staff were incredible the whole night, so kind, professional, just brilliant and went completely above and beyond. My fiance proposed to me here! They had organised musicians, candles, and fairy lights such a wonderful moment made so beautiful by the incredible staff. The food was also absolutely delicious and they have a great cocktail and wine selection. We are so grateful to them all for making our night so special! We can't wait to come back!! Thank you!

Stopped by for coffee and cakes on a rainy afternoon in Galle fort. Was a very nice experience, along with some great service. Even managed to get a small tour of the hotel!

An unforgettable stay in a wonderful country full of friendly, kind and warm people. The hotel is steeped in rich history, the service is consistent and considerate, the experiences are sincere and endearing and facilities fantastic. It was only during our last dinner that we found out it was ranked in top 50 hotels, which made complete sense. A luxury offering rare value.

My family and I visited the Amangalla for refreshments and some shade. We were greeted by friendly, smart, and professional staff who made our brief visit so wonderful, we were even given a guided tour around the beautiful premises. There are lots of stairs, so it's not good for people with mobility issues but good for everyone else.

Had high tea with family which was Rs.7,000+ for a platter for two. Food was good but more sweets than savoury. Customer Service was good and Umesh who handled our reservation was quite helpful.

Inspite of making a reservation we were made to wait before we could even sit on a table. While waiting we thought we'd walk around a bit to explore the outside garden area for which apparently we were a misfit as it seemed exclusive for white people. We were asked atleast 5 times by different staff members if we've made a reservation. Seems like this has been an ongoing trend with the hotel. Discriminating against people from the Indian subcontinent. Disgusting.

I had the signature massage and used the baths for the afternoon. It is more expensive than other spa options in the area, but certainly worth it. I had private use of the baths which were incredibly high spec and gorgeously designed, plus the massage facilities were the most comfortable and luxurious I’ve experienced in the world. The massage was also a very high standard. I was treated like royalty and really cared for by Samantha and all the staff at the hotel. I am very grateful for such a wonderful experience, thank you amangalla!

Came here for dinner. The service was excellent but the food was so so. I went for the seafood platter and my partner the risotto. Given the price I was expecting top quality, but the calamari was over done and the octopus was too chewy to eat, although, i will say the seabass was perfectly done. My partners meal was nice enough, but again not great. Overall i would say it left a bit to be desired. Wouldn't recommend to be honest, there's much nicer food to be had at a much cheaper price within old fort area.

One of the most historic hotels of the world, Amangalla is ready to invite you in an era of luxury, aristocratic lifestyle and colonial beauty. Harshana , the GM of the hotel must be very proud of the providing high quality of services , following his predecessors and much prouder for his right hand , our amazing butler … could say friend .. Dammika who was our jewel of our stay there. He organized everything as it is the easiest thing in the world… from private traditional dinners with live folklore music, to spa treatments and afternoon tea. Congratulations to the head of amangalla … but many many thanks to the wonderful staff of that unique hotel. Hope we will meet really soon.

We visited there on a weekend with a group of friends. Hotel, they provide same double room for the triple package and gives a sofa with sheets as the triple bed. That was really disappointing because it was not mentioned when we booked via online and really hard to sleep on that sofa. Had to call repeatedly to get an extra bed and finally got a one after hearing so many excuses. Hotel was crowded during lunch as it was given to a day outing of a company. Lunch was with limited varieties and had a bit of similar taste. B/F and dinner was good. Plus point is all 3 meals were buffet. And specially the happy hour and the entertainment was awesome. Except the triple bed issue, our stay was awesome. Happy to visit again.

Beautiful property and very well maintained. Stunning interior and service is great. We ordered cappuccinos and pineapple gateaux. Coffee were okay but not so happy with the server cakes. Though it’s mentioned pineapple gateaux, it was more

Beautiful property and very well maintained. Stunning interior and service is great. We ordered cappuccinos and pineapple gateaux. Coffee were okay but not so happy with the server cakes. Though it’s mentioned pineapple gateaux, it was more like a pineapple coconut cake or the taste of cake was changed by the coconut sprinkles which used to decorate. And the cake was so dry and wasn’t moist or fresh. And the food and drinks are a bit over priced.

It's inside the Galle Fort. The building was the headquarters of the Dutch commanders and their staff. It was built somewhere around 1684. Hotel is beautifully kept, maintaining the old grandeur. Its a high end hotel. So bit expensive for a ordinary traveler.

Super service...lovely location/surroundings...excellent fish & chips...πŸ‘Œ... I've enjoyed string hoppers with the usual trimmings for breakfast on a different occasion - very tasty...πŸ˜‹... It's unusual when you get to visit a location celebrities frequent...πŸ˜‰...which gives it an added edge...

One of the most beautiful Aman properties and possibly the grand dame of the Galle fort. The building is a gorgeous work of Dutch architecture. The service, food and rooms are impeccable and amenities live up the Aman standard. Spellbinding

Lovely hotel that still maintains the old world charm. Remember this place from my teenage years in the 1990s. The Galle Fort Library is quite close by and has quite a few treasures in it as well. The breakfast at the hotel is a great experience - we drove down from Colombo, especially for it !!

Worst Aman we've been to. Exclusionary and outdated norms of hospitality. Service pales in comparison to the other Aman resort an hour away. Our family was denied entry past the noisy street veranda and even after speaking with the manager were constantly treated/reminded as second class citizens. Not recommended at all.

Was there for cocktails one evening / service was a tad bit clumsy at the bar, minimal etiquette. Menu was cookie cutter. Surprisingly boring for the Amān hype.
