My family and I are originally from Sri Lanka but currently live in the USA. We were visiting SL and celebrating our wedding anniversary on Saturday January 7th so since we were staying in a beach resort close to Galle, we decided to attend Saturday evening mass. The mass was at 5:30pm on Saturday and we were not sure if it would be crowded or not so we arrived early and there was only us and one other family in the church. By the time Mass started, there a two more people who showed up so basically the church was 90% empty which was surprising to us. This was an English mass and the priest spoke perfect English, we had no issues understanding him. At the end of mass, my wife asked if he would be willing to bless us for our anniversary and he gave us a very nice blessing along with my family. He was in no hurry and spent the time to make sure our blessing was thorough and we really appreciated it. I would recommend this church to anyone who is looking to attend an English Catholic mass while in Galle. I cannot comment on masses in other languages because I did not attend any of those but based on the English mass I would assume all their masses are just as nice.

Very beautiful Church in Galle. Went here for a wedding and it was beautiful. They have plenty of parking right down the road from the church. The church itself is very beautiful and has an ancient styled interior. They have a pipe organ upstairs and the choir played really well.

This is the cathedral for the diocese of Galle. You can have a great time with here peaceful calm nature, there is a house of jesuits father's nearby , caritas sed galle nearby and you can have the car parking facility. Great and spiritual place ....

This is the main church in Galle. This church is serving as a cathedral to galle roman catholic diocese. Church is built with black rocks on a small mountain. You can watch galle fort and town from here. Church has old graveyard in colonial era. Church building is old morethan 150 years. Church dedicated to our lady of holy rosary. Celebrates its feast on the second sunday of october each year.
