Sri Sudharmalaya Temple is a buddhist temple situated in the Galle Fort, It's located at the Rampart Street.This temple constructed in 1889.This land donated by Mr.S.A.Wickramasinghe who lived in galle fort these days.A statue of a sitting buddha outside the samll temple faces the sea over the bastion.Inside this temple contains a prayer hall,mini stupa,a large statue of a reclining lord buddha and smaller statues.So many locals and tourists visited this temple because of its religious,cultural and architectural importance.

The Sudharmalaya Temple is a Buddhist temple situated within the Galle Fort, which is one of Sri Lanka’s five UNESCO world heritage sites. It sits at the heart of the fort’s main western street (called Rampart Street) opposite the Clippenberg Bastion. A statue of a sitting Buddha outside the small white-painted temple faces the sea over the bastion. Inside, the Sudharmalaya Temple contains a prayer hall, a mini stupa that dates as far back as 1889, a large statue of a reclining Lord Buddha as well as several smaller statues. There is also a small belfry atop the temple’s prayer hall

Small and peaceful temple located in Galle Fort facing to Rampart street. This temple has small prayer hall, small stupa, big reclining lord buddha statue and other small wood statues. There is a small musium in this temple. There is no dedicated vehicle park for temple. Few vehicles can pe parked on the road side.

If you're a Traveller, you'll definitely need to make it to the temple. Open to all factions of life, the temple has quite a bit of history and the artifacts and statues are of great historical value. Be respectful when entering since it is a holy place of worship
