This is my hometown. The beach is very clean compare to the pther down south beaches. Very limited space, but fantastic for surfers. Anyone can go have a walkon the beach unlike other places.

Small consistent waves for a beginner to intermediate surfer with a soft sandy bottom and also amazing beach with clear water.

recently visited Dewata Beach with my family, and we had a wonderful time. The water was warm and perfect for swimming, and the sand was great for building sandcastles. There's also a small playground nearby where the kids could play. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was - it felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. Highly recommend for families looking for a fun day out.❤️

Dewata Beach is a great spot for surfing! The waves can be quite big and challenging, but they're also a lot of fun to ride. The Sunshine Beach Restaurant is the best place that offer lessons for beginners, so it's a good place to learn. The beach itself is also really nice with plenty of space to set up camp and watch the surfers do their thing...

Hey guys ...... Dewata Beach is one of the most beautiful and serene beaches in the Galle area. The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming, while the soft sand is great for relaxing and sunbathing. There are also plenty of shady spots if you want to escape the sun for a while. I highly recommend visiting this beach if you're in the area! Amazing 😋😋😋

Dewata Beach is an absolute gem! It's a bit off the beaten path, but that's part of its charm. The beach is clean, the water is warm and inviting, and the scenery is breathtaking. I loved how peaceful it was - there weren't too many people around and it felt like my own little slice of paradise. There are also a few restaurants nearby where you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy the view. If you're looking for a quiet, beautiful beach, Dewata is definitely worth a visit.

It's a nice place for an evening walk or to buy fish. You can watch the sunset at the horizon.
You'd see the mountain Ruumassala to the left.
On the other side of the road. Sunset view is breathtaking. 🤩

Great place to surf, specially for beginners.
Safe place and good waves.

Great surfing beach, even for beginners. Not much of a beach to speak of (at high tide it's all under water). There are a number of restaurants along the water where you can sit, including The Shack and many rent boards.

It's a nice place for an evening walk or to buy fish. You can watch the sunset at the horizon. It's an awesome sight to calm your heart.
You'd see the mountain Ruumassala to the left.
But keep in mind you can't swim here. I mean literally you could. But people don't recommend that. I too don't recommend swimming here.
On the other side of the road, you'd find the dinemore and some other restaurants if you wish to have a snack.

Great fun helping fishermen pull in nets. Beware they will ask for money if you have a serious camera..and probably the same for an iPhone as well. The fishermen are interesting and worth the odd 500rps.

Nice beach for learning to surf with a number of surfing schools along the beach. Reasonably priced lessons available.
These aren't resort style schools they are in a developing country so don't expect much from the premises some are shacks along the beach but the staff are polite and friendly.
