This place is located 5-6 kilometers away from Elpitiya town. It's not very hard to find. There are few routes to the waterfall. Best advice is to find your own way or a dog can lead to you to the place. There are paths with clear indications to the waterfall.(white colored arrows). You have to cross two a stream three times. The hike to the waterfall takes about 15 minutes. Go to the third vehicle park and follow the path. The waterfall is about 15m high and more dangerous than it seems. The surrounding is beautiful. The thick cover of foliage resembles a rain forest. There's a natural pool up there. Fragments of glasses can be seen everywhere. So make sure to be extra careful when you walk. And beware of drunks and junkies. Please be kind enough to take everything you bring. There are more than enough garbage up there. Paths can be slippery and filled with leeches.

This waterfall is located in Elpitiya area. Few Kilometers from Elpitiya town. Views are spectacular here. Lot of beautiful and some what authentic views are here. From Parking space you'll have to walk for more than 1 Km to find the waterfall. Actually it's a difficult and challenging one to go there. It's like a thrilling experience with hiking too. Also place is somewhat deserted and not feeling safe around here. So I suggest you to think about security of you and your ones. Also carefully go and come back. Recently some people use to throw their garbage and come back, if you think of the nature please don't do that. Sometimes water level is low. Hard to take a bath.

Very beautiful place. More popular among foreigners. There are several car parking areas and small shops around to have food. Very friendly villagers. Very scenic environment. There's a bit of a long foot path to reach the waterfall. We noticed a few sharp edged tree roots on the way. Need to be a bit careful when walking down. Please make sure you keep the place clean if you ever visits. We saw several water areas down the way to the waterfall. Good place to visit

Just 15 mins away from the highway exit, and it’s an easy accessible spot for a quick dip There is the beautiful villa called villa vibe on the same road when u reach the waterfall, 5 mins away! Perfect place for accommodation!! The waterfall has a 20 to 30 min trail among beautiful jungle with tiny water paths There is a stairway when you reach the main waterfall, if you take the stairs and go up there is a private pool kinda place for you to chill! And it’s beautiful!!

Great place to visit. Beautiful scenery and a nice little path you got to find your way through. Loved it! The only thing that I feel bad about is the pollution the reckless visitors have done to this beautiful place πŸ™

Very beautiful waterfall. Past tea plantations and rice fields. A Gide is highly recommended to find the safest way there. Our Gide was great, always helped us and took nice pictures of us. A small tip (money) is fair. πŸ‘

A beautiful waterfall to see near Galle. You have to go a short distance through the jungle to see this waterfall. This very beautiful and quiet environment heals our mind. The part above the falls is also very beautiful. You can also bathe here. But you have to bathe very carefully.

We visited this place on 21/11/2020 and here's a summery of our experiences and advices. 1. Visit the place as early as possible. Morning times are preferred if you want to spend some quality time with friends. 2. Road to the ella is not much developed. Best to go with a vehicle having minimum 160mm ground clearance(toyota allion) 3. The eco system is very sensitive. Don't shout, spoil or use any polythene, plastic, glass materials on your way. Sadly we saw the narrow footpath had lots of small glass pieces in. Be careful. 4. Parking for vehicles can arrange at near by houses. Those People are friendly. They happily accept some money for the trouble. Usually 100/= minimum per vehicle. 5. If you going to bath, make sure to put your clothes on a backpack and wear some shoes. There is a small hike involved across rocks and wet, slippery rocky places. Best to free your hands and comfortable shoes. 6. Beware of thieving little monkeys. They grab and run any stuff they can. Witnessed some experience. So strictly don't bring any foods. 7. Must visit the place as a group. Don't go 1 or 2 persons as there are some dangerous places to cross and you will need team support in case of an injury. 8. Some places in upper natural pool is deep at 8 to 9 feet so know where you go.

Amazing little waterfall located near Galle. Water level is very low in dry season. There are several places for having a bath protectively. But we have noticed that this place is polluted recently by people and the most sophisticated reason we thought is the intense publicity. Majority of the travelers know the value of protecting nature but some are not.

Beautiful natural waterfall in the Elpitiya area. You can visit there by exit from "Kurudugahahetapma" in the southern express way. There is a natural pool located in the upper part of the waterfall. Nice place to visit.

It is a beautiful waterfall that can be visited after a short walk. Use the natural pool at the top to climb the stairs near the waterfall to bath. Go there and save the environment, leaving only the footprints.

This is a beautiful place attracted mostly by foreigners. It has a long trail down the forest. We can reach up to the entrnce of the watwefall by vehicle. There are several parking spaces down the route. Also there are places to buy food. Villagers are helping visitors. Be careful when walking down towards the waterfall since there were sharp edged roots. Leaches also there. But not much. The route is considerbly okay. Scenic environment

One of best places to have a cool jungle experience with a waterfall. Waterfall is located at a distance of about 100 meters from the beginning of the jungle. The waterfall is very nice and little bit small. Upper side of the fall can be reached through the stairway located at left side of the waterfall. There is a low depth natural pool at the up and you can reach another natural pool of can travel along the water stream further 50 meters. Safe place for a bath.

There is no place. If you come by car, it is about 1 km from the parking place to the waterfall. There is a car park. (Ask from the shop for the route and details) After coming to the waterfall, there is a flight of stairs to go to the bathing place, go up from the left. When going from there, be careful to go over the waterfall. When you go up from there, you will find the bathing place. You can take a bath without fear. , details) Don't worry if there are any leftovers. Be careful if you bring food. There are no photos of the falls, sorryπŸ‘ .

Best option for people who like to do peaceful, small and easy hike and trekking. No too far from the main road. You will find very safety and beautiful natural pools top of the waterfall.

Short trek to the waterfall takes approx 20 minutes(You have to cross a shallow river at two points). I’ve been there twice, the first time: the water levels were high and the crowds were less but when we went recently there were crowds while the water levels were a bit low. Nevertheless, a great experience! Also, be careful when leaving your food/items while bathing as there are lots of monkeys around!! With regards to parking, many locals have opened up their home gardens as β€œparking areas” (paid) so it’s quite safe to leave your vehicle there. We parked at the first parking area and the lady who owned the house was nice enough to let us change in her home! Roads from Colombo to the location are pretty decent too. Would definitely recommend for a day trip.

A hugely stunning location with a solid climb to it (if you don't mind leaches), with a beautiful spring you can swim in

Cool quiet and very beautiful place!!! There are very few people, mostly locals. Locals make extra money by escorting people to their destinations, costing an average of 1,000 rupees. I would like to highlight the Sunrise restaurant!! My son and I ate very tasty and inexpensive. They cook right there, the food is piping hot. I advise everyone to visit.

It is located inland from Elpitiya town. From the bus route, you have to walk into a small ecosystem to see this waterfall. A state that is not regulated. Therefore, there is no need to take a ticket.. you have to stop the vehicles and walk into the forest.. It is your responsibility to take care of what you bring. This waterfall is of medium height and falls beautifully. It is more beautiful during the rainy season and during the non-rainy season, only a small stream is visible.. The waterfall can be walked up and there is a pool there. A tourist in the area can introduce you to a station worth visiting

It was very beautiful experience. Beautiful trail to the waterfall from the village. There are many car parking spaces are available. As well as short eats and beverages can find from the village. Villager are so kind and helpful. No need a guide to go there. Can have a safe bath there. And there are so many fishes, so you can get a free massage also. Make sure to visit this waterfall in rainy season, otherwise no point I guess, since it was drain time there was no much of water. Even to get a proper bath. I dont know why Sri Lankan People are so selfish. they bring garbage to this environment and leave them there. Even no one wants to collect them and recycle in a proper way. So please make sure to bring everything back, you take there. We must protect these type of places.
