The place gets confused with dutch markets, dutch antique shop, dutch fort. This is just a space used for nursery. Well kept, beautiful plants but not what we went for.

Old dutch building built during the Dutch occupation of Sri Lankan coastal areas. There are no entrance fees or permissions to visit. This place is preserved and maintained by the Department of Archaeology. Open to tourists during daytime hours.

An Iconic place in Matara. Has been built in the Dutch - Administration times (17 Century). Can be seen the amazing technology used, and architecture. Great place for Photography.

Nowadays there is no market here. The place is only for some events like exhibitions, sales etc

We were learning courses there which were offered by Ruhunu cultural center. But seems like its not maintaining well these days.
