Ate their Seafood Platter and 1kg Crab Special. Portion was great, food was okay, service is normal. Price is on the higher side. If there is low patronage, you might want to check how fresh their seafood is. Ate with 2 other people, all of us had food poisoning - puking, diarrhea and high fever in the hours following the meal. Beware.

We had a very nice dinner, and got some great cooking recommendations. We tried the curry fish and mango prawn salad. Highly recommended! We loved this restaurant and the chef because they offered something very different, yet local (local twist). Very highly recommended!

Stopped by this restaurant earlier in the day to see if they had fresh crab, they didn’t but said to check back later as maybe it will come in. Sure enough the crabs did arrive and so we called in for dinner. Super delicious chilli crab and fantastic tuna. The chef was front of house because the usual waiter was not available so service was a tad slow but it was well worth the wait. If you’re in Galle this is definitely the place to go for a fabulous meal.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant. Great food. Servers are also great, always efficient, cheerful and polite. Everything is so delicious, you can't resist having all the dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was amazing, fresh fish and good amount, but over all I want to outline the kindness of the guys working there. On our way back to the hotel we took the tuk tuk parked right next to the restaurand and I forgot it there. When I realised I called the restaurant and they managed to find the tuktuk and get my phone back !

We came here for dinner. The service and the atmosphere are really nice. The prices are a bit cheaper than some other restaurants on this street. The food was good but nothing special (we had vegetable curry and shrimp curry).

A colorful atmospheric restaurant. The menu is dominated by seafood. The meals we ordered were a delight. Disappointed only watermelon fresh because of the presence of pieces of seeds in it. When visiting, it is worth considering that the cost of dishes is slightly higher than in similar establishments outside the fort. Overall a good place that I would recommend to visit.

This place is a budget stay with exceeding expectations quality. Make sure to book Deluxe Double Room with Balcony, if you plan to stay here. It has the nicest view at night and early morning. The caretakers Kaveeshan and Jeewan did an exceptional job in catering to our needs. The breakfasts is neat and nice. Great job the Bastille guys.

Simple menu, mostly fish, clearly all cooked freshly - we chose our white snapper that was to be steamed. Friendly causal service and nice music. Definitely a great option for eating in Galle.

After staying in Sri Lanka for over 2 weeks, finally I got to taste the best foods for the first time after long time. Southeast Asians foods taste so different especially Khmer and Thai foods. Eating Sri Lankan foods isn't easy as it seems and that dinner kept me survive.

Not really impressed with this place. I ordered yellowfin tuna and although it was well prepared the whole portion was too small hence I wouldn't recommend you go there if you're too hungry. The menu says it comes with french fries but you get potato chips, that is not the same. Prices are adjusted for foreigners.

A nice Dutch style fort with elegant muslim mosque, catholic church, restaurants, art galleries, souvenir shops in quiet, small streets. Stay away from beach-side if you don't like the crowd and noise. I ordered whole fish dish for lunch at Bastile restaurant. It was nice served by friendly staff at reasonable price. In overall I love this place.

We usually don’t go to the same restaurant twice when traveling as we like to explore new places. But this one was just amazing. We went for just something small because we weren’t too hungry and were sad we didn’t get more. Next evening we had to go again to try more. Ended up having shrimps, calamari and a crab and everything was absolutely amazing for a good price. Literally never had seafood this good!

The place is decent & the room is very clean. Located around a bit of a rush area but no disturbance at all. It is located 1km away from Galle city. Just walking distance to Galle fort. Historical Mansion Museum is situated opposite. The price is reasonable for a stay. And the view is not bad too.

Went with my cousins for dinner. It was late but the restaurant were so accommodating and pleasing. The food was super good and large portions as well. Value for money . Great sea food . Highly recommended.

Lovely place. Staff EXCELLENT. Food SUPER. The family room we got was so clean and well kept. The price for a triple this weekend was so so reasonable includes English breakfast. Simply , Highly recommended.

Had a great lunch here yesterday. People there are warm and friendly, but most importantly the seafood here is delicious. Had the whole grilled fish with Sri Lanka coconut curry sauce and it was fresh, tasty and well portioned Will go back again next time we’re in Galle Fort!

Superb food & great service! Mojito was awesome & so was the fresh pan fried prawns with salad & rice. Staff is really sweet & will do their best to ensure you have a good time. Situated on the happening Pedlar Street in the heart of the fort. Will visit again!!

Had the chilli crab (500g) which was pretty good. They also do fresh cut and fried potato crisps that came out hot (chips if you follow the American system) which taste really good. Decent value for money all round.

Fish was good, but the whole impression was not superior - washroom is located strangely and is itself not in the best condition. No mango juice. Prices are a bit above average. Still can recommend as a good place for a lunch.

Bastille is a Good Restaurant in Galle Fort. The friendly staffs and the dishes are great. When you are visiting to Galle Fort just go and experience with their food and service ☺️

Superb service here. Loved the atmosphere too. We had the mullet (really tasty) and amazing tuna ( I asked for it specifically to be cooked really rare and it was. And it was fabulous ) . Staff are great and we loved this place .

The view from the room is good. The location is very calm. The Staff members (Sugath, Suranga & Bhawantha) are very friendly and supportive. The food is delicious, and this place is famous for crabs. The bathroom needs to be repaired a little bit. However, the place is worth for the money.

We have stayed in guesthouse for couple of nights. The location is amazing. The staff is very accommodating, friendly and overall provided us with great hospitality. The room we stayed was very clean, comfortable and with own balcony. We had dinner at Bastille, as we wanted to try local seafood. We were not disappointed. We ordered squid and octopus dishes. The food was fresh and tasted veeery good. The iced passionfruit tea that I had was amazing. Probably top best drink I ever had 😍 If you are thinking of choosing place to stay or for a dinner in Galle Fort, you cannot choose better than Bastille, top service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have had a very tasty dinner at Bastille. The prawns yellow curry was delicious as well as the fried calamari. You find here a quality of seafood dishes that you hardly find in the nearby restaurants. Friendly atmosphere.

Great place! Visited for 2 nights and it was just me another friend. Two girl ONLY and we felt super safe and comfortable there. The gentleman called Mr Suranga made sure everything was done for us as per our request. And not to mention the rooms and the washroom were neat and clean which was another point that I really appreciated. Worth the price. I’d definitely recommend.

The food at this shop is superb. The service also treats the customs very well. I eat this regularly. Of these, I do not get bored of the special food, fried rice, no matter how much I eat. The other one is nai chili kottu omg it tastes amazing. These are called food stalls. Let's continue to do well.
