Absolutely an amazing place. Not only the beautiful house - but also the staff is great! Super helpful - kind and fast. We had dinner - I was so happy about the fantastic prawns and the service. Stay here. Just do it. Poolside room was the best among all the places I stayed during my month in Sri Lanka. Staff was super. Restaurant service was really slow, but food was good. Lots of dining and shopping options for those inclined. The one downside? The Fort is definitely an upscale tourist-driven and populated area - which I really didn't find appealing. But with local friends to get me out and about to other areas, Deco on 44 was a great place to come home to at night.

Great food, friendly attentive staff. Rooms are large and airy but rather plain and lacking any warmth. Also the curtains are very thin and early morning daylight streams through which is great if you are an early riser but not so good if you fancy a lay in! Seven rooms in total only; we had a suite room on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the street below but didn't notice any traffic noise. Pool area is quiet and relaxing.

A boutique hotel with just 7 rooms, inside the Galle Fort. The art Deco style sets the building apart from all the colonial style buildings in the fort. Spacious room, spotlessly clean. Great pool. Staff were all very helpful. We ate great tasty Sri Lankan breakfasts and 2 enjoyable dinners in the restaurant. We really liked staying here!

Didn't stay here (all booked), but had an excellent dinner at the hotel. Service was friendly and quick (quick, which is rarely the case in Sri Lanka). The vegetarian rice & curry was superb and very filling. My partner enjoyed the five masala chicken. Prices might seem high, but includes service charge and government taxes.

If you are looking to stay overnight inside the Galle Dutch Fort, then this is one of the best places to book. It's a nice little place with about 7 rooms and a swimming pool. Food can be ordered should you choose to have it inside the premises. The only gripe I had was with parking, you have to pull out some ninja moves to get the vehicle in and out of the smaller driveway and it gets harder the bigger the vehicle is.

Rooms are great, breakfast is superb and staff friendly and helpful. Their linguini dish is superb for lunch or dinner. If you give advance notice they can exchange dollars. Very few places in Galle Fort will do it. They can put an extra bed in the front-facing rooms to create a family room. It's almost better than taking the triple room as the main bedroom there is poky with no street view.

One of the best place to have a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast! Just ask for it the day before to be sure 😉 No need to be at the hotel or for reservation, service starts at 7h. A platter of fruit to start, nice tea, great local servings to give a try. We loved it 😋 The price is affordable, service is so nice and discrete, so far the best place to have breakfast after enjoying the sun rise from the fort.
