We were 30 people, we booked 4 nights and spent 4 nights at Wirdana, between January 8 and 12. The place is gorgeous and architecture of the villas is really cool. However the service is terrible. Here are some of the negative things we encountered: - The staff tried to help but didn’t speak English. The manager wasn’t helpful at all. We had to call and ask for basic things all the time and couldn’t get anything in time (like soap in bathrooms, new towels, room service, cutlery in the villas, water bottles, etc.) - breakfast was below average. They eventually discounted the “extra” eggs we ate, but compared to Sri Lankan hospitality, this place gets 1/10 - the villas were nice but no service, no cutlery, no plates.. we thought we could at least make a drink in the villa but it was impossible. - the location is far from anything and there were not always tuktuks waiting. - AC in rooms either freezing or shuts down, and staff couldn’t help - electricity kept going off every time we two showers are used in the same villa. Could be the power load is not adequate.. - we tried to book taxis through the hotel and the manager always gave us x2 prices, saying it’s “high season” and “holidays”. We travel around Sri Lanka for the past 8 years and never had such problems. - overall the place is beautiful but the staff is not enough, not well trained, and the manager is arrogant and not very helpful. I told him everything I wrote here and I gave the feedback, which he had explanations for, but this is what we experienced. Overall we had a great time with our friends (of course, it’s Sri Lanka 😃) but we expected a lot more for the 6000$ we paid!

Me and my girlfriend spent a couple of days at Wirdana during our trip to Sri Lanka and we couldn't be happier with the experience. The location is great and less than 5 minutes from the beach. The rooms and villas are in a quiet and luxury private area making it the perfect home away from home during our holidays. We spent most of our time relaxing in the swimming pool, enjoying the delicious meals from the menu ( we loved the Avocado Boat) and taking our daily dose of massages to relax our souls. We will definitely be back later in the year with some friends and our stay at Wirdana was one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka

This resort is ideal for a quick getaway in Galle. It has separate villa type accomodations which has 4 rooms big living area, kitchen and a veranda. The rooms are clean and nice and the bathrooms were big clean and nice as well. Four of us stayed in a villa and we really liked the bar like kitchen setting. The swimming pool is long and really good for a night swim

Beautiful place with large, clean rooms and shared spaces! The staff were very accommodating and helpful as well. The meals we had were also quite good with a unique twist on some classic dishes. And an added bonus to the animal lovers: They have the sweetest band of cats and dogs there! Overall, an excellent place to stay for a couple, a family or even a group of friends just hanging out for the weekend, and so reasonably priced!

Relaxing and tranquil, only 15 mins tuk tuk from Galle. Service great, with very accommodating and friendly staff. Food nice and beautifully served. We were the only guests which is a shame. Sri Lanka needs our support right now.

The place is nice , staff are good , room is shady ( very ) , food is good , area full of dogs and cats , if you leave the room door open simply dog will enter , he tried to take more money than he supposed. No blanket was there .

Nice minimalistic, zen like rooms with wooden flaps instead of windows to let light and air into the room. Food is excellent. Breakfast and dinner both were very well presented and very tasty. 10 out of 10 for the culinary experience. Staff was very friendly, nice and helpful. Good location to stay with kids as there is a lot of space to run around or play in the pool.

We loved our stay at the beautiful resort near Galle. Large villas with a lush green garden. Very nicely decorated rooms, the friendliest staff and the food was the best we have had in Sri Lanka! Thank you for having us!

Depend on my clients, Brilliant place for relaxation but not to explore Galle. No food. Only rooms not sure with breakfast or not. No chaufchauffeur driver accommodations atleast nearby. Tiney Narrow road towards hotel . If you are on big vehicle call before you enter to the road.
