👍 A very unique experience. It’s like camping in a tropical jungle, actually that basically what it is! Rain water showers, home grown food. It’s pretty awesome. Staff are super chilled and welcome. Had a more the merrier vibe to it. Of an evening most guests and staff would chill and chat, cool group... People often mention good,

A very unique experience. It’s like camping in a tropical jungle, actually that basically what it is! Rain water showers, home grown food. It’s pretty awesome. Staff are super chilled and welcome. Had a more the merrier vibe to it. Of an evening most guests and staff would chill and chat, cool group dinners and make cocktails. If you like the outdoors I recommend Camp Kush.

One of those special places you encounter while backpacking! It is not called Camp Kush for nothing! Amazing place to socialize and hang out while monkeys climb above. Like all others I ended up staying longer than planned (several people stay to work too). A far walk to the beach though, no warm water and no lockers - but what do you expect, it's in the jungle :) Just go, you will not regret it!

I think this is the worst hotel I have ever seen . The whole place looks extremely dirty , including the kitchen . We were given a mud house to live in and the toilet , sink , and the cover to keep out the mosquitos smelled horrible . Again, the place is infested with ants and mosquitoes and you will definitely leave with a few red marks . The place is run by hippies who were really nice if I were to be honest but there was certainly a lack of professionalism. Similarly, the place is very far away from the Unnawatuna beach and the owner seems like a big con man.We found rooms half the price with much better conditions and service closer to the beach than this dirty hotel . The WiFi sucked and there was NO warm water available .If you value your hygiene , cleanliness and hate people being stoned or drunk around you then don’t go here .

A place connected with nature. The concept is really interesting, a few rooms only, literally just a bed and a net for mosquitos. There is a main kind of cabin that had tables and sofas, you can listen to music, read, eat. An included breakfast and a dinner service that is a vegetarian buffet. Amazing wifi and really kind and nice service. Only bad things, it's far from the beach, to walk it would take about 40 mins and the price, which is 20 something dollars; in the rooms you can literally just fit bed and a backpack.

Owner is very friendly and helpful person. He makes you the best coffee in the world! Place was ”different”, in a good way. Teepees are okay to sleep and outdoor showers are fun to use. Owner also makes very, I mean very tasty food! Well worth a visit!

Quality of private room was terrible. Mosquito net was provided when asked for but it was to short for a double bed. We had to ask for towels and toilet paper, they were not in the room when we came. The matress looked so bad that we were disgusted to sleep on them. Good points. The common area is really chilled, relaxed and the owners are nice. After we complained we were not charged for food and drinks but it doesnt take the point away that quality of the room was bad. I guess if you live a rough backpacker or hippy lifestyle you will like this place otherwise I wouldn't recommend to stay here.

The most chill-out place in all Sri Lanka. Never have I've stayed in a hostel with such a good vibe before. Everyone there will treat you like family and share whatever they have. Thank you for being my home and my family!

This is a real chill hippy place to relax. It’s super social. Sleeping in teepees is cool- but ours was equipped with an old dusty fan that blew debris all over. There are outdoor showers but two of them are so short if anyone is next to you they can see you bathe. Which is fine if you’re not a shy person. Bring plenty of mosquito repellent- they are EVERYWHERE as there is a swamp/lake on the propertyAlso there is no real reception and it took a while to get checked in. Breakfast consisted of an omelette and toast with butter. It’s real chill here they run on island time. The volunteer Oscar was so sweet in showing us around.

An quiet place in the middle of the mangroves. It has lively undertones most of the evening and you're welcome to join in but be aware you'll be accompanied by millions of mosquitos the whole time. Plenty of books and games available to enjoy. The menu seems a little on the expensive side with a ten minute walk to any local restaurants and a thin waffle with a small banana is what makes up the free breakfast you receive. All in all it's just for the novelty of staying in a small palm teepee.
