We love this little place in Galle fort this April. Such a lovely place with charming guest rooms and loggia opened to a lush garden. We stayed in a family room with poster bed downstairs and a loft for kids. The breakfast was much more than we expected!

We had a great experience staying for 3 nights at Mango House. We had the family room no.4 , spacious for a family of 4 (can easily fit 4 adults). The staff were friendly & kind. We liked the breakfast (especially the mango juice & fresh fruits).Location is perfect too, near all the nice restaurants and shops.

A lovely, colourful and quirky space in the heart of Galle Fort. The staff were happy to help with any questions. Our room was nice and clean and had a lot of light coming in through the windows. The garden is a lovely space to hang out in, especially on a hot day. Since the property is down a by lane, you are able to also have a bit of quiet time away from the hustle and bustle. Great spot! :)

I was the only guest at the hotel and they offered me a free room upgrade to the one with balcony! The staff were extremely friendly and hospitable. Though they usually serve breakfast at 8 am, for me they made an exception and served a lip smacking breakfast at 7 am. I have stayed in many hotels across the world and rarely do people go out of their way to serve their customers. The interiors were also very good. I highly recommend this place of stay at Galle.

We are much grateful to Mango House crew for making our stay more amazing and precious. It was a quite lovely time we had in Mango House. The Villa gives us chronological & historical feeling, for a moment we thought we were back into British Ceylon period. It has lovely & simple garden which gives us peaceful thoughts in mind. We felt peacefulness from the beginning since we step into the property. Mr.Thilina who is the owner of the property offered us a good price and helped us a lot. Also, we must mention that owner is very generous person who upgraded our stay. We must give 10+ for their service and hospitality. Rooms are clean and ventilated. The premises is in center of the Fort, therefore, not got much disturbance from the outside. Very easy of travelling from the location. I would recommend the Mango House without any hesitation. And of course, I should have to mention the Manager and Mr. Lal for their helpfulness. Thanks again for your hospitality.

We waited over 20 min for our drinks. despite i ask for my icetea three times, i never got it. the srilanken Panini was very very boring and the added cucamber „salad“ was 5 slices of a small cumcumber. my firends pineapple curry was the smallest portion i ever saw. the prices were not justified. The location is nice.

We had one night in Mango House and loved it! The rooms are super clean, and staff are really nice. They helped organise transport for us, and the complimentary drink upon arrival was a nice touch. The outdoor garden area is a nice relaxing place out of the sun.

A very nice place to stay for a night in Galle. Small cosy garden. Large bathroom, balcony, mosquito net over bed, tea facilities. You can choose from English, continental or Sri Lankan breakfast. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back here.

Mango house is a lovely place to stay in the Galle Fort. The house has a large mango tree in the garden, as you enter. Rooms are comfortable with attached bathrooms. Everything is clean and the staff is very friendly. We stayed for one night on bed & breakfast basis. Food was really great. The mango house is situated in the Leyne Baan Cross Street and as the pamphlet at the room tells it has been constructed during the colonial times. You can still see the floor and some doors having those historical marks. The living area is adorned with Hindi movie posters and in the rooms you can see Hindu gods' pictures.

Nice ancient house in Dutch built old Galle City. Good rooms and excellent breakfast. Many restaurants in the vicinity for dinner.

While we were utterly charmed by the lovely old house and the colourful decor, and found it to be very comfortable, the booking site did not have a price tag and we ended up paying way more (nearly 4X the rate sinular establushments wete charging ) per night, charged straight to the credit card. Nice as it was I personally found it to be way over priced. Breakfast choices were very limited and the Sri Lankan breakfast did not include any of the staples. Stay here but check the price tag carefully before giving your card details.

Mango House's decor is what struck me most, from the wooden Lounge Chairs to the Paintings, it has been thoroughly thought of. The rooms are stylish, spacious and bright, equipped with AC units and fans. The place also seems to follow a more environmental approach : from the open areas allowing light to pass during the day, to the non-use of plastic items in the Hotel. A Definitive plus that other Hotels keep neglecting. Staff is polite, helpful and effective. Wifi is Free of Charge. Last but not least, the breakfast is delicious and complete with various choices for different tastes. As mentioned in the title, Mango House was my second home for 2 nights.. My only regret is not being able to spend more time. A Must stay Boutique Hotel if you are in Galle

Mango House was the perfect place for a post pandemic getaway! The staff were friendly and attentive, the building itself was spacious with adequate ventilation, and we felt both safe AND comfortable during our stay. The location was ideal as it was close to the highway and within Galle Fort, so we had easy access to a wide variety of restaurants and sights. We had a great time! :)

Upon arrival we were treated to cold towels and a non sugary mango ice tea. We were then upgraded to an upstairs room with a balcony as it's low season. The staff and owner were very helpful and gracious. There were tea and biscuits and books and coloring books in the hall, a very chill and relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, it was multi choice. I had fruit and omelette with roti, tea and fresh coconut water. Oh and the bathroom was beautiful and had natural organic toiletries, so nice! It was a perfect stay after a 24h journey.
