The staffs were great here and it is right where the turtle beach is and all the shops and restaurants. The buffet was also good. We enjoyed our time here. However, the room itself was not so good. We got the corner suite but the window was dirty and the floor was not quite clean either. The hotel can really do with a bit of updating as the air conditioning is quite noisy and you also have to leave the noisy dehumidifiers on. The review to beach was great and sleep with the sound of the waves are priceless. The price was really good with you get! They even made gluten free options for us in the buffets. They were also very sweet to let us do late check out at 3PM. We also get complimentary wine and fruits.

We had a wonderful stay here. While the hotel is a bit older, the rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The sea view from our room was stunning, and the beach itself was incredibly picturesque. We were treated to a breathtaking sunset. The buffet meals during our stay were a delightful experience, offering a wide variety of delicious foods. We noticed more tourists than locals, but this didn't affect the outstanding hospitality of the staff. Highly recommended!"

This is an excellent hotel. The location, food and service is great. The lovely young man who cleans my room, Uditha, is also great. He is very polite and does a very good job on my room. Stayed for 2 nights full board. Food was excellent. Everything as expected. Rooms were fine with the ocean view. Superb service by housekeeping. My special thanks to the most friendliest staff I have ever met including the security personnel 🙏..... pool was excellent too. Best beach, surrounded with a reef. Highly recommend this beach for children. Great value for the money spent......!!!

Stayed here for 2 nights. Doesn’t live up to being 4 stars. The rooms are very old, specially the bathrooms. The balconies aren’t that great either. The windows are too foggy from the humidity. Just didn’t like the overall aura of the room. It didnt smell the best either. Too many ants in the bathroom. The receptionists weren’t that helpful either. When asked if they can help to arrange for a taxi they sent us to the concierge which didn’t seem to be willing to help much either. The attitude in general wasn’t very friendly. The pool is nice but the grass area with the sun beds is very dirty with tissues and cigarettes on the ground, and there was no service provided. The only good thing about this hotel would be the food, everything was tasty, the desserts were amazing. Kudos to the chefs and waiters there.

We had our last vacation in Hikka Tranz recently. The hotel rooms quality was not good when comparing with other Cinnamon hotels. Management needs to pay more attention to their rooms quality & facilities. Other than that all the things were best. Without any doubt you can have a great time in Hikka Tranz. Food was excellent. There was a very wide range of buffet dishes available. Garden, pool, beach & everything was perfect. You can spend a great holiday there! Highly recommended!

Very good food! Always choose cinnamon for their food. Rooms are minimal but comes with nice views. Friendly staff. Beach is amazing with plenty of space to swim and sea bath and whatnot. Pool is big and has spots where u can hide away during the day under the shades of the trees. Overall great place and my go to spot for a quick getaway. Hope they improve on their food 😍

I spent time with family, and we had a great time. Great swimming pool with bar and changing rooms and their maintenance is good. Great food and services. I felt that theirs kitchen had good hygiene practice. Kids also enjoyed their food without any hesitation. Good selection of wines available.

This is one of the best hotels I've been to, from the moment I held the phone to make a reservation till I handed over the key at the reception at check out, the service was on top notch. The atmosphere and ambiance made our stay more enjoyable and relax. and a special thanks for arranging all the surprises I asked for, for my Dad's birthday.

Great spot for vacations. Rooms were clean, tidy and were facing the sea side with a nice view. Room spaces are of medium size, not too small or not that big. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The buffet had a wide variety of food and food was delicious. The swimming pool is large enough. Prices can be stated reasonable.

We visited a hotel that boasts a stunning sea view. Our main purpose was to try out their buffet, which included a diverse selection of mouth-watering dishes. The hotel offered two packages, one that included access to their pool and evening tea, while the other package was solely for the buffet. The hotel is located near Turtle beach, which is renowned for its sea turtles. Visitors can catch a glimpse of these gentle creatures and even feed them.

We stayed a night at Hikka Tanz and we had and amazing time there. Location is superb rooms with sea view. Mostly we went celebrate my mother’s birthday. Staff were exceptional. Service is very superb. They have Nicky arrange a cake with candles they brought it to our dinner table. Speacl thank to CHAMILA who works at dining area. She handles everything with special care. Also she always come with a great smile. Also other staff members prinakara and others did a good services for us. Highly recommended this place. Specially the staff members are very good in what they do. Will come back again.

Food was great. We went on a Saturday and had dinner and breakfast. All the meals were buffet. Loved the view from the room. Bathroom is a bit small.

We stayed 1 night on full board. The hotel is in a fantastic location. The beach is lovely. See turtles and fish can be seen closer to the shore. The garden and pool are very nice. Very friendly for kids and families. Food is extraordinary. Rooms are a bit old. But we'll maintained. We had a good equipped room for Superior Ocen vista category. Fully satisfied. It was value for money

Checked in on a Sunday and still they had buffet even on a Monday. Great variety of delicious food. Staff was very supportive and friendly throughout the stay. Great view from the room. However, was not very happy about the quality of the room. The bathroom was very very small and has not maintained properly, as most of the items were broken including the bathroom shower. Expected a much better room compared to other cinnamon hotels but honestly was a little unhappy there. Rooms should be renovated very soon and please consider the factor "SPACE" or the customers will soon be disappointed. All in all, a great stay at a beautiful atmosphere.

We have stayed in this property for our summer holidays. The location is bang on, they have perfect beach view and easy access to beach. The swimming pool is huge and clean. We were travelled with our 3year old daughter and the dinner buffet was not suitable for her, Mr Khan the Chef quickly made khichdi for her as per our preference, serve freshly cooked Parantha and immediately set instructions to his staff for morning breakfast too (for the baby). The staff is very friendly and accomodating. Thank you Mr Khan for going above and beyond to make our stay memorable at Hikka Tranz.

We were welcomed to the restaurant by S. Roshan he was very kind and helped us to find the best dish they have. It was a mix of the best fish (I leave a picture below) and it was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, we will definitely come back very soon! 👌

As soon as we arrived at the hotel we received a warm welcome by Mr.Pubudu who I think actually made our stay at this hotel 100 times better. Needless to say every staff member was friendly, polite and respectful. We were able to see roaming sea turtles and tropical fish soon as we got to the beach. It was surreal. Would definitely visit again.

We stayed at the Hikka Tranz on a full-board basis for 2 nights. The rooms and service of each and every staff member are commendable. The food was up to standard, but the variety was a bit less. It was a yummy meal we had. The ambiance is amazing with the great pool and beach. Hats off to all the staff members who were really attentive.

The outside of the hotel looks bit older but rooms are clean and spacious. The location is 11/10. Sea view is amazing at the every corner of the hotel. The pool was nice and clean too. However the check-in process was a disaster. It took more than one hour to get us into the rooms. The overall experience was superb.

Friendly and very attentive staff, served us a welcome drink as we entered, the security was nice too. A very beautiful hotel with nice architecture, and squirrels,pigeons roaming freely makes the place 10 times better. Food is nice too. Try their crab restaurant if you're a tourist, a little pricy, but its good. We did not book their rooms as it was crowded during the long weekends. However highly recommended.

Beautiful location and comfortable rooms. Staff were all incredibly friendly, in particular Sampath one of the breakfast servers, was very attentive and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Seeing the turtles come up to the beach and having them brush past as they swam by was a once in a lifetime experience.

The staff are all friendly and helpful, especially house keeping. Sashinda always cleaned The room immaculately and any requests were always fulfilled. He always left special touches like decorative towels and flowers on the bed. He is very pleasant, accommodating and pleasant.

Hikka Tranz is a nice hotel - we had a memorable stay there. The food was excellent & had a good spread. Kids loved the buffet very much. The entire staff was nice & friendly. Room was just basic & nothing special to say about it anyway. The pool was nice but bit crowded. Great hotel but I think that you'd better avoid it over the weekend(specially the long weekends) since it'd be extremely crowded & i personally experienced it. OMG! for the check-in process, we ended up waiting for more than 1 and 1/2 hours. Anyway, I would definitely recommend this property for all.

Best Hotel in our entire 15 days trip to Sri Lanka. Breakfast is nice. Pool is nice and big. Service is decent. Best part about this place is you can if you are lucky swim with giant sea turtles feed them and get as close to them as possible. This is a unique experience and a rare one to be so cose to such a magnificent animal in the wild.

The buffet always lives upto the standard and always has been my favorite place to have buffet. They have an exceptional quality array of food and they are full of flavor. There’s all types of meat and seafood and all types of cuisines. Even after the pandemic reopening their quality is the same or even better. Ideal to come for mid week or weekend lunch or dinner buffet whenever available.

One of the best places with warm and friendly service. Rooms were clean and had a super view towards the sea. And the beach by the pool was awsome and there were sea turtles in the shore. Food was again delicious and it was worthy yo visit again.

Went with extended family, was not happy with the hotel, one of the rooms power was not there from 12.30am till 5am. The bathroom water kept flooding into the room. Flush was not working. Food variety was less and not the best. Breakfast spread was good. Swimming pool is good with a kiddies pool. Beach spot was very good. Have to improve their bedrooms. Not Upto the usually cinnamon standards

It was a pleasant time period that we used to stay this hotel. they had friendly staff and service also great. Specially the beach area around the hotel is amazing and we saw baby sharks, turtles and also you can touch & feed turtles if you like. The only disappointment is food variety was not enough, specifically the range of dessert items are really poor. Other than that it was a good stay!

Our holiday at Hikka Tranz was great. Enjoyed the pool and the view the most, and the food was great, too. Really nice hospitality from everyone present. However, it would be better if the lights and air conditioners were kept check on. Due to the situation our country is facing these days, seeing the lights and fans working in places where its not needed was not comfortable. The air conditioners and lights of the waiting room at the reception were switched on when nobody was there, and we spotted some balconies with lights on in the noon. If this can be maintained, it would be a great support for our own country. Just an idea, but including wordings in Sinhala on the signs would bring up our identity to the tourists who come over to stay. It would also be great if the recreational area was more open to the outside, where guests can feel free to come to, as we had to ask the receptionists for its location. Overall, we had a nice vacation, and we enjoyed the beach a lot. Thank you Hikka Tranz for the wonderful holiday! Best of luck!

I've been here twice. The rooms are old and in need of refurbishment but the staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet is amazing with a wide variety of dishes and desserts. The swimming pool is big enough for all the families to use it without becoming too crowded. You can also see turtles hatching and their baby turtles swimming to sea which is an amazing experience. The location is superb too. It could be the perfect getaway if only the rooms were refurbished.

Overall a very nice 5 star experience. The value for money is very high here. However it's a hotel that is built for scale so don't expect super personalized service. Yet, there is nothing to complain at all except for the rooms. Rooms could have been a little better in terms of size and other facilities. Overall it was a wonderful experience

We were vacationing at the Hikka Tranz Hotel in May 2022. We really liked the hotel! The territory is beautiful, there is a swimming pool, a bar, a lot of sun beds, and they are all new. I especially want to mention the kitchen, everything is very tasty, a varied menu every day, thanks to the chef and all the kitchen staff! I also want to mention the hotel staff: all our requests were instantly fulfilled, and all this was done with joy and a smile. The staff is very friendly! Separately, I want to mention the work of the manager for working with guests, his name is Dinushka. The person is super professional, knows several languages and solves any task quickly and efficiently! We thank him for making us comfortable! We 100% recommend this hotel for a comfortable and beautiful stay!

I think their lunch buffet should have added more things, the menu is very limited. rooms with the ocean view and the attached balcony were excellent. Sick, sick 4 star hotel that is nearly 5 star for me. Buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner is pretty satisfying. Has a pool and a volleyball court. Rooms were pretty good too. And there is very good security. Will hopefully be back

I did stay two nights. The location and the layout is excellent. Very polite and enthusiastic staff. The variety of food during breakfast is quite good, but if you stay for a number of days, then would be the same throughout your stay. I dinned at the seafood restaurant, it was fantastic! Rooms very clean and with view of ocean. I would definitely recommend this place specially with family!

Good hotel. Very friendly staff. Good and tasty food. Wonderful turtles, squirrels, monitor lizards, parrots on the territory of the hotel. Also saw many small reef sharks Our daughter was sick and the hotel staff brought food to her room, very attentive people work there. The only thing I would like to pay attention to is small garbage on the beach (plastic spoons, bags, bottles), I found a glass from a bottle in the sand, a child could step on this glass and cut his leg. It would be nice if this place could be cleaned a little better.
