Dangerous people. More a scam than a business. They gave me a damaged board with broken leash and they wanted me to pay for a new one and very expensive one. When I said that I would pay for a used price one they locked the doors of the business, turned Off the CCTV cameras and started calling friends to come over. Luckily I was there with a local friend and we were able to mediate the situation. Please don’t bring business to these scammers. It’s full of better surf shops within meters better boards better prices better people

This was the worst experience I ever had on vacation! Please don‘t go there. When we arrived the room was not super clean but still alright. They put a third bed in the room. During the night the frame of the bed was falling apart and in the morning more parts were falling apart. It was only below my back and feet but if it was my head it would have been really dangerous. We went down to talk to the owner. We could not explain the story normally for one second. He started screaming at us immediately even though we wanted to pay for that one night. He came really close to us and shouted at us I thought he was about to hit my friend that was how close he came. My other friend started crying and he looked at her and said „don‘t talk to me like that“ even though she was just crying. When we wanted to escape he shut the door and we said we will call the police because we got even more scared that we cannot escape. He then opened the door again and we were able to leave. Please don‘t go there especially as girls we felt really unsafe and it was a horrible experience.

We stayed more than two weeks because we liked it so much. The host Sampath was really nice and helpful and helped us organise a trip to yala national park. Also the rooms are clean and spacious and there was nothing I missed. Close to the beach and also nice boards. Would totally recommend!

We stayed at Cocoplant for almost a week and we had an amazing time! Sampath is a legend who will help you out with all things surfing, eating, exploring etc. They have some really nice boards to rent at an affordable price and the rooms are great too!

Cocoplant is a guest house perfectly located across from 2 of the best surf spots in the area. The chill atmosphere and friendly staff have created a space that fosters a community vibe. I loved my stay here and feel part of an extended Cocoplant family. Will definitely come again.

This year it’s been my second time at CocoPlant. I stayed 2 months and a half each time. It’s a great place to stay with two amazing surf spots just crossing the road. Sampath, the owner it’s a lovely and caring person, he always help you with whatever you need. Staff at Cocoplant is the same, they just make you feel home right away. I’m really sad every time I have to leave. See you soon brothers and one more time, thank you for everything.

stayed there for 2 weeks in november place is perfect for surfing and enjoying the south of sri lanka. Host was enormously friendly and will heyo you organize all your activities including safari, scooter rental, laundry and gives his professional advice on the surfspots nearby rooms are super clean and are equiped with all necessities. thanks again

Amazing location to surf. Right in front of Plantations and Coconuts surf spot. Rams and Lazy left also realy close by. Good and cheap rooms. Some with sea view. Surf check from bed ;) booked for 5 days. Stayed for 2 months. The staff is super welcoming and will do everything to make you feel like home. Board rental, Tuk Tuk service and Scooter rental available. Awesome place to stay. Highly recommended :)
