Moon Light restaurant offers delicious food with generous portions that are worth the price. The prawn soup, brown onion soup, wraps, and spaghetti I ordered were all flavorful and well-prepared. The soups, in particular, were a highlight of the meal. The service provided was satisfactory, with attentive and friendly staff. Despite the small size of the place, it didn't hinder the enjoyment of the food. However, an area for improvement is the lack of card payment acceptance. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to consider introducing card payment options. Overall, Moon Light restaurant provides a tasty dining experience

We love the food here very much because of the unique taste and freshness. I highly recommend this restaurant for seafood lovers as they have a variety of sea food plates. You can also have some cocktail or liquor as they do have the beverages too. One of my favourites is the hot and spicy crab dish which they serve along with steamed rice. Seafood fried rice and batter fried calamari are also delicious. Although the food they serve are pricier, taste and the portions are worth the price.

Excellent food. Menu is extensive and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Definitely fine dining.We loved our Dishes of Battered prawns With Salad and Chips together With A Mixed Fried Rice! Highly Recommended❤️

Unfortunately the food wasn’t tasty and the variety in menu is poor. Overpriced. There was 5 prawns in the curry (!!!) for more then 2000. In other places u could get giant portion of rice curry with variety of bites and really big amount of seafood in ur plate fir 1700. In comparison to other places the service is not good also, the staff don’t pay attention or interest.

Great restaurant! Had some crab for the first time here and the waiter helped us figure out how to eat it. Garlic prawns also beautiful, Friendly staff and nice food

At the beginning I requested the rice with less oil but they served a fried rice which is much oily. No taste & I didnt even eat. Big no if you expect any customizable food.

Had a Chicken Sandwich. The Quality and presentation was horrible. Dry old chicken pieces including sharp bones and couple pieces of union on dry bread. In addition I got sick from eating here. The staff and atmosphere was okey. But I did not have a good experience.

We were served pretty fast, Moon light special sea food plate 3000 Rs) is really good and it s enough for 3 people (or 2 if big eater). Tourist friendly Edit: Probably one of the restaurant you absolutely have to go if you are in hikkaduwa Edit Aug 2018: closed for repair call before going !

Extremely fast service and very tasty food, enormous portions for fair price. Very friendly staff and available late evening meal. Recomend!

Moon Light Restaurant atmosphere is cozy and intimate, making it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner. The menu is diverse and offers something for everyone, but the seafood dishes are particularly outstanding. Overall, I highly recommend Moon Light Restaurant.

Bland food coupled up with absolutely mediocre hospitality.The English breakfast served was the worst I've experienced -had to oder separate sausages ( the breakfast consisted of 3 slices of tomatoes, watery eggs plus butter and jam for toast - the coffee was just passable) just to have a decent meal. Not worth the effort.

Good food and the drinks. Sea food rice can be shared among two. Excellent customer service.

Delicious cuisine. Seafood soup is actually a very tasty crab soup with seafood :) The portions are very large, if you are not used to eating a lot, you should think twice when ordering the soup and main course. An excellent seafood plate that is best ordered for two. Fairly quick and attentive service. The menu is available in several languages.

Reminiscing our recent 10 days trip around Sri Lanka abundant with great food along with friendly people and lots to offer / do... Lucky that we had a great foodie guide who brought us to lots of delicious local eateries. Moon Light tops our list on best place to dine for seafood!!! Fresh, yummy and value for money. Grilled red fish, tiger prawns, devilled squid, vegetable chop suey, fried rice & salad for ~AUD20 per person. And it’s BYO. We’ll be recommending this place for frens heading to Hikkaduwa :)

Seafood was nice, but a bit too salty to my taste. The service was a bit random and slow in serving drinks and food, especially if you order food that is not popular. However, they made a great effort to get a very nice birthday cake for my friend.

It’s a nice restaurant but I feel there’s better options, specially near the beach. We ordered the 5 curry option. Not impressed much. And it took almost an hour!
