Very cozy place to have your evening meal in! Nice atmosphere, they have plenty of tables to sit on so you can always find a place to eat in there. They do live accustic music and have Lion lager on draft! ( l think draft one is way better then out of can). We ordered 2 chicken burgers and they were made in less then 10 min! Food was very appetizing!

Great place for lunch. We loved the pizzas and the juices. The weekend markets are really nice with a variety of stalls. Staff are very friendly! They also have a croquet lawn which was entertaining! Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful place and good food. But the prices are in dollars even for locals. So the price is very high.we had 3 fresh juices, 2 beef Lasagne, 1 fish burger and 1 pizza cost around 50$, approximately 18000.00 LKR. That’s way over for a locals. Also they did not accept Amex when we pay (their payment issue, Visa debit accepted)

A hyped up place. Service was below average with unfriendly staff for the most part. The first night we were there, we witnessed an altercation between the security and some people trying to get in. Very limited variety of alcohol. Not sure where they are produced as the spirits brands were unheard of hence we had beer. The pizza was below average. Everything is priced in dollars but didn't think the prices were reasonable compared to other places. Not sure if this is a place I would visit again as the overall satisfaction was dissatisfying. The best part of visiting this place was meeting some cool people.

The food is rather tasteless. Service isn't really opened to client wishes- no matter what you wish for. 2 of 3 dishes missed several Ingridient. there was no apology or clarification, there was a try to lie to us and telling that "we don't understand" that it was there. obviously a tourist trap with no consideration for their reputation. not recommended to eat here, for that prices you could get a much better food & service

Many people had mentioned this place, aawhich piqued my curiosityg, but I found it to be rather underwhelming. It's a popular spot, drawing both tourists and locals alike. They had live acoustic music playing, but it didn't quite match my expectations. Perhaps this isn't just another restaurant, but the atmosphere here didn't resonate with me. The food, in particular, lacked flavor for my taste buds. It wasn't spicy at all, suggesting they might cater more to tourists who prefer milder dishes. The service felt somewhat self service oriented, and while the place had a nice ambiance, it left me wanting more from the overall experience.

Expensive, european, clean and absolutely not traditional Srilankan. We really enjoyed this location. It was a great change after all the small Curry, Roti and Rice shops. Great pizza, we did not expect to get such a tasty piece of italy- but go for the basic margherita, I would not recommend all the other crazy variations:) The restaurant on the balcony was great. Probably only place with good drinks in whole Srilanka. Also the cuisine( yes in the rooftop restaurant I cannot call ot just a kitchen) was fantastic! Pasta was very basic and would not recommend. Overall the atmosphere was fresh and “surfy”.

I give 5 stars for the Wednesday party, amazing music and very nice vibes, everyone was enjoying themselves. I find the drinks and food quite expensive, just cause I'm traveling on a budget. Western good food, very lovely staff. :)

A great place to stay or laze about in the garden after you've done swimming with turtles at the beach, or gone surfing. Had a great time in the laid back atmosphere and cool tunes. Highly recommended

Went for dinner and a dance, didnt stay in the hostel. Dinner was lovely - mostly western food rather than local. The place lights up on a Wednesday and Saturday for a party...Great venue, brilliant dj.

A good place to party , but need a bit more options in the food section . A lot of pizza options which was good and live music is always good by the beach with a dance floor .Early bird gets the best seat and there option to sit down with a mat .

One of my favorite place in the south west cost. I had a wonderful stay. Right next to the beautiful Madiha Beach. I loved the fact that the city is not too touristy. They have live music and DJ on staturday. Check out the coffee shop where the serve the best coffee. I loved the vibe of this place and the staff. I definitely recommend and will be back. ❤️

This has been our go to spot in Madiha! Such a nice vibe. Great and fast service. We loved the Nachos, chicken burger, and tandoori chicken pizza also they’re desserts are amazing! Although we are not vegan, we enjoyed some of their vegan dessert options like the chocolate mousse cake! It is a bit pricey compared to other local spots that are a bit better on the wallet. But we found it to be worth the price!

The rooms are genuinely terrible for £8 a night. No AC and it’s boiling, you can’t turn the open bathroom lights off so it’s light all night, the shower is just a tap with a colander over it. I thought I’d book a hostel to meet more people but i should’ve just booked a private room nearby for half the price and gone to the bar in the evening.

Great location, but the food is way below average and is not worth a relatively high price. Pizzas were overcooked and with minimal filling. Great views over he ocean though.

The location is about the only good thing I can come up with for the Doctors House. Visited a couple of times. Once to the coffee shop, once for breakfast and once for dinner. The barista is passionate about the coffee and wants to offer a lighter roast espresso as well as the pour over but sounds like he’s at a dead end. I had a dark roast ice coffee, it was ok. Heard it was owned by Aussies so the coffee should have been bang on. For breakfast we had the breakfast burrito and again was just average. For dinner we ordered 3 pizzas and nachos with pulled pork. My pizza, the tandoori chicken, was really lacking flavour and they all had half the amount of toppings. The nachos baffled us all as the pulled pork came separately on a plate. Apparently due to the fact that the guacamole and sour cream would make it cold even though the nachos are covered in cheese and put in the pizza oven then loaded with the cold dips anyway. Never seen that done anywhere before. Overall I do not get the hype. Maybe the owners have made their money and now don’t care about the quality of their products anymore. Unfortunately all the serving staff were stood around the pizza ovens chatting and every single one was on their phone. Complete overpriced tourist trap. Won’t recommend and won’t return. Very unfortunate.

Big thumbs up 👍 because my picture is here. I have not tried the whole menu. The prices are high. The pizzas look fancy and amazing, the coffee and tea leave much to be desired. Great place to dance and have fun. And there is no other place like this in Sri Lanka so that makes it special.

The improvements made to this establishment are truly remarkable, after coming here a month or so ago. It's amazing to see the impact that customer feedback can have on a business. The owner's dedication to improving the overall experience for their customers is truly admirable and shows a genuine care for customer satisfaction. The polite and attentive staff only add to the positive atmosphere and make for a much more enjoyable dining experience. The smooth delivery of drinks to the table is just the cherry on top, making the entire process effortless and stress-free. Overall, I'm blown away by the transformation and would highly recommend this establishment.

Beautifully designed club area and a pleasant international audience. We were there for a live band, which covered various classics in a really great way. The atmosphere was accordingly great. The prices for drinks are perhaps reasonable by western standards, but are far above the average in Sri Lanka. When leaving the area, the tuk tuk drivers were exceptionally pushy.

Saturday night the place to be. Live band, good beer and market. The catering is charged in USD with the spiralling rupee this is a bit annoying however they take card so you can avoid. Got some great stalls who charge in rupee. Your bags are searched on entry for alcohol so be clever/inventive. Free before 4pm

Amazing food. Huge portions and excepcional ingredients. Parties during the season. Definitely coming back!

Queued for a while to order drinks, told no tabs and not the place to order drinks (despite looking like a bar and having no signage otherwise). Told to go “over there” to another building where I went to order drinks from the coffee shop- no milk at all. No card payments either and no tabs again. Was told I need to go back and pay in advance for drinks at the first bar, telling them what I would have, and then return with receipt to order it. Then I would have to pay separately for the food at the first bar, then take my seat and wait. Suffice to say, we didn’t wait around. Very hyped placed with insanely overpriced food and drinks. Tuktuk drivers were vultures who tried overcharging by 50% for the same journey we had just taken to this disappointment.

Too much expensive! They are charged in dollars. It's not worth it. We ordered fish burger and pizza. Fish burger was okay but pizza was horrible. Top of the pizza was burned and under part was uncooked. Dough also not so tasty and they definately not know to cook.
