We had a super lovely stay at this guesthouse until the owner insisted we take his tuk tuk to our next guesthouse instead of taking a PickMe. He refused to match the PickMe price and insisted on a 2x price. No one helped with getting our bags out and the owner followed me to the street to tell the PickMe driver to cancel the ride for me (thankfully he did not). This was easily a 5 star spot until the PickMe incident. It was so uncalled for, so uncomfortable for me, and so unlike Sri Lankan hospitality.

Loved this place! It’s a cute cafe and hotel hidden down an alley in the fort area, with great food presented like at a gourmet restaurant. We stayed here two nights and loved our room even more than the meals—the four poster bed, the recently renovated bathroom, and the balcony space, as well as the historic feel of the space. The location is fantastic as well—just a minute or two walk from the nearby fort walls and other historic sites, as the hotel is right in the center of the historic district. Loved this place and would come back again!

Very good and tasty breakfast. Pineapple Juice was fresh. Portions however could have been bigger given an average hunger and the average price for it. Service was good and friendly. Overall a recommendation.

Great stay here, the same owner with Dream Villa. Compare to dream villa, I will not choose this place. Cause the room layout is not good to across, but it’s quiet than dream villa, inside of the valley. If u wanna twin room, then here. But for family or couple, choose dream villa, the price is same and more like high class hotel.

The place is amazing and very beautiful. The upper floor is wonderful and has a seating area with a wonderful view of the old houses. The only drawback is that it is isolated in a lane far from the center of the area, and if you forget the way, my sweet one, you will be happy and healed in the street! 🤣

Really affordable 3 course breakfast. The curd with treacle to start was delectable. The fruit platter was next, which was nice and refreshing. And lastly was the traditional coconut pancake, it is an acquired taste. I actually wanted the western style pancakes like the pictures we saw. Nonetheless, quality for the value is worth the visit.

Horrible, dirty room. During my entire trip to Sri Lanka, this was the dirtiest room. We arrived at lunchtime, left our bags and went for a walk. We returned too late. And only then did they see how dirty the room was. The bed linen was dirty with stains, hair and some crumbs, it was not washed after other guests. It also smelled like a stranger. The towels were very smelly, like washcloths. There's a cobweb on the ceiling, a cobweb on the window. The crumpled toilet paper was not in the toilet, but on the bedside table. The soap holder is broken and rusted. The mosquito net is not white, but almost black with a huge layer of dust. The toothbrush cup is dirty and full of debris. There were none of the stated accessories: a kettle, soap, etc., everything was missing. In general, this is a terrible disrespect for guests. It was very unpleasant to spend the night in this room. I give one star to my grandfather, who, not knowing the language, always tries to help, even though it’s difficult for him. Basically this place doesn't deserve any stars at all.

Looks like a lovely place but they ran out of food (for non boarding guests) by 9.30-ish this morning. Update: It seems they do not cater for people not living in their guest house at all. They are not a café at all but a guegu house.

I believe this is now only a guest house and no cafe available. This place is in an incredible location in the fort, close to the lighthouse and beach, along with several restaurants and shops. The room is small bit is well maintained, there is a balcony but it's facing a building so there is not much use for it. The room had a mini fridge, hot water and AC, but the Wi-Fi didn't work for the two days we stayed here.

One of the best places in Galle Fort to have a wonderful breakfast. We ordered pancake and coconut smoothie (which is like a açaí bowl) and they tasted great! The sweetness and the sourness is balanced really well. The coffee has a little burnt flavor inside, do add some milk before drinking. P.s: the passion fruit in the smoothie is a little too sour, but you could keep that there since it is not blended inside the smoothie.

Very friendly and family guest house with its good and bad sides: the owners live in this property so the children also have the games and the atmosphere that goes with it. The room is nice, it had all the comfort we wanted (air conditioning, hot water etc.) For the price it was very pleasant and the location is ideal if we put aside the small alley which made us feel cold the first time and the humidity which reigned in the room when we arrived.

Sssssh, it's a secret. Loved our stay a Secret Palace. Cute little guest house tucked away in the streets of Galle Fort. Highly recommended. Not only is it great value for money compared to other places within the Fort, they offer beautiful rooms and great breakfasts.

This is a beautiful home in the heart of Galle Fort, walking distance around the fort. It's very safe and located in a quiet street. There are 3 levels in the home and many rooms. Rooms are big, the one on the top floor has a balcony and there is a lovely terrace to hang out. Bathroom is nice, hot water, ac, fan and fridge with kettle room. The children are lovely always saying hi to guest. Great vale for money, definitely recommend.

Not for me anymore...room dirty, mosquito net with holes and dirty. Little space in the room, no storage space. No view from the balcony. Breakfast normal.
