I needed to make a present for my mom for a holiday, and I was looking for a long time where I could find good quality stones ... especially since during the quarantine period the store works differently, and the purchase was ONLINE! The seller and I talked about what’s up for about a month, and he sent me different stones (photo / video), but everything was not right. When I found the stone, I thought this is it !!! And I asked the seller to check the stone in the laboratory that I would like, there were no problems. The seller then quickly dispatched the stone and paperwork and everything came in perfect condition. I recommend and will order more. Thanks Irshad.

I have had a mixture of custom made and off the shelf gems from this lovely family run business over the last few years. Originally I visited in 2016 but I ensured on my recent trip in 2023 to make the journey for some jewelled treats this time also. They have a lovely friendly service and only the best service and quality. I would highly recommend them to my fellow travellers and precious gems 💎 connoisseurs. They are situated right outside the famous lighthouse and if you message ahead they are happy to prepare for your needs.

Highly recommend! We stopped in to look at the Ceylon Sapphires and were immediately greeted and shown several different rings.  We were not really in the market to purchase any jewelry but decided that since we were in Sri Lanka, where better to purchase a Ceylon Sapphire?!? We could not decide between the Royal Blue and Padparadscha stones and ended up buying two rings. There was no pressure or harrassment (I think they were surprised we wanted to buy two rings). The jeweler was totally honest and immediately disclosed about an inclusion on one stone. We left with two beautiful rings and feel like we paid a very fair price.

If you want to buy genuine stones or jewellery from a lovely family run business that has operated here for over 40 years at fair prices, then this is where you should go. I am immensely happy with the service I received and the necklace I bought. We purchased a beautiful 6 carat (I think!) aquamarine from Lihiniya who then set it into a diamond band. The ring is stunning and we're so happy with it. The team were very knowledgeable, super helpful and had an incredible collection of gems. We'd been on the hunt for a good sized aquamarine for a while, but this was the first time we found the right size/shape. It was also a very quick process compared to jewellers in Singapore who were estimating 3 months plus.

This was a great experience. I was there with my sister who was looking at stuff, didn't have any intention of getting anything personally. Lahir and his staff were very friendly and showed me some earrings (started to get interested). I wanted something particular which he did not have available in store. Lahir took the time to ask what I wanted and drew up something right on the spot! I liked the idea and he said he would send it out to delivery in Panadura when it was finished. This was near the end of our trip and we were passing through so there was definitely a time constraint. He pulled through and I had my freshly designed earrings delivered to me! It felt great to have them custom made. I really appreciated his honesty, and the level of interest to design something on the spot (really shows he cares about jewelry). The service and advice was very good. They are transparent on the quality and origine of the saphire (if not sure that i comes from sri lanka they will tell you). Buying saphires here reassures you a lot with respect to the other shops in the neighbourhood. PS:I will give your contact to my friens in Spain who has a jewellery.

I loved the bracelet that I bought. Every gemstone was carefully chosen and was exquisite and was affordable and the staff were very attentive to my needs. The delivery was prompt and they sent me correspondence from time of process to delivery. I would recommend their service to family and friends.

Can't say enough great things about this jeweler!! I thought I had written a review back in 2019 when I bought my first pieces - pink sapphires. Beautiful set that I continue to receive compliments on. Fast forward to 2021, I get the IM indicating they found my gorgeous yellow sapphire that I mentioned way back when. Really. After visiting Lihiniya Gems and purchasing several items in 2018 we decided to have a ring made for our Daughters 21st Birthday in March this year. Irshad was fantastic to deal with and we managed to come up with a design to suit. I bought my first ring with white sapphires 5 years ago. It was not easy to choose among other shops, but I am absolutely sure in this shop till today. Twice then I came to fix small things in a ring (I lost some stones), to clean for shine. It is all for free🙏🏽 And this year after pandemic pause I came to bye a new ring - with a big beautiful white sapphire. The personal, the management are very intelligent and are good professionals. Beautiful blue sapphire ordered from overseas

I came into store after emailing some specifications of rings a few weeks before our holiday in Sri Lanka. (Review TripAdvisor for more detailed reviews) I was welcomed by friendliest team and the manager Irshad came and discussed rings, he was very patient as I ended up changing my mind after seeing the most beautiful blue spinal and a handful of other wonderful jewels. He had got white sapphires in an unusual shape in especially for my ring even after only email communication so they were ready when I arrived in store. We discussed both rings and how I wanted to wear them (stacked so the top ring was more difficult to made as it needed to be fit perfectly round the bottom ring) this was not a problem, Irshad called his goldsmith to double check on the specification. We were kept up to date with the progress of the rings through Whatsapp which was great as I was very excited. We only had 2 days in Galle and were moving to Bentota for a few days, Irshad delivered the rings in person a couple of days later. I could not be happier, the rings are perfect. Exactly what I asked for and even better! Thank you so much, I can honestly say I will be back to buy more brilliant jewelry and would 100% reccomend friends and family to trust in this wonderful family run business. My friend and I visited this store on a few occasions whilst staying in Galle to buy some gems. The quality of the products was first class. I purchased a ring made up of various gems which is beautiful. My friend purchased an aquamarine stone and peridot earrings. The people were a pleasure to deal with. I need to return very soon.

Only place to go in SRI Lanka if you want genuine high quality jewels and customer service is second to none - i know I've bought some - the negative reviews in my opinion are trolls and should be ignored - miss it miss out

Did lots of research about where to buy gems in Sri Lanka — and was thrilled to come across Lihinaya. Fabulous customer service, and were able to create a ring for me next day once I chose my gemstone. They were super helpful finding something that was within my budget, as well as the colour and shape I wanted. Super super happy with the final result, a gorgeous yellow citrine octagonal gem on a 14k gold ring. Because we had left Galle already, one of the staff actually drove the ring to Weligama to hand deliver it to me! Amazing!!!!

Extremely professional, swift, and yet incredibly kind and personal service. We visited during our honeymoon and had a pendant made from a stone we picked out - it was ready overnight, and even delivered to our hotel in the next town. I haven’t visited this store. When I traveled to Sri Lanka back in 2019, I saw this store but didn’t have the chance to visit. I’ve been wanting to buy a ring for awhile, in addition to my signet gemstone ring. There are a lot of stores here but when it comes to gemstone, I preferred and only trust Ceylon Gems. So I looked online and gladly found Lihiniya Gems website and talked to the guy named Irshad via whatsapp. I was pleased with the service I received at this store. Irshad is very professional. He exceeded my expectations. With the quality of the gem and the service from this store, I highly recommend it to everyone. Will definitely purchase again. :) Thank you.

My daughter recently bought me a blue sapphire ring with matching earrings which were immaculate. The team at Lihinya gems were very professional, they resized the ring for me at no cost and ensured that it was delivered on time for my birthday. Not genuine. Like a cinematic strong

I am living in France and ask Lihinya gems for a tailor made ring . We chose together the stones and the design of my ring. It was easy to appreciate the gems quality and what my ring would look like thanks to photos and videos they sent me. Once the ring made, i was able to ask for some tiny change . I eventually received my Perfect ring at home and was very satisfied by the result. I highly reccommend Lihiniya gems !

Fantastic jewellers. I wish I could show you the photos of what I purchased. My first purchase was 2 rings that I had seen on their website. They did not have them in and made them, but even better. The ring was a double layered ring, but Irshad suggested making 2 stacking rings. One from blue and one from White sapphire. They are beautiful and can be worn in several combinations. We were so impressed we asked Irshad to replicate a diamon necklace that I recently lost. Irshad surpassed himself. The necklace is stunning. Polite, customer focused, contacted regularly to tell us what was happening, went out of his way to make things happen in a small time frame, great advice and competitive pricing. What more do you want?

After meeting this family about 5 years ago and purchasing pieces in store, I’ve ordered many pieces from them direct to the U.S. I love, love, love my new sapphire and diamond studs! The price was amazing, and look at that blue!!! 😍 I also had a stunning pendant custom made. Other pendants caught my eye, but I wanted a different color stone. So, Irshad said “Yes, let’s find you a suitable one.”I was given several to choose from and picked a perfect ruby - exactly what I wanted. I love to wear my pendant with black to show off the shine! Lihiniya’s website is super easy to use and makes it fun to shop, even from home. They answer any questions about the stones, which come with certification, and they alway send me extra photos and keep me updated via What’s App. The jewellery always arrives safely and insured. My mum and I have ordered from Lihiniya to the U.S. at least 4 times, and we are always so happy with our jewellery.
