Quiet, comfy, firm comfortable beds, fans in room. Not sure about AC rooms. Nice garden courtyard area. Tables and chairs outside each room for drinking, smoking, relaxing. Good value for money in very peaceful street close to everything and 5 min walk to Galle bus station, cricket ground and train station, lighthouse, fort walls and ocean.

Lovely place, Lovely people.. Food is mainly Sri Lankan. Very tasty traditional Sri Lankan rice, curry and sambol. Food is served as buffet. Pastries and other short eats are also available. And drinks like fruit juice, carbonated drinks and water. Nice and friendly customer service.. Old beautiful place.

Homely stay, amazing location right in the middle of the dutch fort. Surrounded by a garden looking fantastic. Owners are friendly and helpful. Great hospitality. Great value for money.

What a surprise, when you walk in your walking into what feels like someone's house, we then found we were eating in their backyard. The service is a little slow but very friendly. You won't get much more fresh or home made then this. Look around and amongst all the trees are some of the fresh herbs used in your meal, really great value, we got the curry banquet and could not eat it all. Don't let first appearances put you off, give it a try

It's a family run business in galle fort. The owners are very friendly and caring. Rooms are well kept and very clean. Foods are tasty, specially the fruit juices. And they have one of the best juice bars in the area. If you are looking for a safe and well kept place at a reasonable price, Old Dutch House is the best in the area.

It's old, but old Dutch houses are. Clean room with a surprisingly nice bathroom. Rooms are set alongside a garden, and each room has a table and chairs outside. Friendly staff and very good Wifi. Excellent location in the middle of the Fort.

Great value for the money in the center of the old Fort, but very quiet at night, all attractions in short walking distance. Here we found a real little gem, family run with 3 or 4 guest rooms. You got a good working AC, clean room which has sufficient space for luggage, clothes and even a desk inside. A romantic mosquito netting framed bed which is cozy for a good night's sleep and even a hot water shower. All very simple and a bit dated but somehow charming. You got a nice little green courtyard with several tables and chairs where you get your optional amazing, tasty and huge breakfast and delicious Sri Lankan coffee or tea served. Nice to hang out. The owner family is very friendly and helpful. When we came back, we definitely would stay here again.

Our 2 night stay at the rustic old Dutch house was delightful! Beautiful and very generous home made breakfast was amazing, and our hosts were friendly and welcoming. The rear courtyard had an amazing ambience especially when it rained the first morning. We were also able to park our tuktuk off street in an on-site garage. Excellent location in fort area,, highly recommended and great value!!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

It was a wonderful stay over Pongal weekend. The hosts are kind and generous. The accomodation is neat and comfortable. The location is perfect to explore Galle Fortnand all tourist attractions. Must stay!

They warmly welcome me at first sight. Room conditions are worth for prices we can select a room with AC/without AC I got a non-AC room. The room had an attached bathroom with hot water facilities. The cleanliness of the bathroom is outstanding. Truth be told foods are very tasty. I can give 100/100. All food is prepared in front of us and the kitchen is very clean.

This is an awesome place with great Food (Rice & Curry) and really friendly owners. They also have rooms you can stay in. Highly recommend going here.

Nice place to get a room for a night. both air conditioned and normal rooms are relatively affordable compared to the other rest houses in the galle fort. Washrooms are nicely maintained. Rooms are greeted with a beautiful indoor garden. the owners are friendly and helpful. refreshments including soft drinks can be bought inside the house. Morning tea is included in the price.

Excellent low budget accommodations right in the middle of Galle Fort. Very convenient. No nonsense rooms, comfortable beds, very clean. Had a delicious omelet for breakfast. Kingsley and staff were kind and helpful.

Stayed in the budget room but was great for what we wanted. Friendly hosts, perfect location and mosquito net for peaceful sleep. Laundry service was good.

I stayed here for 1 night last night. The owners were so warm, kind and helpful, and always with a huge smile. My Room was spotlessly clean and comfortable and there’s a lovely green internal garden you can sit in away from the bustle of the fort. I had the dinner buffet which was delicious and had a big assortment of vegetarian and fish dishes. Excellent value for money right in the centre of the lovely fort.

Best place in fort , highly recommended

Very quite and comforting place in Galle Fort. Very easy to find. It is right next to Spa Ceylon Galle Fort. Friendly and lovely owners. Mr. Kingsley and his wife, they always treat you like family. Food is great. It has got variety from short eats to lunch buffet. Fried rice, noodles, anything you like, they will provide you. Rooms are also good with clean attached bathrooms. AC is available. Hot water is there also. As it is located in the middle of Galle Fort the distance to all major places such as the light house, food city express, ATMs inside Galle Fort is about 300meters max. More importantly it is located about 80 meters awa from the famous Isle of Gelato. Truly worth the money you pay.

You can taste fried rice for low price in the galle fort. Customer service is good. Highly recommend that place.
