unfortunately the food was not satisfying. the bread is of poor quality and the tuna is very dry. the noodles with pesto were swimming in oil. the soft drinks were no longer carbonated.

Only time in my life that I walked out. Here is why: - staff seemed slow and uninterested - my wife's drink was forgotten on the counter u til I went to get it - we got the glass we asked for only after we waited for a while and I went to get it myself - we were warned that food will be 45 minutes late but after almost an hour and half we still didn't get it - couple eating next to us had a cat jump on their table and steal their food; the waiter did nothing after they complained - the cat jumped again and the couple complained again and only then did the waiter act In the end we walked away and staff was dazed by it. I could have waited there for 2 hours had the service been good kind, attentive, supportive, polite, and such.

I don’t know what these guys are doing but it seems they don’t care about their food and the health of their customers. The chickenburger was half raw and the fish in the fish and chips was black inside, which seemed rotten. They did not care when we let them know. Might happen a few times a day. Furthermore the service was not Sri Lankan like. Slow, not really friendly. Great place to end the holiday in a disaster. On the plus I have to note the hotel looked very nice.

Restaurant-wise there's a shaded quiet courtyard. We had a lemon mint ice tea and tried to get a smoothie but there was no more milk???

If you want to die of food poisoning, this is the ideal restaurant. After our drinks came 35min after the reception it went on with the food. We ordered the tuna wrap and visually it looked very appealing. After the first bite I had to almost throw up and wanted to report the restaurant almost because of bodily injury!!!!! The location was quite ok 👍🏽

Came here for dinner. Lots of waiters, everyone is always looking to assist you resulting in fast service. Even when the place was full we didn't have to wait more than 15 min for the food. Great drinks, at affordable prices

Poor service and they should consider changing their chef. Ordered a pasta, fish & chips and a prawn dish. Nothing has slat or proper in it! When inquired the answer was this is how it's served! The prawn dish was suppose to have "Tiger prawns" but instead we were served 5 - 6 medium sized prawns. Will not recommend to anyone known!

Travel from India, galle as our fourth destination, the place ambience was pretty appalling thought it would good place to dine. Had order pizza, water melon juice and French fries. It was one of the worst pizza and juice we ever had. The pizza was blunt with few dried chicken pieces even wonder to see the bones in it. So far in my line never had chicken pizza with Bone. Couldn’t advise for any one waste their money.

Don't let the atmosphere fool you - food is an bombastic catastrophe - the tuna which the waiter assured is fresh looked like puked cat food and tasted even worse. Drinks were good but took time.

The ambiance and live music (in the evening) was unmatched across peddlar St. Had a fantastic time. Staff was very friendly and hospitable, they even helped me call for tuktuk at the end of the night. This place is a must visit when you're in Galle. I would recommend chef to add a few vegetarian options on the menu and that's the only feedback I have.

Nice vibe and friendly staff. Sadly the food is heavily over priced, leaving me no choice but give one star. We are a family of four and we ordered a prawn curry, a Hawaiian pizza, a beef burger, and few drinks. (Drinks were not expensive tbh). And the bill was a shocking Rs 11000/- For that kind of price we are getting way more quality food at The Fortress hotel where we are staying at the moment. So, be very cautious what you order at this place.

Guys y’all really need to pay more attention on getting your pizzas taste something. Cuz last time we dined, the pizza was bland! Just bland. Not worth it at all.

Waited for about an hour but the food did not come. Asked them to check twice but they never got back to us. People who ordered later got their food first. We eventually decided to cancel order - I doubt our food was being prepared when we left. Such a shame cos the dining environment was nice and they had great live music.

The service is attentive and friendly but the food was very bad. Chips crazy salty and the fish was absolutely dry and not tasty at all. Pricey too.

The food was delicious 😋 and the cocktails was fabulous. Location is absolutely amazing. Staf was soo friendly. Worth a visit 👌

Happy with the atmosphere, Locality and staff yet quite too much cost for locals. Parking issues incur. Walking distance to galle fort. Good place for casual photoshoot.

A good restaurant to visit if you are in the Galle Fort looking for a good place to have a meal. This place is quite large in size and only outdoor seating is available which provide a good vibe with beautifully decorated atmosphere. There is light music played here all the time which adds up to the experience. The food is great too with great value for money with reasonable portions at an affordable price. Nice place to visit and chill with friends or family.

The food is just average, the service is the worst!. We had to call the waiter for every single thing. Food was given and no cutlery. Waiters are least bothered & busy on their phones. Go to some other place instead. This experience spoilt our evening.

Excellent Pizza! ~ Definitely recommend if you’re visiting south-west Sri Lanka, make your way to the fort (old city) of Galle, and grab yourself a pizza at this vibey restaurant on the trendy Pedlar Street!

Food was not tasty and small portion. Not worth for the price and old bread. Not recommended.

The food was delicious. We ordered a chillie chicken with cheese kottu anf a pizza. The chicken was heavenly. The only drawback is there was a limited selection. No seafood was available.

Over the past eight years I've stayed three times in Frangipani and would always return. Very friendly professional operating family provides modern and spacious rooms in two buildings of each sites of the street in the absolute center of Galle Fort, just next to Barefoot. A really nice classical hotel with a great energy and somewhat colonial charm. The rooms are all a bit different and come with nice windows and a kettle. WiFi works well and the garden area is also great. Behind the second, older building you'll see why the hotel is named Frangipani.

Beef burger was very good. Chicken burger was little raw but on request they made second one so we are fully satisfied.

Service is terrible. Food takes more than one hour to serve but charges excessive service charges for terrible service.

Very clean and good rooms for a reasonable price. Enjoyed the stay. Checkout time was 11.00 AM

Good location and nice staff. The rooms are moldy, not mildew, black mold. Pillows and walls were covered in it and woke up both mornings feeling like I gotta get out of this environment. If you are staying here just check the walls and pillows before you sleep.

Very central location in the Fort if you're on a budget ask for the cheaper rooms across the road which are still clean and comfortable.

This a clean and tidy hotel located within easy walking distance of most historic sites. The rooms are basically but adequately furnished. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Such an amazing place to eat staff is excellent and you get a taste of home every time you go I highly recommend this restaurant thank you for a great experience

One of the best restaurants galle located in the Dutch hospital area, nice atmosphere sitting outside in the garden and friendly staff. We ordered burgers with cheese and it was tasty.

Enjoyable stay. nice room and bathroom. The owner wasn't familiar with the card machine but we figured it out together 😄 good air-conditioning and van!

Clean room, comfortable bed and an okay breakfast. The workers weren't the most friendly people I've ever meet but they were OK and the location is perfect for visiting the Galle fort.

It was ok. Somewhat better atmosphere than most places around Fort but with prices to reflect the tourist market. The usual +10% service + tax making it always more than expected or in this case, justified given the standards.

This place is a scam due to its pricing and portion size. The food and drinks don’t come together and take a very long time to come out. We came as a group and they did not serve us all together. I also ordered a chocolate shake and it came 30 min later. This is a spot just to scam tourists for their money. The food is very subpar as well. Im just overall very disappointed that we payed over 2200lkr per dish and received the most subpar tasteless food. Please look to improve how you bring food out together or get a menu that doesn’t require so much time for how little you give. My grandpa received a pasta that tasted burnt. My aunt ordered food and it hasn’t come at all even after everyone has finished eating. She had to share her food with her husband and the food had a hair piece in it so they both couldn’t eat. Please improve the quality of food. The shakes and milkshakes were good. But the food and service was very disappointing. After a long bus ride we came here just to be dissatisfied and disappointed. I hope you take my thoughts into consideration.
