There's a reason why this place is always packed, the pizza is so good that you'll believe you've somehow been transported to Italy for dinner! Just look at my pics and I can assure you, it tastes even better than it looks. The restaurant was clean and homey, the ambient music wasn't too loud or distracting, and the restroom was nice as well. Furthermore, they had a good list of Italian wines to choose.This place is an exceptional value-for-money and a must to eat at in Karapitiya. I hope my readers find my review and photos helpful.

The best pizza in Sri Lanka, very tasty, fast and not expensive! Great staff. Pizza is cooked in a real wood-fired oven. While waiting for food, you can play billiards.

Gedara by namesake gave a warm experience. Nice ambience , welcoming staff and above all , all items on the menu were available ! That is a rare virtue in the gastronomical culture of Galle. The large pizza was excellent. I chose Gedara Special topping. You get what you pay for. Definitely recommend !

This place has some activities to kill the time till you get your meal ready. Pizza range is different and flavors are really good. Recommend for a person who would like to try Sri Lankan flavors in a pizza.

Amazingly cosy set up. Can have your meal chilled and relaxed. Nice set up, calm music. At night it is so warm to the eyes. Food adds up to the compliment it self. Not less,not too much. It hits the taste buds nicely. Staff is so friendly and helpful. You can see how ur food is being made, pizza goes in and out of the clay oven... Happy food - happy vibe. Thank you for the service.

Hands down the best thin-crust pizza I've ever had. It's delicious and fresh, and you can obviously tell there are no artificial flavors there. The prices are reasonable as well and definitely worth for the value. And now they have a billiards pool table too!

A well maintained clean restaurant. Staff was really polite and helpful. We had pol roti (පොල් රොටි) with pork curry and that pork curry was one of the best I have ever had. For the preparation of food they took some time. There is a pool table where you can spare that time. There is no much space for parking but they will arrange you some space to park. Overall my food experience was great. Believe that they will reduce the delivery time.

Inviting ambience, unique taste. It takes some time for preparation as they use fresh ingredients. Placing your order about an hour before arriving can help those who do not want to wait. But the wait is worth the taste.

You have to park your vehicle in roadside which can be little risky. If you gonna takeaway pizzas from here either use a car or take your own bags to carry pizza because they dont provide suitable bags. I had to buy bags from outside which was embarassing .Honestly think the owners are missing a trick here. Overall a it was a good experience , thus will rate this as 4 stars

they got Delicious oven baked pizza. Ordered sea food large pizza for 1800/= take away, But they didnt have shopping bags at the moment and I coukdnt take it from bike so i had to go back and take the vehicle to get pizza. Owner promised they will provide bags soon. Since the pizza is thin when you compared to pizzahut and dominos, large pizza might not enough for two people.

ගෙදර is a very nice and calm place for people who would love to taste a wood oven pizza. Tasty pizza. Customer Service was excellent. Gayan was very loyal and presentable. He took my Seafood Mix pizza order by phone while I was on my way. When I entered he recognised me and offered me a hot water to drink until my pizza ready. Highly recommended to anyone! #gedara

My friend told me about this cool local restaurant with great pizza, music and vibe and we've been waiting for it to reopen. I noticed they were open tonight so I popped along to check it out. Although the famous pizzas weren't available the food did not disappoint. I ordered the Pol Rotti with chicken curry. It was made fresh before my eyes and it was delicious! One of the best I've ever tasted! Great food, great music, great vibe, lovely owner and staff. Highly recommended!

Pizza, Spaghetti Cabonara and Rotti are all very delicious and freshly made. The prices are very reasonable and it’s easy to pre order ur meals via WhatsApp if you don’t want to wait for it. The atmosphere is super relaxed, always good tunes playing and you can use the time waiting for your meal playing pool. This is my favourite place in Karapitiya!

I've been lucky to eat at some of the best restaurants throughout the world and Michelin starred restaurants too, this gedara, galle could easily be a Michelin starred restaurant, the food was so on point with the flavours and presentation, I couldn't fault a single dish. The restaurant has a modern but and authentic touch to it. The staff are great and easily approachable, we did have to wait a little long for our main course but good food is worth the wait. Well done! I believe If you keep up with the amazing work sooner or later you will be.
