Overall we had a great experience with Pearl Divers, I went with my friend on a fun dive with our instructor Ranga who was very helpful and thorough with instructions and setting up our equipment. He led our dive and we saw some amazing marine life! Would recommend.

Never go here, especially if you are beginner. I went snorkelling here on 31st December. I love sea and water sports but after going snorkelling with their team, I ended up being afraid of sea for few days. We went in person to do a booking a day before, they confirmed the booking. When we went their on the day of booking, we were informed there is no booking. Bummer! They anyway rushed us with the group going, for a minute I felt that we are in middle of an earthquake. In the boat, they rushed us in and when we had to enter the water the instructors were rushing as if we are gonna die if we don't jump. In frustation when I opposed it, the instructed told me, "you know how to swim, do it on your own". What a disappointment!!! Few instructors on the boat were kind enough to spend sometime with me since it was my first time but the experience was already spoiled. If you are going Snorkelling with them and don't know how to use a snorkel, you better not go at all because they don't give any basic instructions and are in a rush constantly. They assume we are born divers. Waste of money and time.

Best diving centre in Sri Lanka, and we definitely have something to compare with! Good quality equipment, friendly and accommodative staff, professional divemasters and most outstanding dive cites all over the island!

Pearl Divers, a scuba diving company near Mirissa in Unawatuna, provided excellent instruction during our dive. However, the underwater visibility was somewhat limited, impacting the overall experience. Despite this, the staff exhibited great professionalism and were incredibly supportive throughout the dive. Their guidance and assistance made the best of the situation, ensuring safety and comfort for the divers. While the visibility issue was a drawback, the dedication and helpfulness of the staff at Pearl Divers deserve commendation.

Best place to get scuba diving. Excellent teams for training and guidance. I enjoyed scuba diving with out knowing swimming.

It was a wonderful scuba diving experience to explore the beauty under sea. These guys were absolute professionals and the instructors are also very friendly and helpful. Definitely try it out guys. Its actually safer and enjoyable than you think. ✌🏼

Doing my PADI open water dive at the Pearl Divers was the best decision I ever made. All the members at the dive center treated me and my husband like family members. Mr. Florian, the dive instructor, is super friendly and professional, while the main dive instructor, Mr. Dodo, is funny in nature and accommodated me and my husband during our 04 days stay with delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I had a skill session, more than 05 hours in the pool until I mastered all the relevant skills. That was fascinating. They do have instructors who can speak English, Sinhalese, and Tamil. Therefore, this is the best place for all Sri Lankans from every corner of the country who are willing to get their dive licenses. I would highly recommend this place even to foreigners since they do have fun dives, Open water, Advanced Rescue Diver Master Scuba Diver Night dives, Wreck Dives, and other water sports.

We spent our Open Water at Pearl Divers! We were delighted with the seriousness of the center, which must be the most professional in Unawatuna. (All the centers are in the same place in the bay). The only one to have a pool in the center on the beach and facing the bay for the first dive. (The others going from the surrounding springs). Special mention to Delphine, our French instructor based at SL :) Thank you for your patience with Gaby and me! We loved your professionalism, you gave up nothing so that we left with our Open Water in our pockets and could discover the aquatic wonders of SL! And it wasn't that simple 💪

Super happy with the dive course I did @ pearl divers. Good equipment, good communication and a lot of personal attention. Professional staff, flexible in hours and very trustworthy. Salin (my instructor) made me feel comfortable and knew the sites perfectly. I did my advanced dive course there and I could not be more happy. Very professional. Would 100% recommend. Real professional and good dive spot. I went there really late 12 o'clock at midday in outseson. And I've been the only one for the afternoon dive. It was no Probleme and I went with the divemaster alone as Budi outside. They have really good spots and good equipment. A lot of racks and nice fish spots. The owner has done his certificate in Germany Rostock and is well trained. He also has a amazing hotel "Green escape". Because I've dived I got a discount. So if you searching for a god place to stay ore a god dive school and spot, you should stop here.

We went for their scuba diving course over last weekend with my friends. It was great. Due to our satisfaction of them on scuba diving, we asked from the local staff over there whether they offer surfing lessons as well. One guy who was talking with us informed us that their rate is 4500 LKR per person. Since we had 6 people who wanted to participate, the local guy agreed to offer the lessons for 4000 LKR per person. The guy informed us the lessons will be conducted at Dewata beach, so after we changed to suitable clothing we were taken to Dewata beach by tuk tuks. After we went there this guy went back saying he has some work to do and our lesson was carried out by an Ahikava surf school trainer. With this we smelled that something has gone wrong with the process how we got into the surf lesson although the lesson it self was great. So we asked around and got to know that usually the per hour cost for a trainer is 1500 LKR and 500 LKR for a surf board. WE WERE SCAMMED! So after the lessons we went back and complaint to the diving place manager about the guy who was their staff and also to the owner of the diving place. But we did not get back the extra money we paid although all the parties were present. Utterly disappointed about the place. Not only the foreigners, these people even scam local tourists. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE! If they said they do not offer that service, we would have gone to the Dewata beach by ourselves for the lesson where for a person maximum cost would be 2000 LKR. We were scammed to pay double the actual cost. The guy who scammed us is in the photo attached.

I did here my Open Water Dive certificate and it was perfect! The lessons were very interesting and funny and the instructor Shiniee was very professional. Te first day we did an immersion in a swimming pool and another one in open water and the second day we did three in the water. It was amazing. All the staff there were very nice and professional. We got in touch with the manager, Dodo, and he was very helpful from the first day. I highly recommend this dive centre.

Loved my diving experiment with Pearl Divers. Dive master and manager were really professional. Did four dives with them and felt safe all the time. Dive masters pointed out amazing little nudibranchs all the time, and we saw a 🐢.Visibility wasn’t always great, but nevertheless a great experience. Good prices as well.

The resort, as well as the facilities and equipment, is very modern. Everything is super tidy and the guides know what they are doing. I felt super accompanied here and had two wonderful dives. The price-performance ratio here is outstanding!

We got in touch with Pearl Divers when my dad and I wanted to do a couple of dives while here in Unawatuna. Dodo expedited the process and put us through to Lisi. Lisi is an absolutely phenomenal diver and human and made me feel extremely at ease with 0 stress or anxiety. I did 2 dives with her with Georgia accompanying us on the 2nd and I have never felt more relaxed 20m under the ocean before! The equipment was well maintained, the people were warm and helpful and the space was super hygienic end to end. Eagerly waiting to come back and do other sites while also pursuing a professional course thanks to Lisi. Can't wait to do more dives with her showing me the ropes. 10/10 space I highly recommend diving with Pearl Divers, Lisi, Georgia and Ivan.

We did our open water course here and were more than satisfied with it. Due to illness we once had to cancel a dive and then pause the course for a few days, but that wasn't a problem. The diving instructor Rushan was super nice and helpful and explained everything very well. I can absolutely recommend the Tauschule!

We did 4 dives and one night dive each. Dodo and his team gave us always a good feeling, took care about us and everything. The dive. Were always in small groups, just 2-3 persons. We did our dives with Ranga. It was so relaxed. We always felt safe and comfortable. Thank you so much for the incredible time.

Excellent dive center proposing 16 different dive sites. Pinnacles, boat wreks, reef etc. Nive dive gear provided. In here we speak English, German, French, Chinese and Russian. All explanations on the pictures

CRAZY EXPENSIVE, 0 CUSTOMER CARE We didn't use their service. We entered the establishment asking for jet ski, a member of the staff told us right away that jet ski was too expensive and that we should do snorkeling instead. He tried to sell us a ridiculously expensive snorkeling tour, €95 for 2 hours. First of all they should listen to the customer instead of offering something completely different and second of all they should lower the prices. We ended up doing a snorkeling tour with another company for €40 both of us and I saw the Pearl Divers boat without any business through the day

Did my very first dive here and felt so comfortable and confident because of all the staff. They were so lovely and made me feel at ease. Definitely recommend this place!!

Fantastic dive, we saw loads of marine life despite the visibility initially on the top being a little cloudy. Ranga was 10/10, so professional and we felt super safe with him. Overall it was a great experience

I had my 1st dive here n it was awesome . Water is clear. Our instructor George was very kind n trained us well. Had a awesome dive. Kudos to Pearl diving centre n thanks a lot George.

It's lovely place to chill, on Thursday night is the party day for this place. Good crowd, locals and foreigners both are there. Can enjoy good music, from the owner to the staff are really trendy, they serve u with a smile, even kids can be entertained here. If u need to go diving this is the place to be. And if u need to go whale watching they will arrange you the same. They got a villa called thambili can be check with the availability and book the villa as well. And it has a pool facing the sea. Go enjoy your stay.

I recommend this place if you want to have a deep sea adventure with guaranteed safety. Owner is nice and friendly. Guides are very experienced and friendly. There will be 1 guide for 2 persons. They will guide you through out the journey. You will be in the deep sea for around 30 - 35 minitues if you do not panic. Do not take any heavy meal before the dive.

Not the greatest diving conditions (strong current and limited visibility) but good equipment, good boat and good staff. $65 for 2 dives and equipment (Nov 2023) seemed a good price. Free pick up and drop off was much appreciated. Thanks to Rangan for looking after us.

Great dive centre. Really good location right in Unawatuna Beach. Good dive spots and competitive prices. They are nice flexible with which dives you want to do, and the staff are all super friendly. Definitely recommend.

What an amazing experience! We were able to do the e-learning in advance online, so we didn't waste any time from our holiday doing that. We had a 2 hour session with our instructor to do different exercises in the water and after that we did 4 dives in different locations. We were able to do the "confined water training " in the shallow bit of the ocean. Our instructor, William, was great! Very calm, knowledgeable and helpful.

Very good dive centre with very nice instructors (thanks Roshan). I can recommend without hesistation. Not only me as a certified diver, but also my wife, who has never dived before, was excellently taken care of. Although she is a scaredy-cat, they understood how to create a nice experience for her. By western standards, the prices are on the cheap side, the equipment rented on site made a great impression and was in great condition. If you want to dive in Unawatuna or Trincomalee, let Dodo and his team pick you up.

I met the Pearl Divers team in Unawatuna in November 2021 for my Advanced Open Water Diver course. 🤿 I was at that time not very reassured but irresistibly attracted by the idea of ​​developing my diving skills. Dodo was my instructor for this course and knew how to help me put up with my apprehensions, thanks for his patience, his experience and his sense of pedagogy. Thanks to him, I am now in the process of taking each of the five PADI Specialty Diver certifications to become a Master Scuba Diver. What a long way! I did the Open Water Diver in their location Trincomalee, as it is offseason in Unawatuna. Best time I've had in the last months travelling. Location is insanely beautifull, staff amazing, I was treated like a princess and learned to dive with the best, Dodo. I'm super gratefull to have experienced the underwater life with them. Highly recommend! Will come back :)

I loved everything about them, very serious, professionals but at same time very fun and friendly team. 360 degree of high quality of service delivered by high qualified instructors with years of experience. They give you treats and lunch but most of all they make you feel comfortable and part of the team! Loved it!!!

We had our first diving experience… it was awesome! The instructors patiently taught us and guided us throughout. Super friendly team and they ensured that we thoroughly understood everything before stepping into deep waters to ensure our safety. P.S. The instructors (Shan) went out of the way in capturing many of our underwater experiences 😄. Totally recommend!!!

I really recommend learning to dive here! The people are so welcoming and helpful and make your learning really enjoyable. My teacher was Rushan and he was fantastic! Offered food and drink throughout as well as a pick up service from your hotel if you were nearby. Overall, a very good diving centre with kind people and talented instructors. Thank you :)
