Good value for money. Friendly staff. Decent seafood. Only complaint was the sauce on the calamari was too sweet and the ketchup was overpowering. The prawns with the soy chilly sauce was excellent.

Located close to the corner of the Pedlar’s Street. Price is affordable comparing to many other restaurants. Food presentation and quality is good. Building is long and spacious. Parking is close to the restaurant beside galle fort roads. Staff is very friendly and supportive. Drinks are tasty 😋 Vibe is good.

The Old Dutch fortress at Galle is a place that must be visited definitely. Galle VOC restaurant is a great place with a nice comfy feel of Europe byroads but a bit of excessive warmth. They do have displayed menus upfront with a pleasant guest relation. They do offer great food. The cuisine is highly recommended and the selection is very hard. I did have a pineapple pinàcolada it was a great cocktail to go with. Secondly, I went for a butter naan with cyed6ans tikka masala. It was brilliant. Top notched. All the organic flavours rushed to the brain with the stimulation and it makes you drool over food more than usual. Aroma is never the second. So we're the visuals. Secondly, I did go for seafood (prawns) rice it was good. Brillant was the first. All the foods were flavour rich and reached the taste buds in seconds. Highly recommended but the only con is the portion is not enough for the price.

A reasonable priced restaurant for Galle-Fort standards. Most other restaurants in the area are way more expensive than this one. They have a backyard outdoor seating area with an elegant vibe specially at night. The taste of the food however is not that great and the portions were pretty small. The food took a bit longer to arrive but it was a very busy day at the restaurant. Recommended if you are on a budget.

Dip in here to escape the heat! Shaded and with fans, the staff keep you hydrated with flavoursome drinks. I had iced mocca (which was super tasty). My mate had mango juice which was fresh.

We loved dining outside while watching the people stroll by. Service was good and drinks were tasty. Especially enjoyed the Develled Fish and Butter Chicken. Back again for the Curry Fish & Rice. So nice! Great food and much less $ than many other places. Highly recommended!

Looked like a busy typical tourist place, but the ratings were good and food looked nice, so we gave it a try. We were not disappointed, the fried fish came with a dip, salad and saffron rice and was really good, especially for the price. The pumpkin soup and banana lassi were also very good. They have courtyard seating in the back. Unfortunately we stayed only a night in Galle, would have loved to go there again.

Ate here 3 times and also for drinks at the end of the night. Each time we sat at the front of the restaurant rather than in the garden area. Food and drinks were always good and reasonably priced. Service was friendly and efficient. Highlights were Moscow Mule and Nasi Goreng.

Searching for places to eat inside the historic Galle Dutch Fort and this place popped up. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite. The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. I love that you get a lot of food as well for the price. It’s definitely not like other expensive restaurants and you only get a small amount of food. I am definitely going back. As a person who hates eating outside, here I enjoyed the view and the sea breeze whilst I was having Dinner. And guess what, we came back for next day lunch as well and they didnt disappoint me at all!

This was the first restaurant we visited on our trip to the Galle Fort. Loved the rustic vibe and casual setting. We ordered the chicken kottu and a couple of other dishes. The food tasted wholesome and filling. However, the curry can taste the same on different dishes. The service was great and we felt well cared for.

The building is astonishing, the atmosphere supreme. It’s quite pricey, but the food was great (you can ask ‘no spicy’, just to take a break from the fires of local food lol) and the service was perfect. We ordered a bottle of white wine and it was a NO NO: ready to pay a high price, but expecting quality, which wasn’t there at all. Not worth the 20 Euros for the wine, go for a beer, but extrremely reccomended for all the rest.

Randomly decided to have dinner here and it was fabulous! Super delicious and great value Seafood platter for 2, which was super tasty and well prepared. Also very friendly staff and overall perfect service. Thanks to the team, highly recommended and hope to be back soon :)

Cafe at Pedlar Street, inside Galle Fort. Bit of an old building, a reasonable variety of food available, with a liquor licence. Food presentation was excellent, but taste mediocre. In relative terms, a bit pricey for a cafe of this standard.

Delicious food at a reasonable price, do not recommend their chicken breast as the portion was small compared to their other dishes in the same price range.

Here you can find Lavazza. I’ve missed good coffee! Also, brownie is amazing! Quite and nice place to chill.
