Highly recommend hotel for Puglia west coast. Except of the rooms which are a little small and dark, everything else is exceptional good. I would highly advice the half board as the dinner on the beautiful terrace always was delicious and showcased a great variety. Even after 4 nights we were still looking forward for dinner. The service is really great overall! Especially also the young lady at the reception did a tremendous job and was always super welcoming and friendly. I loved the beach facility at the rocks straight in front of the hotel as it is great for swimming and snorkeling (take bathing shoes!). The little town of Santa Maria Al Bagno is nice and has a great walking area along the coastline. Overall our favorite spot on the 10 days trip through Puglia.

Good 4 star hotel. But requires a few upgrades like a shower on the private beach, a better gym. But the food was good. So a good 3 stars

I've known Nardò and Santa Maria al bagno for 15 years. This is the only real hotel in Nardò and it's a good one. They refurbished the hotel that was built in the 60s with great taste to modern standards. I've stayed for one night only to experience it and wasn't able to try out the spa, but visited the swimming pool and seaside platform. I stayed with no kids this time but it makes a great place for families. Private parking is free. The staff is very nice.

Nice hotel, good service. Nice breakfast and free water from the tap. The airco in the room was pretty loud and went on and off frequently so it wakes you up at night. We had to pay 30 euro's extra for the parkinglot.

Had a fantastic week here. A great location, only a couple of hundred metres from the restaurants and bars of Santa Maria. But why, when we carefully hang our towels up each day for re-use are they always replaced (sometimes twice a day!). And it would be nice if the rooms had real glasses, not plastic disposable ones!

We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel, and it definitely surpassed our expectations. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful, and we were impressed with the level of service. Especially enjoyed the poolside lunches. Good location between 2 settlements. We would advise mosquito repellent for the evening if leaving the hotel!

We spent the second week of our honeymoon at Grand Hotel Riviera, after spending the first week at another CDS location. The hotel was wonderful, and we had a great time swimming in the sea, eating all the great food, and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We especially enjoyed the dinner under the stars, which was organized outside on the terrace. We will definitely plan to return!

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Everyone is helpful. The hotel is located across the ocean and walking distance to Santa Maria al Bagno. The food is decent. Our favorite day is the dinner on Thursday (on the terrace with great food and a live band). Some rooms with ocean view have a fantastic view. It was overall a great vacation at the Grand Riviera!

Beautifully renovated hotel. We were a little out of season (mid may) and were disappointed to find that facilities we had chosen this hotel for (playground, kids club) were unavailable. This was not made clear on the booking site (hotels.com) and this was a big deal for us. But the staff were excellent, food was good (though no a la carte menu and needed to book and choose food in the morning to have dinner). Air con didn’t work for most of our stay. Started working the final night and was very loud. This hotel is brilliant, but some slight tweaks that I imagine will be mostly ironed out by high season.

Beautiful Hotel in front of the sea, with direct view from the restaurant, terrace and rooms. Amazing staff, very nice and helpfull to every single request, a special thanks to our favourite lifegard "Peppino", we definitely plan to come back in Pulia next summer and visit again the hotel.

The wooden beach deck with steps right into the gorgeous sea is the best if you love to not just sunbathe but actually swim in the warm waters of the Ionian.

We stayed four nights here and were lucky to have a room at the front with a sea view. The bed was extremely comfy and the room and bathroom spotlessly clean and aircon very efficient. The private “beach” (actually man-made platforms on the rocks with sun loungers) across the road is lovely with friendly lifeguards and great access to the crystal clear water. Top tip: bring rock shoes as the going is rather tough getting into the water! We borrowed free bikes from reception staff(very helpful and friendly) and rode each night to Santa Catarina al Bagno where there’s a small number of excellent restaurants to chose from. (Favourite: Art Nouveau). Only took off one star because of the lack of any extraction in the bathroom (there is a windows least) and the strange playing of music all night in the corridors outside rooms.

Excellent value, superbly clean, great food including the breakfasts, very modern, well laid out rooms, very attentive staff and a great location. There isn't an awful lot to do in and around the hotel, so to make the best of the area you could do with a hire car, theres lots to see and visit. Would definitely recommend using this hotel.

The hotel has own garden, what is huge, green and well organised. The hotel has own swimming pool too. Perfect place for families and ppl who wants to just relax a bit. For children/babies has separated kitchen and play ground😊

Perfect from start to finish. Fantastic staff - so helpful and welcoming. Spotlessly clean in all areas of the hotel. Food outstanding and staff in dining areas so polite and attentive. We requested a birthday cake at very short notice and this was provided with no trouble at all - a beautiful mimosa cake - gorgeous! The dinner served under the stars was magical. View from our room overlooking the sea and the town was stunning. Terrace in front of the hotel was wonderful and swimming off the rocks so memorable. Daily yoga was the real icing on the cake - Sandra is a fantastic yoga teacher and the view was second to none. We will be returning here next year without a doubt. Thank you to everyone - you have given us the perfect holiday.
