La torre è una struttura difensiva del 300 circondata da un fossato pieno d'acqua sorgiva. è uno dei punti più alti della Lecce antica. il sito è molto interessante e rivela presenze remote. nelle foto Lecce vista dal terrazzo della torre (vi si sale da una strettissima scala a chiocciola), il ninfeo in cui si dice faceva il bagno Maria d'Enghien che poi è stato ricavato in un frantoio usato dai frati Agostiniani. Il parco è dotato di giochi per bambini, spazi ampi, bar e un interessante orto botanico. 8-23 l'orario estivo. purtroppo la torre e in ninfeo non sono visitabili sempre.
