The Church of Santa Chiara is located in the historic center of Lecce, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II. The beginnings of the church date back to the 14th century. In the church, there are wooden statues of saints from the end of the 17th century. The presbytery has a large altar.

Excellent representative of Lecce’s Barroco period. Is a must see in this city. I totally recommend getting the pass to this and many other churches so you can explore each altar and Saint in close detail. Photos cannot do it justice

This little terribly ugly looking place has the courage to ask for tickets (money)to get inside... get a grip, you are not Rome. 10/10 NOT RECOMMENDED.
