Omg! I'm so full right now, I'll have to write another review really soon. This trip, I ordered the JUMBO combination plate. Jumbo is the right word to describe the quantity. The quality, omgosh. Let's just say my tamale didn't make the initial picture because it was stolen by my fellow foodie, and later my beef taco. I've been coming here for decades now. First with my grandparents and now with my daughter. I hope this place stays open forever. Thank you Gordos for all the food and memories. Look forward to making more memories, and trying more items on your menu.

We are making a cross country trip and TRYING to find only local place to eat. GORDO'S was a terrific luch stop. We were seated as soon as we walked in even though the place was packed. Our waitress was so upbeat you would never guess how hard they were all working. Our food was delicious and FILLING!

Finally, real sopapillas! Our food it the spot, I just wish I ordered all green instead of Christmas, it wasn't spicy enough for me. That salsa with the chips was so spicy and good we had to get some to-go. Over all our food was delicious and we were quickly seated.

Service was fantastic, friendly and food was great! We had the Combination Plate Beef Taco, Beef Tamale and Onion & Cheese Enchilada with Red Chili Sauce and the Navajo Taco with Red Chili Sauce. You want authentic, come here! Highly recommend making a stop, it’s worth it. Food was well seasoned, great portion size and reasonably priced.

If you're traveling thru Gallup you need to check this spot out on Rte 66. Portions are huge, if you leave hungry that's on you. I had the Combination Plate with red/green (Christmas), the green was extra hot and the red had lots of flavor. Very good food, service and atmosphere.

Delicious food and just hot and spicy enough. Both red and green sauces are delicious. We had the chicken enchiladas and combination plate. Most friendly service in town. Prices are very reasonable. Most places close early here in Gallup but they're open 9-7:30pm here. $30 for two dinner plates and two all you can drink teas.

Not worth the hype; I'm sure it's the locals leaving good reviews. The food is very bland (no flavor except the chili which wasn't good), fries were cold and soggy and the dish ware were sooooo old and outdated like the building. Please get new cups to serve your beverages in for the sake of safety.

I’m from Southern California and this is by far the best Mexican food I have ever had. Great prices, service, food , location and atmosphere.

The food was not bad but I would not try it again. I’m used to carne asada, pastor. Not ground beef. That’s some white people stuff. And I’m white. Nice service.

Went earlier today on a trip home back to Arizona. Stopped for lunch, service was good but the food not so much. I got a beef and bean burrito which just happened to be flavorless ground beef with a tortilla on top and red chile which didn’t have much flavor either sadly(The green chile was good though). My partner got a steak burrito which happened to be a a tortilla folded around a piece of steak and some fries on the side. Not what I expected for Mexican food.

Got a table near the entrance but if you don't like the cold air hitting you from time to time don't sit there. The service is one of the best I have received from other places I've eaten in the area. Didn't have to yell or find a waiter to help out. Food is Alright. My friend said that the fried chicken was a little dry. When placing a to-go order over the phone, they are sometimes busy so you have to be a little patience when picking up.

Cozy little place with great Mexican food. The chili actually had a bite to it. Super nice staff and prompt service. Definitely worth a visit.

We were just passing through and saw high scores on the online reviews so stopped in. A bit off the beaten path but worth it. Very casual, pleasant and fast service. Food was very good and prices were reasonable. Thanks.

OK so we went in and got a seat, and the bus boy got our drinks and menus, but the waitress walked by us 4 times and did not acknowledge us so I got her attention and asked if we could get a server.but about 10min of waiting a gentleman sat down and ordered from that server and he got his food before we even got to order...the owner came by and took order she was lovely, BUT! that sever is the reason for only 3 💫...friendliness is godliness, that server didn't have it and oh yes that's why I didn't leave gratuity...!

Best New Mexican food we've had in a while! Great flavor, accurate level of spiciness, commendable customer service and an authentic gem. Britt was our server and she did a great job.

This place was pretty decent. The main dishes were flavorful but the beans and rice were meh. Friendly staff.

Family road trip. We were coming from Santa fe NM looking for a place to have breakfast. Came to Gordos cafe with a good # of stars which I agree well deserved. I had the huevos rancheros with the red sauce which was mild compared to the green sauce. The service was awesome and we were surprised with what we paid less than 100 for a party of 7 adding extras to the boys breakfast they charge a 15% of gratitude to the bill if it's a big party. If you pass by Gallup I highly recommend this place.
