I went to this place on my trip to arizona seeing the good reviews and was not disappointed! Small little shack with great atmosphere and funny signs to read while you waited. Service was fast and attentive. All the food was amazing, there wasn't anything we had there that was bad. The highlight for me was the chicken fried steak, real nice and crispy on the outside, melted in your mouth and was perfectly seasoned. The eggs were also amazing, as the omelette they were thin light and fluffy and overeasy they were cooked to perfection and the yolk was rich with great flavor. The coffee and hot chocolate were excellent. The value for what we paid and what we got was also fantastic. If you're ever in Gallup and need a place for breakfast this is the place to go!

Great folks and still one of my favorite little breakfast places. It seems their portion sizes have dropped a bit but honestly they were a bit rediculouse before. You still get plenty of great food served up by wonderful people. Their homemade tortillas are a must and the burritos are too die for. Easily worth the five stars.

Quaint, friendly local place on Route 66. Tasty burgers (I had one with green chili's, bacon and cheddar) crinkle cut fries. Everything was good. We were told that breakfast is the bomb too. Trying french toast and country fried steak next!

After driving across 5 states and eating breakfast daily, I finally found a truly wonderful New Mexico style breakfast at Sandra's. I had a breakfast burrito smothered with half red and half green chili, stuffed with ham, egg, potato, and cheese along with a side of pinto beans. It was exactly what I was looking for. I added a flour tortilla at the end to finish up the beans and leftover sauce and almost broke into tears because the homemade tortillas were like my dad used to make. I drive through Gallup 3 or 4 times a year and will be back every time I'm in town for sure.

Cute Dinner, wonderful staff, and willing to make a stranger's bad day into a great one. Large portions and phenomenal tasting food. If you have a sense of humor, you will like it even more. I enjoyed myself profusely.

Really good food, the red Chile was so tasty and had some heat to it! Had a hurricane burrito for the first time and would recommend yo everyone. The service was great, fast, friendly and the best part was we never needed to ask for anything they were there with everything as weennwded it.

Quaint place, with an “Indian cowboy” look. Food is fantastic. The “hole in the wall” aspect is somehow a cover: for instance, they take all major credit cards, including American Express. Still a fantastic, inexpensive place to have breakfast or brunch. I had the special (Huevos Rancheros) and they were great.

Cute place. Staff was nice and service was efficient. Food was meh. My burger was just a burger, fine but lacked seasoning and the bun was dry. My husband liked the relleno burger and my daughter said the patty melt was pretty good. Frozen fries.

Such a cute place and the food was wonderful! Homemade sausage gravy was to die for! Everyone was friendly and the place was packed on a Sunday morning.

Excellent service! The food was prepared exactly as we requested (my husband wants his scrambled eggs well done, dry, and brown). They were cooked to perfection.

went for breakfast. the food was average. and the waitstaff was also. the most concerning thing was the cleanliness. the restroom did not have got water! and an industrial sized toilet paper was just left out on the toilet. it barely fit. the complacency was apparent.

Great staff. Abide the rules (they're simple and coinside with being a decent patron). Food is great. Chicken fried steak with green chile is my favorite. Huge pancakes. My choice place to go for breakfast.

Food was above average and priced decent. Service was even better than the food. Would NOT recommend getting a motel nearby but if you’re passing through it’s a unique place to stop and get some good food. We’ll likely be back if we come through again

Nice place to visit. Small restaurant. It's worth headed to since we got stuck with I40 being closed this morning.

Enjoyed Sandra at Sandra's Place! She served us and when we drive through again sometime we will be back! Food was great and the service was quick and so personal! They were so accommodating and felt like I knew them. You can tell the locals are their friends and come there often!

Yummy home cooking!! We wanted a breakfast stop off the beaten path. A big name was next to the highway, but we wanted a place where we could enjoy as the locals would. That is how we came to be at Sandra's Place. Off of Route 66, you will find a festive terracotta storefront positioned on the corner anchored between two auto businesses. Walking in, you will see a handful of tables, a barstool area for those dining alone, and a dedicated table to accommodate parties of more than five. The staff is very friendly as are the locals. The food is yummy, priced just right, and delivered quickly to your table. They expand on the traditional morning meal options with biscuits and gravy as well as burritos, and breakfast sandwiches. I really enjoyed a half-order of french toast with sausage and egg (Beware: a half order is PLENTY). Eating later, no worries! Breakfast is served all day and their lunch options will make your mouth water. Definitely recommend if you want to avoid franchises and enjoy a good, hearty meal with good folks.

Started out great. Wait staff was pleasant. They were busy and stated it would be a few minutes. Not an issue. Once seated, our waitress was attentive. Once we placed our order, all seemed well. Thirty minutes later, after watching (5) tables come in after us get served, we asked about ours. Wait staff said it would be a moment. They were waiting on my pancakes… We had watched three of the five tables who arrived after us get their pancakes. Not a good statement! We departed after that. The boss stated that our ticket didn’t register in their system so our meal was missed. My statement is, if that was the case, why didn’t our waitress just tell us when they found the error?…

I always drive by this place and I finally decided to stop by. The hashbrowns were more mushy than crispy. The green chile sauce is salty and a bit too rich. The price was fair. About 8 dollars for a basic eggs, potato and bacon breakfast. The service was weird. The atmosphere was what really threw me off. The tables had a ridiculous set of "rules." The waitresses were flirting with the guys at the next table. A very loud place. The decor doesn't know what it wants to be.
